መዝሙር ፺፮

1. Verse 1.፩

   ዘዳዊት ፡ ዘአመ ፡ ገብአ ፡ ምድሩ ። እግዚአብሔር ፡ ነግሠ ፡ ትትሐሠር ፡ ምድር ፤ ወይትሐሥያ ፡ ደሰያት ፡ ብዙኃት ።

   Of David, for when his land was restored. Yahweh reigns; let the earth rejoice; let the many islands be glad.

2. Verse 2.፪

   ደመና ፡ ወቆባር ፡ ዐውዶ ፤ ፍትሕ ፡ ወርትዕ ፡ ተድላ ፡ መንበሩ ።

   Cloud and gloom are around him; judgment and equity are the foundation of his throne.

3. Verse 3.፫

   እሳት ፡ ይሐውር ፡ ቅድሜሁ ፤ ወነድ ፡ የዐግቶሙ ፡ ለጸላእቱ ።

   Fire shall go before him, and a flame shall encircle his enemies.

4. Verse 4.፬

   አስተርአየ ፡ መባርቅቲሁ ፡ ለዓለም ፤ ርእየት ፡ ወአድለቅለቀት ፡ ምድር ።

   His lightnings appeared to the world; the earth saw and trembled.

5. Verse 5.፭

   ወአድባርኒ ፡ ተመሰዉ ፡ ከመ ፡ ስምዕ ፡ እምቅድመ ፡ ገጹ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፤ እምቅድመ ፡ ገጹ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ኵላ ፡ ምድር ።

   And the mountains melted like wax before the face of Yahweh, before the face of Yahweh of all the earth.

6. Verse 6.፮

   ይነግራ ፡ ሰማያት ፡ ጽድቀ ፡ ዚአሁ ፤ ወኵሎሙ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ርእዩ ፡ ስብሐቲሁ ።

   The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the peoples have seen his glory.

7. Verse 7.፯

   ይትኀፈሩ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ይሰግዱ ፡ ለግልፎ ፤ እለ ፡ ይትሜክሑ ፡ በአማልክቲሆሙ ፤ ወይስግዱ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ መላእክቲሁ ።

   Let all who worship a carved image be ashamed, who boast in their idols; and worship him, all his angels.

8. Verse 8.፰

   ሰምዐት ፡ ወተፈሥሐት ፡ ጽዮን ፡ ወተሐሥያ ፡ አዋልደ ፡ ይሁዳ ፤ በእንተ ፡ ፍትሕከ ፡ እግዚኦ ።

   Zion heard and rejoiced, and the daughters of Judah were glad, because of your judgments, O Yahweh.

9. Verse 9.፱

   እስመ ፡ አንተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ልዑል ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ምድር ፤ ፈድፋደ ፡ ተለዐልከ ፡ እምኵሉ ፡ አማልክት ።

   For you, Yahweh, are most high in all the earth; you are exalted exceedingly above all gods.

10. Verse 10.፲

    እለ ፡ ታፈቅርዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ጽልእዋ ፡ ለእኪት ፤ የዐቅብ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ነፍሰ ፡ ጻድቃኑ ፡ ወያድኅኖሙ ፡ እምእደ ፡ ኃጥኣን ።

    You who love Yahweh, hate evil; Yahweh keeps the souls of his righteous ones, and delivers them from the hand of sinners.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    በርህ ፡ ሠረቀ ፡ ለጻድቃን ፤ ወለርቱዓነ ፡ ልብ ፡ ትፍሥሕት ።

    Light has dawned for the righteous, and gladness for the upright of heart.

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    ይትፌሥሑ ፡ ጻድቃን ፡ በእግዚአብሔር ፤ ወይገንዩ ፡ ለዝክረ ፡ ቅድሳቱ ።

    Rejoice, you righteous, in Yahweh, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
