መዝሙር ፹፯

1. Verse 1.፩

   ምኅሌት ፡ መዝሙር ፡ ዘደቂቀ ፡ ቆሬ ፡ ፍጻሜ ፡ ዘአመ ፡ መጽአ ፡ ዘበኣእምሮ ፡ ኤማን ፡ እስራኤላዊ ።

   A song, a psalm of the sons of Korah; for the end, of when [the affliction] came; according to the understanding of Heman the Israelite.

2. Verse 2.፪

   እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላከ ፡ መድኀኒትየ ፤ ዕለትየ ፡ ጸራኅኩ ፡ ኀቤከ ፡ ወሌሊትየኒ ፡ ቅድሜከ ።

   O Yahweh, God of my salvation, by day I have cried out to you, and by night also before you.

3. Verse 3.፫

   ለትባእ ፡ ጸሎትየ ፡ ቅድሜከ ፤ አፅምእ ፡ እዝነከ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ስእለትየ ።

   Let my prayer enter before you; incline your ear to my supplication.

4. Verse 4.፬

   እስመ ፡ ጸግበት ፡ ነፍስየ ፡ ሕማመ ፤ ወአልጸቀት ፡ ለሞት ፡ ሕይወትየ ።

   For my soul is filled with afflictions, and my life has drawn near to death.

5. Verse 5.፭

   ወተኈለቁ ፡ ምስለ ፡ እለ ፡ ይወርዱ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ዐዘቅት ፤ ወኮንኩ ፡ ከመ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ዘአልቦ ፡ ረዳኤ ። ግዑዘ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምዉታን ፤

   And I am counted with those who go down into the pit; and I have become like a man who has no helper, cast away among the dead;

6. Verse 6.፮

   ከመ ፡ ቅቱላን ፡ ወግዱፋን ፡ እለ ፡ ይሰክቡ ፡ ውስተ ፡ መቃብር ፡ እለ ፡ ኢዘከርኮሙ ፡ ለግሙራ ፤ እስመ ፡ እሙንቱሂ ፡ ርሕቁ ፡ እምእዴከ ።

   like the slain and the abandoned who lie in the grave, whom you have not remembered any more; for they too are removed far from your hand.

7. Verse 7.፯

   ወአንበሩኒ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ዐዘቅት ፡ ታሕተ ፤ ውስተ ፡ ጽልመት ፡ ወጽላሎተ ፡ ሞት ።

   And they have laid me in the pit below, in darkness and in the shadow of death.

8. Verse 8.፰

   ላዕሌየ ፡ ጸንዐ ፡ መዐትከ ፤ ወኵሎ ፡ መቅሠፍተከ ፡ አምጻእከ ፡ ላዕሌየ ።

   Upon me your wrath has pressed hard, and all your chastisements you have brought upon me.

9. Verse 9.፱

   አርሐቀ ፡ እምኔየ ፡ እለ ፡ ያአምሩኒ ፤ ወረሰይከኒ ፡ ርኩሰ ፡ በኀቤሆሙ ፡ አኀዙኒ ፡ ወአልብየ ፡ ሙፃአ ።

   You have removed far from me those who know me, and you have made me an abomination to them; they have seized me, and I have no escape.

10. Verse 10.፲

    አዕይንትየኒ ፡ ደክማ ፡ በተጽናስ ፤ ወጸራኅኩ ፡ ኀቤከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ አሚረ ፤ ኣንሥእ ፡ እደውየ ፡ ኀቤከ ።

    My eyes also have grown weak from affliction; and I have cried out to you, O Yahweh, all the day; I lift up my hands to you.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    ቦኑ ፡ ለምዉታን ፡ ትገብር ፡ መንክረከ ፤ ወዐቀብተ ፡ ሥራይኑ ፡ ያነሥኡ ።

    Will you work your wonders for the dead? Or shall the physicians raise them up?

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    ወይነግሩኒ ፡ እለ ፡ ውስተ ፡ መቃብር ፡ ሣህለከ ፤ ወጽድቀከኒ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሞትኑ ።

    And shall those in the grave declare your mercy, and your righteousness in death?

13. Verse 13.፲፫

    ወይትዐወቅኑ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ጽልመት ፡ መንክርከ ፤ ወርትዕከኒ ፡ በምድርኑ ፡ ተረስዐ ።

    And shall your wonders be made known in the darkness, and your righteousness in a land that is forgotten?

14. Verse 14.፲፬

    ወአነሂ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ኀቤከ ፡ ጸራኅኩ ፤ በጽባሕ ፡ ትብጻሕ ፡ ጸሎትየ ፡ ቅድሜከ ።

    But I, O Yahweh, to you have I cried; in the morning let my prayer come before you.

15. Verse 15.፲፭

    ለምንት ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ትገድፍ ፡ ጸሎትየ ፤ ወትመይጥ ፡ ገጸከ ፡ እምኔየ ።

    Why, O Yahweh, do you cast away my prayer, and turn your face from me?

16. Verse 16.፲፮

    ነዳይ ፡ አነ ፡ ወሰራሕኩ ፡ እምንእስየ ፤ ተልዒልየ ፡ ተተሐትኩ ፡ ወተመነንኩ ።

    I am poor, and I have labored from my youth; and after being lifted up, I am brought low and despised.

17. Verse 17.፲፯

    ላዕሌየ ፡ ኀለፈ ፡ መቅሠፍትከ ፤ ወግርማከ ፡ አደንገፀኒ ።

    Upon me your chastisement has passed, and your terrors have dismayed me.

18. Verse 18.፲፰

    ዐገቱኒ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ አሚረ ፡ ከመ ፡ ማይ ፤ ወአኀዙኒ ፡ ኅቡረ ።

    They surrounded me all the day like water, and seized me all together.

19. Verse 19.፲፱

    አርሐቀ ፡ እምኔየ ፡ አዕርክትየ ፡ ወቢጽየ ፤ ወአዝማድየ ፡ እምተጽናስየ ።

    You have removed far from me my friends and my companions, and my kinsmen because of my affliction.
