መዝሙር ፺፬

1. Verse 1.፩

   ስብሐተ ፡ ማኅሌት ፡ ዘዳዊት ። ንዑ ፡ ንትፈሣሕ ፡ በእግዚአብሔር ፤ ወንየብብ ፡ ለአምላክነ ፡ ወመድኀኒነ ።

   A song of praise, of David. Come, let us rejoice in Yahweh, and let us shout for joy to God our Savior.

2. Verse 2.፪

   ወንብጻሕ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ገጹ ፡ በአሚን ፤ ወበመዝሙር ፡ ንየብብ ፡ ሎቱ ።

   And let us come before his face with thanksgiving, and let us shout for joy to him with a psalm.

3. Verse 3.፫

   እስመ ፡ ዐቢይ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክነ ፤ ወንጉሥ ፡ ዐቢይ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ አማልክት ። እስመ ፡ ኢይገድፎሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሕዝቡ ።

   For Yahweh our God is great, and he is a great king above all gods. For Yahweh will not cast off his people.

4. Verse 4.፬

   እስመ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እዴሁ ፡ አጽናፈ ፡ ምድር ፤ ወአድባር ፡ ነዋኃት ፡ ዚአሁ ፡ ውእቱ ።

   For in his hand are the ends of the earth, and the high mountains are his.

5. Verse 5.፭

   እስመ ፡ እንቲአሁ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ባሕር ፡ ወውእቱ ፡ ፈጠራ ፤ ወለየብሰኒ ፡ እደዊሁ ፡ ገብራ ።

   For his is the sea, and he made it, and the dry land his hands formed.

6. Verse 6.፮

   ንዑ ፡ ንስግድ ፡ ወንግነይ ፡ ሎቱ ፤ ወንብኪ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘውእቱ ፡ ፈጠረነ ።

   Come, let us worship and bow down to him, and let us weep before Yahweh who made us.

7. Verse 7.፯

   እስመ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ አምላክነ ፤ ወንሕነሰ ፡ ሕዝቡ ፡ አባግዐ ፡ መርዔቱ ፤ ዮም ፡ ለእመ ፡ ሰማዕክሙ ፡ ቃሎ ።

   For he is our God, and we are his people, the sheep of his pasture; today, if you hear his voice,

8. Verse 8.፰

   ኢታጽንዑ ፡ ልበክሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ አመ ፡ አምረርዎ ፡ በገዳም ፡ ወአመ ፡ አመከርዎ ።

   harden not your hearts as when they provoked him in the wilderness, and when they tempted him,

9. Verse 9.፱

   ዘአመከሩኒ ፡ አበዊክሙ ፤ ፈተኑኒ ፡ ወርእዩ ፡ መግባርየ ።

   where your fathers tempted me; they tested me, and saw my works.

10. Verse 10.፲

    ወአርብዓ ፡ ዓመተ ፡ ተቈጣዕክዋ ፡ ለይእቲ ፡ ትውልድ ፡ ወእቤ ፡ ዘልፈ ፡ ይስሕት ፡ ልቦሙ ፤ ወእሙንቱሰ ፡ ኢያእመሩ ፡ ፍናውየ ።

    Forty years I was angry with that generation, and I said, Their heart always goes astray; and they themselves did not know my ways.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    በከመ ፡ መሐልኩ ፡ በመዐትየ ፤ ከመ ፡ ኢይበውኡ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ዕረፍትየ ።

    As I swore in my wrath, that they should not enter into my rest.
