መዝሙር ፱

1. Verse 1.፩

   ፍጻሜ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ኅቡኣተ ፡ ወልድ ፤ መዝሙር ፡ ዘዳዊት ።

   For the end, concerning the hidden things of the Son; a psalm of David.

2. Verse 2.፪

   እገኒ ፡ ለከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ልብየ ፤ ወእነግር ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ስብሓቲከ ።

   I will give thanks to you, O Yahweh, with my whole heart; and I will declare all your praises.

3. Verse 3.፫

   እትፌሣሕ ፡ ወእትሐሠይ ፡ ብከ ፤ ወእዜምር ፡ ለስምከ ፡ ልዑል ።

   I will be glad and rejoice in you; and I will sing to your name, O Most High.

4. Verse 4.፬

   ሶበ ፡ ገብኡ ፡ ጸላእትየ ፡ ድኅሬሆሙ ፤ ይድወዩ ፡ ወይትሐጐሉ ፡ እምቅድመ ፡ ገጽከ ።

   When my enemies are turned back, they shall be made weak and perish from before your presence.

5. Verse 5.፭

   እስመ ፡ ገበርከ ፡ ሊተ ፡ ፍትሕየ ፡ ወበቀልየ ፤ ወነበርከ ፡ ዲበ ፡ መንበርከ ፡ መኰንነ ፡ ጽድቅ ።

   For you have executed my judgement and my cause; you have sat upon your throne, a righteous judge.

6. Verse 6.፮

   ገሠጽኮሙ ፡ ለአሕዛብ ፡ ወተሐጕሉ ፡ ረሲዓን ፤ ወደምሰስከ ፡ ስሞሙ ፡ ለዓለመ ፡ ዓለም ።

   You have rebuked the nations, and the ungodly have perished; and you have blotted out their name for ever and ever.

7. Verse 7.፯

   ፀርሰ ፡ ተገምሩ ፡ በኲናት ፡ ለዝሉፍ ። ወአህጒሪሆሙኒ ፡ ነሠትከ ፤ ወትስዕር ፡ ዝክሮሙ ፡ ኅቡረ ።

   The enemy's swords have failed utterly; and you have destroyed their cities; you shall do away their memory together.

8. Verse 8.፰

   ወእግዚአብሔር ፡ ይነብር ፡ ለዓለም ፤ ወአስትዳለወ ፡ መንበሮ ፡ ለኰንኖ ።

   But Yahweh abides for ever; and he has prepared his throne for judgement.

9. Verse 9.፱

   ወውእቱ ፡ ይኴንና ፡ ለዓለም ፡ በጽድቅ ፤ ወይኴንኖሙ ፡ ለአሕዛብ ፡ በርትዕ ።

   And he shall judge the world in righteousness; and he shall judge the peoples in uprightness.

10. Verse 10.፲

    ወኮኖሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ምስካዮሙ ፡ ለነዳያን ፤ ወረዳኢሆሙ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ በጊዜ ፡ ምንዳቤሆሙ ።

    And Yahweh has become a refuge for the poor; he is their helper in the time of their distress.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    ወይትዌከሉ ፡ ብከ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ያፈቅሩ ፡ ስመከ ፤ እስመ ፡ ኢተኀድጎሙ ፡ ለእለ ፡ የኀሡከ ፡ እግዚኦ ።

    And all who love your name shall trust in you; for you have not forsaken those who seek you, O Yahweh.

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    ዘምሩ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘየኀድር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ጽዮን ፤ ወንግርዎሙ ፡ ለአሕዛብ ፡ ምግባሮ ።

    Sing to Yahweh, who dwells in Zion; and declare his deeds among the peoples.

13. Verse 13.፲፫

    እስመ ፡ ተዘክረ ፡ ዘይትኃሠሥ ፡ ደሞሙ ፤ ወኢረስዐ ፡ ዐውያቶሙ ፡ ለነዳያን ።

    For he who requires their blood has remembered them; he has not forgotten the cry of the poor.

14. Verse 14.፲፬

    ተሣሀለኒ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ወርኢ ፡ ዘከመ ፡ ያሐሙኒ ፡ ጸላእትየ ፤

    Have mercy on me, O Yahweh, and see how my enemies afflict me;

15. Verse 15.፲፭

    ዘያሌዕለኒ ፡ እምአናቅጸ ፡ ሞት ። ከመ ፡ እንግር ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ስብሓቲከ ፤ በአናቅጺሃ ፡ ለወለተ ፡ ጽዮን ፤

    you who lift me up from the gates of death, that I may declare all your praises in the gates of the daughter of Zion;

16. Verse 16.፲፮

    ወንትፌሣሕ ፡ በአድኅኖትከ ። ጠግዑ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ በጌጋዮሙ ፡ ዘገብሩ ፤ ወበይእቲ ፡ መሥገርት ፡ እንተ ፡ ኀብኡ ፡ ተሠግረ ፡ እግሮሙ ።

    and we will rejoice in your salvation. The nations are sunk down in the corruption which they made; in the very snare which they hid, their foot has been caught.

17. Verse 17.፲፯

    ያአምር ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ገቢረ ፡ ፍትሕ ፤ ወበግብረ ፡ እደዊሁ ፡ ተሠግረ ፡ ኃጥእ ።

    Yahweh is known by the executing of judgement; in the works of his own hands the sinner has been ensnared.

18. Verse 18.፲፰

    ያግብኡ ፡ ኃጥኣን ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሲኦል ፤ ወኵሎሙ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ እለ ፡ ይረስዕዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ።

    Let the wicked be turned into Sheol; and all the nations that forget Yahweh.

19. Verse 19.፲፱

    እስመ ፡ አኮ ፡ ለዝሉፉ ፡ ዘይትረሳዕ ፡ ነዳይ ፤ ወኢያሕጕሉ ፡ ትዕግሥቶሙ ፡ ነዳያን ፡ ለዓለም ።

    For the poor shall not be forgotten for ever; and the patience of the poor shall not perish for ever.

20. Verse 20.፳

    ተንሥእ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ወኢይጽናዕ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እምሕያው ፤ ወይትኴነኑ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ በቅድሜከ ።

    Arise, O Yahweh, and let not the son of man prevail; let the nations be judged before you.

21. Verse 21.፳፩

    ሢም ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ መምህረ ፡ ሕግ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፤ ወያእምሩ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ከመ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ፡ እሙንቱ ።

    Set, O Yahweh, a teacher of the law over them; and let the nations know that they are but the sons of men.

22. Verse 22.፳፪

    ለምንት ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ቆምከ ፡ እምርሑቅ ፤ ወትትዔወር ፡ በጊዜ ፡ ምንዳቤ ።

    Why, O Yahweh, do you stand far off, and overlook us in the time of distress?

23. Verse 23.፳፫

    በትዕቢቱ ፡ ለኃጥእ ፡ ይውዒ ፡ ነዳይ ፤ ወይሠገሩ ፡ በውዴቶሙ ፡ እንተ ፡ ሐለዩ ።

    In the pride of the wicked the poor is set ablaze; let them be taken in the devices which they have imagined.

24. Verse 24.፳፬

    እስመ ፡ ይትዌደስ ፡ ኃጥእ ፡ በፍትወተ ፡ ነፍሱ ፤ ወዐማፂኒ ፡ ይትባረክ ፡

    For the wicked man boasts in the desire of his soul; and the unjust one blesses himself,

25. Verse 25.፳፭

    ወሐኮ ፡ ኃጥእ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ። ወኢተኃሥሦ ፡ በከመ ፡ ብዝኀ ፡ መዐቱ ፤

    and the wicked has provoked Yahweh. He will not seek him out, according to the abundance of his wrath;

26. Verse 26.፳፮

    ወአልቦ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በቅድሜሁ ። ወርኩስ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ፍናዊሁ ፡ ወንሡት ፡ ኵነኔከ ፡ በቅድሜሁ ፤ ወይቀንዮሙ ፡ ለኵሎሙ ፡ ጸላእቱ ።

    Yahweh is not before him. His ways are defiled at all times; your judgements are removed from before him; and he domineers over all his enemies.

27. Verse 27.፳፯

    ወይብል ፡ በልቡ ፡ ኢይትሀወክ ፤ ለትውልደ ፡ ትውልድ ፡ ኢይረክበኒ ፡ እኩይ ።

    For he has said in his heart, “I shall not be moved; from generation to generation no evil shall befall me.”

28. Verse 28.፳፰

    ምሉእ ፡ አፉሁ ፡ መርገመ ፡ ወጽልሑተ ፤ ወታሕተ ፡ ልሳኑ ፡ ጻማ ፡ ወሕማም ።

    His mouth is full of cursing and bitterness; and under his tongue are trouble and pain.

29. Verse 29.፳፱

    ወይጸንሕ ፡ ወይንዑ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ብዑላን ፡ ከመ ፡ ይቅትሎ ፡ ለንጹሕ ፡ በጽሚት ፤

    He lies in wait and lurks with the rich, that he may slay the innocent in secret;

30. Verse 30.፴

    ወአዕይንቲሁኒ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ነዳይ ፡ ያስትሐይጻ ። ይጸንሕ ፡ ወይትኀባእ ፡ ከመ ፡ አንበሳ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ግብ ፡ ወይጸንሕ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይምስጦ ፡ ለነዳይ ፤ ወይመስጦ ፡ ለነዳይ ፡ ወይስሕቦ ፡

    and his eyes watch closely for the poor. He lies in wait and hides himself like a lion in his den; he lies in wait to seize the poor, and he seizes the poor and draws him to him;

31. Verse 31.፴፩

    ወያኀስሮ ፡ በመሥገርቱ ። ይትቀጻዕ ፡ ወይወድቅ ፡ ሶበ ፡ ቀነዮ ፡ ለነዳይ ።

    and he humbles him in his net. He bows himself and falls down, when he has overpowered the poor.

32. Verse 32.፴፪

    ወይብል ፡ በልቡ ፡ ይረስዐኒ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፤ ወሜጠ ፡ ገጾ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይርአይ ፡ ለግሙራ ።

    For he has said in his heart, “Yahweh has forgotten me; he has turned away his face, that he may never see.”

33. Verse 33.፴፫

    ተንሥእ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ አምላክየ ፡ ወትትሌዐል ፡ እዴከ ፤ ወኢትርስዖሙ ፡ ለነዳያን ።

    Arise, O Yahweh my God, and let your hand be lifted up; and do not forget the poor.

34. Verse 34.፴፬

    በእንተ ፡ ምንት ፡ አምዕዖ ፡ ኃጥእ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፤ እስመ ፡ ይብል ፡ በልቡ ፡ ኢይትኃሠሠኒ ።

    Wherefore has the wicked provoked Yahweh? For he has said in his heart, “He will not seek me out.”

35. Verse 35.፴፭

    ትሬኢኑ ፡ ከመ ፡ ለሊከ ፡ ትኔጽር ፡ ጻማ ፡ ወመዐተ ፤ ወከመ ፡ ትመጥዎ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እዴከ ፤ ላዕሌከኑ ፡ እንከ ፡ ተገድፈ ፡ ነዳይ ፤ ወአንተኑ ፡ ረዳኢሁ ፡ ለእጓለ ፡ ማውታ ።

    Yet you do see; for you yourself behold trouble and wrath, that you may take it into your hand. To you the poor is left; you are the helper of the orphan.

36. Verse 36.፴፮

    ቀጥቅጥ ፡ መዝራዕቶ ፡ ለኃጥእ ፡ ወለእኩይ ፤ ወትትኀሠሥ ፡ ኀጢአቱ ፡ በእንቲአሁ ፡ ወኢትትረከብ ።

    Crush the arm of the wicked and the evil one; and his sin shall be sought out because of him, and it shall not be found.

37. Verse 37.፴፯

    ይነግሥ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለዓለም ፡ ወለዓለመ ፡ ዓለም ፤ ወይትሐጕሉ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ እምድር ።

    Yahweh shall reign for ever, and for ever and ever; and the nations shall perish from his land.

38. Verse 38.፴፰

    ፍትወቶሙ ፡ ለነዳያን ፡ ሰምዐ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፤ ወሕሊና ፡ ልቦሙኒ ፡ አፅምአት ፡ እዝኑ ።

    Yahweh has heard the desire of the poor; his ear has hearkened to the inclination of their heart,

39. Verse 39.፴፱

    ፍትሑ ፡ ለነዳይ ፡ ወለእጓለ ፡ ማውታ ፤ ከመ ፡ ኢይድግሙ ፡ እንከ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እምሕያው ፡ አዕብዮ ፡ አፉሆሙ ፡ በዲበ ፡ ምድር ።

    to do justice for the poor and the orphan, that the man of earth may no more presume to magnify his mouth upon the earth.
