መዝሙር ፺

1. Verse 1.፩

   ስብሐት ፡ ማኅሌት ፡ ዘዳዊት ። ዘየኀድር ፡ በረድኤተ ፡ ልዑል ፤ ወይነብር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ጽላሎቱ ፡ ለአምላከ ፡ ሰማይ ።

   A song of praise, of David. He who dwells in the help of the Most High, and abides in the shadow of the God of heaven,

2. Verse 2.፪

   ይብሎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ምስካይየ ፡ ወጸወንየ ፡ አንተ ፤ አምላኪየ ፡ ወረዳእየ ፡ ወእትዌከል ፡ ቦቱ ።

   he says to Yahweh: My refuge and my fortress are you; my God and my helper, and I will trust in him.

3. Verse 3.፫

   እስመ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ይባልሐኒ ፡ እመሥገርት ፡ ነዓዊት ፤ ወእምነገር ፡ መደንግፅ ።

   For he it is who will deliver me from the snare of the hunters, and from troubling speech.

4. Verse 4.፬

   ይጼልለከ ፡ በገበዋቲሁ ፡ ወትትዌከል ፡ በታሕተ ፡ ክነፊሁ ፤ ጽድቅ ፡ በወልታ ፡ የዐውደከ ።

   He will overshadow you with his shoulders, and you will trust under his wings; righteousness with a shield shall surround you.

5. Verse 5.፭

   ወኢትፈርህ ፡ እምግርማ ፡ ሌሊት ፤ እምሐጽ ፡ ዘይሠርር ፡ በመዐልት ።

   And you shall not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day,

6. Verse 6.፮

   እምግብር ፡ ዘየሐውር ፡ በጽልመት ፤ እምጽድቅ ፡ ወእምጋኔነ ፡ ቀትር ።

   nor the deed that walks in darkness, nor mishap, nor the demon of noonday.

7. Verse 7.፯

   ይወድቁ ፡ በገቦከ ፡ ዐሠርቱ ፡ ምእት ፡ ወኣእላፍ ፡ በየማንከ ፤ ወኀቤከሰ ፡ ኢይቀርቡ ።

   A thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but to you they shall not come near.

8. Verse 8.፰

   ወባሕቱ ፡ ትሬኢ ፡ በኣዕይንቲከ ፤ ወትሬኢ ፡ ፍዳሆሙ ፡ ለኃጥኣን ።

   Yet you shall behold with your eyes, and you shall see the recompense of sinners.

9. Verse 9.፱

   እስመ ፡ አንተ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ተስፋየ ፤ ልዑል ፡ ረሰይከ ፡ ጸወነከ ።

   For you, O Yahweh, are my hope; you have made the Most High your refuge.

10. Verse 10.፲

    ኢይቀርብ ፡ እኩይ ፡ ኀቤከ ፤ ወኢይበውእ ፡ መቅሠፍት ፡ ቤተከ ።

    No evil shall come near you, nor shall any plague enter your house.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    እስመ ፡ ለመላእክቲሁ ፡ ይኤዝዞሙ ፡ በእንቲአከ ፤ ከመ ፡ ይዕቀቡከ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ፍናዊከ ።

    For he will command his angels concerning you, that they keep you in all your ways.

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    ወበእደው ፡ ያነሥኡከ ፤ ከመ ፡ ኢትትዐቀፍ ፡ በእብን ፡ እግረከ ።

    And in their hands they will lift you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.

13. Verse 13.፲፫

    ላዕለ ፡ ተኵላ ፡ ወከይሲ ፡ ትጼዐን ፤ ወትከይድ ፡ አንበሳ ፡ ወከይሴ ።

    Upon the wolf and the serpent you shall ride, and you shall tread upon the lion and the serpent.

14. Verse 14.፲፬

    እስመ ፡ ብየ ፡ ተወከለ ፡ ወኣድኅኖ ፤ ወእከድኖ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኣእመረ ፡ ስምየ ።

    Because he trusted in me, I will also deliver him; I will shelter him, because he has known my name.

15. Verse 15.፲፭

    ይጼውዐኒ ፡ ወእሰጠዎ ፡ ሀሎኩ ፡ ምስሌሁ ፡ አመ ፡ ምንዳቤሁ ፤ ኣድኅኖ ፡ ወእሰብሖ ።

    He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I am with him in the day of his affliction; I will deliver him and I will glorify him.

16. Verse 16.፲፮

    ለነዋኅ ፡ መዋዕል ፡ ኣጸግቦ ፤ ወኣርእዮ ፡ አድኅኖትየ ።

    With length of days I will satisfy him, and I will show him my salvation.
