መዝሙር ፸፰

1. Verse 1.፩

   መዝሙር ፡ ዘአሳፍ ። እግዚኦ ፡ ቦኡ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ርስትከ ፡ ወአርኰሱ ፡ ጽርሐ ፡ መቅደስከ ፤ ወረሰይዋ ፡ ለኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ከመ ፡ ልገተ ፡ ዐቃቤ ፡ ቀምሕ ።

   A psalm of Asaph. O Yahweh, the nations have come into your inheritance and defiled the temple of your sanctuary; and they have made Jerusalem like a hut of a keeper of fruit.

2. Verse 2.፪

   ወረሰዩ ፡ አብድንቲሆሙ ፡ ለአግብርቲከ ፡ መብልዖሙ ፡ ለአዕዋፈ ፡ ሰማይ ፤ ወሥጋሆሙኒ ፡ ለጻድቃኒከ ፡ ለአረዊተ ፡ ገዳም ።

   And they have made the dead bodies of your servants food for the birds of heaven, and the flesh of your righteous ones for the beasts of the wilderness.

3. Verse 3.፫

   ከዐዉ ፡ ደሞሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ማይ ፡ ዐውዳ ፡ ለኢየሩሳሌም ፤ ወኀጥኡ ፡ ዘይቀብሮሙ ።

   They have poured out their blood like water round about Jerusalem, and there was none to bury them.

4. Verse 4.፬

   ወኮነ ፡ ጽእለተ ፡ ለጎርነ ፤ ሣሕቀ ፡ ወስላቀ ፡ ለአድያሚነ ።

   And we have become a reproach to our neighbors, a derision and a mocking to those around us.

5. Verse 5.፭

   እስከ ፡ ማእዜኑ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ትትመዓዕ ፡ ለዝሉፉ ፤ ወይነድድ ፡ ከመ ፡ እሳት ፡ ቅንአትከ ።

   How long, O Yahweh? Will you be angry forever, and will your jealousy burn like fire?

6. Verse 6.፮

   ከዐው ፡ መዐተከ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ እለ ፡ ኢያአምሩከ ፤ ወላዕለ ፡ መንግሥት ፡ እንተ ፡ ኢጸውዐት ፡ ስመከ ።

   Pour out your wrath upon the nations that do not know you, and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon your name.

7. Verse 7.፯

   እስመ ፡ በልዕዎ ፡ ለያዕቆብ ፤ ወአማሰኑ ፡ ብሔሮ ።

   For they have devoured Jacob, and laid waste his land.

8. Verse 8.፰

   ኢትዝክር ፡ ለነ ፡ አበሳነ ፡ ዘትካት ፤ ፍጡነ ፡ ይርከበነ ፡ ሣህልከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፤ እስመ ፡ ተመንደብነ ፡ ፈድፋደ ።

   Do not remember against us our former iniquities; let your mercy speedily come to meet us, O Yahweh, for we are brought very low.

9. Verse 9.፱

   ርድአነ ፡ አምላክነ ፡ ወመድኀኒነ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ስብሐተ ፡ ስምከ ፤ እግዚኦ ፡ ባልሐነ ፡ ወስረይ ፡ ኀጢአተነ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ስምከ ።

   Help us, O God our Savior, for the glory of your name; O Yahweh, deliver us and forgive our sins for your name's sake.

10. Verse 10.፲

    ከመ ፡ ኢይበሉነ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ አይቴ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ አምላኮሙ ። ወይርአዩ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ በቅድመ ፡ አዕይንቲነ ፡ በቀለ ፡ ደሞሙ ፡ ለአግብርቲከ ፡ ዘተክዕወ ።

    Lest the nations say to us, Where is their God? And let the nations see, before our eyes, the avenging of the blood of your servants that has been shed.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    ይባእ ፡ ቅድሜከ ፡ ገዐሮሙ ፡ ለሙቁሓን ፤ ወበከመ ፡ ዕበየ ፡ መዝራዕትከ ፡ ተሣሀሎሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ ቅቱላን ።

    Let the groaning of the prisoners come before you; according to the greatness of your arm preserve the children of those appointed to die.

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    ፍድዮሙ ፡ ለጎርነ ፡ ምስብዒተ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሕፅኖሙ ፤ ትዕይርቶሙ ፡ ዘተዐየሩከ ፡ እግዚኦ ።

    Repay our neighbors sevenfold into their bosom the reproach with which they have reproached you, O Yahweh.

13. Verse 13.፲፫

    ወንሕነሰ ፡ ሕዝብከ ፡ ወአባግዐ ፡ መርዔትከ ፡ ንገኒ ፡ ለከ ፡ ለዓለም ። ወንነግር ፡ ስብሐቲከ ፡ ለትውልደ ፡ ትውልድ ።

    But we, your people and the sheep of your pasture, will give thanks to you forever; we will tell of your praise from generation to generation.
