መዝሙር ፲

1. Verse 1.፩

   ፍጻሜ ፡ መዝሙር ፡ ዘዳዊት ። በእግዚአብሔር ፡ ተወከልኩ ፡ እፎ ፡ ትብልዋ ፡ ለነፍስየ ፤ ተዐይል ፡ ውስተ ፡ አድባር ፡ ከመ ፡ ዖፍ ።

   To the end. A psalm of David. In Yahweh I have trusted; how do you say to my soul, Flee to the mountains like a bird?

2. Verse 2.፪

   እስመ ፡ ናሁ ፡ ኃጥኣን ፡ ወሰቁ ፡ ቀስቶሙ ፡ ወአስተዳለው ፡ አሕጻቲሆሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምጕንጳቶሆሙ ፤ ከመ ፡ ይንድፍዎ ፡ ለርቱዕ ፡ ልብ ፡ በጽሚት ።

   For behold, the wicked have bent their bow and made ready their arrows in their quiver, that they may shoot in the dark at the upright of heart.

3. Verse 3.፫

   እስመ ፡ ናሁ ፡ ዘአንተ ፡ ሠራዕከ ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ ነሠቱ ፤ ወጻድቅሰ ፡ ምንተ ፡ ገብረ ።

   For behold, what you ordained, they have torn down; but the righteous one, what has he done?

4. Verse 4.፬

   እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ጽርሐ ፡ መቅድሱ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሰማይ ፡ መንብሩ ፤ ወአዕይንቲሁኒ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ነዳይ ፡ ይኔጽራ ፡ ወቀራንብቲሁኒ ፡ የሐቶ ፡ ለእጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ።

   Yahweh is in the temple of his sanctuary; Yahweh, his throne is in heaven; and his eyes look upon the poor, and his eyelids examine the children of men.

5. Verse 5.፭

   እግዚአብሔር ፡ የሐቶ ፡ ለጻድቅ ፡ ወለኃጥእ ፤ ወዘሰ ፡ አፍቀራ ፡ ለዐመፃ ፡ ጸልአ ፡ ነፍሶ ።

   Yahweh examines the righteous and the wicked; but the one who loves iniquity hates his own soul.

6. Verse 6.፮

   ይዘንም ፡ መሣግር ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ኃጥኣን ፤ እሳት ፡ ወተይ ፡ መንፈስ ፡ ዐውሎ ፡ መክፈልተ ፡ ጽዋዖሙ ።

   He will rain down snares upon the wicked; fire and brimstone and a stormy wind shall be the portion of their cup.

7. Verse 7.፯

   እስመ ፡ ጻድቅ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወጽድቀ ፡ አፍቀረ ፤ ወለርትዕሰ ፡ ትሬእዮ ፡ ገጹ ።

   For Yahweh is righteous and has loved righteousness; and his face beholds uprightness.
