መዝሙር ፺፫

1. Verse 1.፩

   መዝሙር ፡ ዘዳዊት ፡ ዘበረቡዕ ሰንበት ። እግዚአብሔር ፡ እግዚእ ፡ መስተበቅል ፤ እግዚአብሔር ፡ መስተበቅል ፡ ገሀደ ።

   A psalm of David, for the fourth day of the week. Yahweh is the Lord of vengeance; Yahweh, the avenger, has appeared openly.

2. Verse 2.፪

   ተለዐለ ፡ ዘይኴንና ፡ ለምድር ፤ ፍድዮሙ ፡ ፍዳሆሙ ፡ ለዕቡያን ።

   Be exalted, you who judge the earth; render to the proud their recompense.

3. Verse 3.፫

   እስከ ፡ ማእዜኑ ፡ ኃጥኣን ፡ እግዚኦ ፤ እስከ ፡ ማእዜኑ ፡ ይዜሀሩ ፡ ኃጥኣን ።

   How long shall the sinners, O Yahweh, how long shall the sinners exult?

4. Verse 4.፬

   ይትዋሥኡ ፡ ወይነቡ ፡ ዐመፃ ፤ ወይነቡ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ ገበርተ ፡ ዐመፃ ።

   They speak out and utter iniquity, and all the workers of iniquity utter it.

5. Verse 5.፭

   ወአኅሰሩ ፡ ሕዝበከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፤ ወሣቀዩ ፡ ርስተከ ።

   And they have humbled your people, O Yahweh, and they have afflicted your inheritance.

6. Verse 6.፮

   ወቀተሉ ፡ እቤረ ፡ ወእጓለ ፡ ማውታ ፤ ወቀተሉ ፡ ፈላሴ ።

   And they have slain the widow and the orphan, and they have killed the stranger.

7. Verse 7.፯

   ወይቤሉ ፡ ኢይሬኢ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፤ ወኢያአምር ፡ አምላከ ፡ ያዕቆብ ።

   And they have said, Yahweh does not see, and the God of Jacob does not perceive.

8. Verse 8.፰

   ለብዉ ፡ አብዳነ ፡ ሕዝብ ፤ አብዳንኬ ፡ ማእዜኑ ፡ ይጠቡ ።

   Understand, you senseless ones among the people; and you fools, when will you become wise?

9. Verse 9.፱

   ወተከላሁ ፡ ለእዝን ፡ ኢይሰምዕኑ ፤ ወዘፈጠራሁ ፡ ለዐይን ፡ ኢይሬኢኑ ።

   He who planted the ear, does he not hear? And he who formed the eye, does he not see?

10. Verse 10.፲

    ዘይጌሥጾሙ ፡ ለአሕዛብ ፡ ኢይዛለፍኑ ፤ ዘይሜህሮሙ ፡ ለሰብእ ፡ ጥበበ ።

    He who chastises the nations, shall he not rebuke? He who teaches mankind wisdom?

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    እግዚአብሔር ፡ ያአምር ፡ ሕሊናሆሙ ፡ ለጠቢባን ፡ ከመ ፡ ከንቱ ፡ ውእቱ ።

    Yahweh knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vanity.

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    ብፁዕ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ዘአንተ ፡ ገሠጽኮ ፡ እግዚኦ ፤ ወዘመሀርኮ ፡ ሕገከ ።

    Blessed is the man whom you chastise, O Yahweh, and whom you teach out of your law,

13. Verse 13.፲፫

    ከመ ፡ ይትገሐስ ፡ እምዋዕል ፡ እኩያት ፤ እስከ ፡ ይትከረይ ፡ ግብ ፡ ለኃጥኣን ።

    that he may have respite from evil days, until a pit is dug for the sinner.

14. Verse 14.፲፬

    እስመ ፡ ኢይገድፎሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሕዝቡ ፤ ወኢየኀድጎሙ ፡ ለርስቱ ።

    For Yahweh will not cast off his people, nor will he forsake his inheritance,

15. Verse 15.፲፭

    እስከ ፡ ይገብእ ፡ ፍትሕ ፡ ለዘ ፡ ይጸድቅ ፤ ወኵሎሙ ፡ ርቱዓነ ፡ ልብ ፡ እለ ፡ ኪያሃ ፡ ቦሙ ።

    until judgment returns to the righteous one, and with it are all the upright of heart.

16. Verse 16.፲፮

    መኑ ፡ ይትናሥአኒ ፡ በእንተ ፡ እኩያን ፤ ወመኑ ፡ ይትቃወመኒ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ገበርተ ፡ ዐመፃ ።

    Who will rise up for me against the wicked? And who will stand with me against the workers of iniquity?

17. Verse 17.፲፯

    ሶበ ፡ አኮ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘረድአኒ ፤ ሕቀ ፡ ከመ ፡ ዘእምኀደረት ፡ ነፍስየ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሲኦል ።

    Unless Yahweh had been my helper, my soul would soon have dwelt in Sheol.

18. Verse 18.፲፰

    ወሶበ ፡ እቤ ፡ ድኅፃ ፡ እገርየ ፤ ምሕረትከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ረድአኒ ።

    And when I said, My foot has slipped, your mercy, O Yahweh, helped me.

19. Verse 19.፲፱

    እግዚኦ ፡ በከመ ፡ ብዙኀ ፡ ሕማማ ፡ ለልብየ ፤ ናዝዞትከ ፡ አስተፈሥሓ ፡ ለነፍስየ ።

    O Yahweh, according to the multitude of the sorrows of my heart, your consolations have gladdened my soul.

20. Verse 20.፳

    ወኢይትቃወመከ ፡ መንበረ ፡ ዐመፃ ፤ ዘይፈጥር ፡ ጻማ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ትእዛዝ ።

    Let not the throne of iniquity stand against you, which fashions toil by a decree.

21. Verse 21.፳፩

    ወይንዕውዋ ፡ ለነፍሰ ፡ ጻድቅ ፤ ወይኴንኑ ፡ ደመ ፡ ንጹሕ ።

    They hunt down the soul of the righteous, and they condemn innocent blood.

22. Verse 22.፳፪

    ወኮነኒ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ጸወንየ ፤ አምላኪየ ፡ ወረድኤተ ፡ ተስፋየ ።

    But Yahweh has become my refuge, my God and the helper of my hope.

23. Verse 23.፳፫

    ወይፈድዮሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በከመ ፡ እከዮሙ ፤ ወያጠፍኦሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክነ ።

    And Yahweh will repay them according to their wickedness, and Yahweh our God will destroy them.
