  1. Verse 1.

    ፍጻሜ ፡ ዘበእንተ ፡ እለ ፡ ተበዐዱ ፤ ስምዕ ፡ ዘአሳፍ ፡ መዝሙር ፡ ዘበእንተ ፡ አሶርዮን ።

    To the end, concerning those who shall be changed; a testimony of Asaph, a psalm concerning the Assyrian.

  2. Verse 2.

    ኖላዊሆሙ ፡ ለእስራኤል ፡ አፅምእ ፤ ዘይርዕዮሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ አባግዕ ፡ ለዮሴፍ ። ዘይነብር ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ኪሩቤል ፡ አስተርአየ ።

    O Shepherd of Israel, give ear, you who lead Joseph like sheep; you who sit upon the cherubim, appear.

  3. Verse 3.

    በቅድመ ፡ ኤፍሬም ፡ ወብንያም ፡ ወምናሴ ፡ አንሥእ ፡ ኀይለከ ፤ ወነዐ ፡ አድኅነነ ።

    Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up your power, and come to save us.

  4. Verse 4.

    አምላከ ፡ ኀያላን ፡ ሚጠነ ፤ አብርህ ፡ ገጸከ ፡ ላዕሌነ ፡ ወንድኀን ።

    O God of hosts, turn us again; make your face shine upon us, and we shall be saved.

  5. Verse 5.

    እግዚኦ ፡ አምላከ ፡ ኀያላን ፡ እስከ ፡ ማእዜኑ ፡ ትትመዓዕ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ጸሎተ ፡ ገብርከ ።

    O Yahweh, God of hosts, how long will you be angry at the prayer of your servant?

  6. Verse 6.

    ወትሴስየነ ፡ እክለ ፡ እንብዕነ ፤ ወታሰትየነ ፡ አንብዐነ ፡ በመስፈርት ።

    And you feed us with the bread of tears, and you give us tears to drink by measure.

  7. Verse 7.

    ወረሰይከነ ፡ ነገሩ ፡ ለጎርነ ፤ ወተሳለቁ ፡ ላዕሌነ ፡ ጸላእትነ ።

    You have made us a strife to our neighbors, and our enemies have mocked us.

  8. Verse 8.

    እግዚኦ ፡ አምላከ ፡ ኀያላን ፡ ሚጠነ ፤ አብርህ ፡ ገጸከ ፡ ላዕሌነ ፡ ወንድኀን ።

    O Yahweh, God of hosts, turn us again; make your face shine upon us, and we shall be saved.

  9. Verse 9.

    ዐጸደ ፡ ወይን ፡ አፍለስከ ፡ እምግብጽ ፤ ሰደድከ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ወተከልከ ፡ ኪያሃ ።

    You brought a vine out of Egypt; you drove out the nations and planted it.

  10. Verse 10.

    ወጼሕከ ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ ቅድሜሃ ፤ ወተከልከ፡ ሥረዊሃ ፡ ወመልአት ፡ ምድረ ።

    You cleared a way before it; and you planted its roots, and it filled the land.

  11. Verse 11.

    ወከደነ ፡ አድባረ ፡ ጽላሎታ ፤ ወአዕጹቂሃኒ ፡ ከመ ፡ አርዘ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።

    Its shadow covered the mountains, and its branches were like the cedars of Yahweh.

  12. Verse 12.

    ወሰፍሐ ፡ አዕጹቂሃ ፡ እስከ ፡ ባሕር ፤ ወእስከ ፡ አፍላግ ፡ ሠርፃ ።

    It spread out its branches as far as the sea, and its shoots as far as the rivers.

  13. Verse 13.

    ለምንት ፡ ትነሥት ፡ ፀቈና ፤ ወይበልዓ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ኀላፌ ፡ ፍኖት ።

    Why have you broken down its fence, so that all who pass along the way pluck it?

  14. Verse 14.

    ወአርኰሳ ፡ ሐራውያ ፡ ሐቅል ፤ ወተርዕያ ፡ እንስሳ ፡ ገዳም ።

    The boar of the field has defiled it, and the wild beast of the wilderness has fed on it.

  15. Verse 15.

    አምላከ ፡ ኀያላን ፡ ተመየጥሶ ፤ ሐውጽ ፡ እምሰማይ ፡ ወርኢ ፡ ወተሣሀላ ፡ ለዛ ፡ ዐጸደ ፡ ወይን ።

    O God of hosts, turn again; look down from heaven and behold, and visit this vine.

  16. Verse 16.

    ወአስተናሥኣ ፡ ወአጽንዓ ፡ ዘተከለት ፡ የማንከ ፤ በወልደ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ፡ ዘአጽናዕከ ፡ ለከ ።

    And restore it and strengthen it, the vine that your right hand has planted, by the son of man whom you have made strong for yourself.

  17. Verse 17.

    ለውዒት ፡ በእሳት ፡ ወምልኅት ፤ ወእምተግሣጸ ፡ ገጽከ ፡ ይትሐጐሉ ።

    It is burned with fire and cut down; and by the rebuke of your countenance they perish.

  18. Verse 18.

    ለይኩን ፡ እዴከ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ብእሴ ፡ የማንከ ፤ በወልደ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ፡ ዘአጽናዕከ ፡ ለከ ።

    Let your hand be upon the man of your right hand, upon the son of man whom you have made strong for yourself.

  19. Verse 19.

    ወኢንርሐቅ ፡ እምኔከ ፤ ኣሕይወነ ፡ ወንጼውዕ ፡ ስመከ ።

    And we will not depart from you; revive us, and we will call upon your name.

  20. Verse 20.

    እግዚኦ ፡ አምላከ ፡ ኀያላን ፡ ሚጠነ ፤ አብርህ ፡ ገጸከ ፡ ላዕሌነ ፡ ወንድኀን ።

    O Yahweh, God of hosts, turn us again; make your face shine upon us, and we shall be saved.
