መዝሙር ፷፯

1. Verse 1.፩

   ፍጻሜ ፡ ዘዳዊት ፡ መዝሙር ፡ ማኅሌት ።

   To the end. Of David. A psalm. A song.

2. Verse 2.፪

   ይትነሣእ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወይዘረዉ ፡ ፀሩ ፤ ወይጕየዩ ፡ ጸላእቱ ፡ እምቅድመ ፡ ገጹ ።

   Let Yahweh arise, and let his foes be scattered; and let those who hate him flee from before his face.

3. Verse 3.፫

   ከመ ፡ የኀልቅ ፡ ጢስ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ የኀልቁ ፤ ወከመ ፡ ይትመሰው ፡ ሰምዕ ፡ እምቅድመ ፡ ገጸ ፡ እሳት ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ይትሐጐሉ ፡ ኃጥኣን ፡ እምቅድመ ፡ ገጹ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ።

   As smoke vanishes, so let them vanish; and as wax melts before the face of fire, so let the wicked perish before the face of Yahweh.

4. Verse 4.፬

   ወጻድቃንሰ ፡ ይትፌሥሑ ፡ ወይትሐሠዩ ፡ በቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፤ ወይትፌሥሑ ፡ በሐሤት ።

   But the righteous shall be glad and rejoice before Yahweh; and they shall rejoice with gladness.

5. Verse 5.፭

   ሰብሕዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወዘምሩ ፡ ለስሙ ፤ ፍኖተ ፡ ግብሩ ፡ ለዘ ፡ ዐርገ ፡ እንተ ፡ ዐረብ ፤ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ስሙ ፡ ወተፈሥሑ ፡ በቅድሜሁ ። ወይደነግፁ ፡ እምቅድመ ፡ ገጹ ።

   Praise Yahweh and sing to his name; make a way for him who has ascended by the west; Yahweh is his name, and rejoice before him. And they shall be in awe before his face.

6. Verse 6.፮

   አብ ፡ ለእጓለ ፡ ማውታ ፡ ወመኰንኖን ፡ ለአቤራት ፤ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቤተ ፡ መቅደሱ ።

   Father of the orphans and judge of the widows; Yahweh is in his holy dwelling place.

7. Verse 7.፯

   እግዚአብሔር ፡ ያኀድሮሙ ፡ ለባሕታዊያን ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቤቱ ፡ ወያወፅኦሙ ፡ ለሙቁሓን ፡ በኀይሉ ፤ ከማሁ ፡ ለምሩራን ፡ እለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ መቃብር ።

   Yahweh causes the solitary to dwell in his house, and brings out the prisoners by his power; likewise the rebellious who dwell in the graves.

8. Verse 8.፰

   እግዚኦ ፡ አመሰ ፡ ወፃእከ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ሕዝብከ ፤ ወአመኒ ፡ እንተ ፡ ገዳም ፡ ኀለፍከ ።

   O Yahweh, when you went out before your people; and when you passed through the wilderness,

9. Verse 9.፱

   ምድርኒ ፡ አድለቅለቀት ፡ ወሰማይኒ ፡ አንጠብጠበ ፡ እምቅድመ ፡ ገጹ ፡ ለአምላከ ፡ ሲና ፤ እምቅድመ ፡ ገጹ ፡ ለአምላከ ፡ እስራኤል ።

   the earth quaked, and the heavens dropped down rain, before the face of the God of Sinai; before the face of the God of Israel.

10. Verse 10.፲

    ዝናመ ፡ ፈቃዱ ፡ ዘፈለጠ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለርስትከ ፤ እመኒ ፡ ደክመ ፡ አንተ ፡ ታጸንዖ ።

    A rain of his good pleasure, which Yahweh set apart for your inheritance; and when it was weak, you strengthened it.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    እንስሳከ ፡ የኀድር ፡ ውስቴቱ ፤ አስተዳሎከ ፡ ለነዳያን ፡ በኂሩትከ ፡ እግዚኦ ።

    Your living creatures dwell in it; in your goodness you prepared for the needy, O Yahweh.

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    እግዚአብሔር ፡ ይሁቦሙ ፡ ቃለ ፡ ለእለ ፡ ይዜንዉ ፡ ኀይለ ፡ ብዙኀ ።

    Yahweh will give a word to those who proclaim it with great power.

13. Verse 13.፲፫

    ንጉሠ ፡ ኀያለን ፡ ለፍቁሩ ፡ ለፍቁሩ ፡ ወለሥነ ፡ ቤትከ ፡ ተካፈልነ ፡ ምህርካ ።

    The king of the mighty is for his beloved, for his beloved; and for the beauty of your house we have shared the spoil.

14. Verse 14.፲፬

    እመኒ ፡ ቤትክሙ ፡ ማእከለ ፡ መዋርስት ፤ ክነፈ ፡ ርግብ ፡ በብሩር ፡ ዘግቡር ፡ ወገበዋቲሃኒ ፡ በኀመልማለ ፡ ወርቅ ።

    Though your dwelling be among the borders, the wings of a dove are overlaid with silver, and her pinions with the green-gold of gold.

15. Verse 15.፲፭

    አመ ፡ አዘዘ ፡ ሰማያዊ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ላዕሌሃ ፤ በረድ ፡ ይዘንም ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ሰልሞን ።

    When the heavenly King commanded over it, it shall snow with hail upon Salmon.

16. Verse 16.፲፮

    ደብረ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ደብር ፡ ጥሉል ፤ ደብር ፡ ርጉዕ ፡ ወደብረ ፡ ጥሉል ።

    The mountain of Yahweh is a fertile mountain; a mountain set firm, and a fertile mountain.

17. Verse 17.፲፯

    ለምንት ፡ ይትነሥኡ ፡ አድባር ፡ ርጉዓን ፤ ደብረ ፡ ዘሠምሮ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ይኀድር ፡ ውስቴቱ ፡ እስመ ፡ ይኀድሮ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለዝሉፉ ።

    Why do you, O firm-set mountains, rise up in envy? This is the mountain that Yahweh has chosen to dwell in, for Yahweh will dwell in it forever.

18. Verse 18.፲፰

    ሰረገላቲሁ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ምእልፊተ ፡ አእላፍ ፡ ፍሡሓን ፤ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውስቴቶሙ ፡ በሲና ፡ መቅደሱ ።

    The chariots of Yahweh are myriads upon myriads of thousands of the joyful; Yahweh is among them in Sinai, in his sanctuary.

19. Verse 19.፲፱

    ዐረገ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አርያም ፡ ፄዊወከ ፡ ፄዋ ፡ ወወሀብከ ፡ ጸጋከ ፡ ለእጓለ ፡ እምሕያው፤ እስመ ፡ ይክሕዱ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይኅድሩ ። እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክ ፡ ቡሩክ ።

    You ascended on high, you led captivity captive, and you gave your gifts to the children of men; for they refuse that he should dwell among them. Yahweh God is blessed.

20. Verse 20.፳

    ይትባረክ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በኵሉ ፡ መዋዕል ፤ ይረድአነ ፡ አምላክነ ፡ ወመድኀኒነ ።

    Blessed be Yahweh all the days; our God and our Savior shall help us.

21. Verse 21.፳፩

    አምላክነሰ ፡ አምላከ ፡ አድኅኖ ፤ ወፍናዊሁኒ ፡ ለሞት ፡ ዘእግዚአብሔር ፡ ውእቱ ።

    Our God is a God who saves; and the goings forth from death are Yahweh's.

22. Verse 22.፳፪

    ወባሕቱ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ይሰብር ፡ አርእስተ ፡ ጸላእቱ ፤ ወበከተማ ፡ ሥዕርቶሙ ፡ የሐውር ፡ ጌጋዮሙ ።

    But Yahweh shall break the heads of his enemies; and through the crown of their hair their transgression walks on.

23. Verse 23.፳፫

    ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወፂእየ ፡ እገብእ ፤ ወእትመየጥ ፡ እንተ ፡ ቀላየ ፡ ባሕር ።

    Yahweh said, I will bring back from going out; I will turn them back from the depths of the sea,

24. Verse 24.፳፬

    ከመ ፡ ይሠረያ ፡ እገሪከ ፡ በደም ፡ ልሳነ ፡ ከለባቲከ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ጸላእቱ ።

    so that your feet may be dipped in blood, and the tongue of your dogs against his enemies.

25. Verse 25.፳፭

    አስተርአየ ፡ ፍናዊከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፤ ፍናዊሁ ፡ ለአምላኪየ ፡ ለንጉሥ ፡ ዘውስተ ፡ መቅደስ ።

    Your goings forth have been seen, O Yahweh; the goings forth of my God, of the king who is in the sanctuary.

26. Verse 26.፳፮

    በጽሑ ፡ መላእክት ፡ ወቦሙ ፡ መዘምራነ ፤ ማእከለ ፡ ደናግል ፡ ዘባጥያተ ፡ ከበሮ ።

    The princes came forward, and with them the singers; in the midst of the maidens beating timbrels.

27. Verse 27.፳፯

    በማኅበር ፡ ባርክዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፤ ወለአማላክነ ፡ በአንቅዕተ ፡ እስራኤል ።

    In the assembly bless Yahweh; and our God, from the wellsprings of Israel.

28. Verse 28.፳፰

    ህየ ፡ ብንያም ፡ ወሬዛ ፡ በኀይሉ ፡ መላእክተ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ወመሳፍንቲሆሙ ፤ መላእክተ ፡ ዛብሉን ፡ መላእክተ ፡ ንፍታሌም ።

    There is Benjamin, the youth, in his might, the princes of Judah and their rulers; the princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali.

29. Verse 29.፳፱

    አዝዝ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ በኀይልከ ፤ ወአጽንዖ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ለዝንቱ ፡ ዘሠራዕከ ፡ ለነ ።

    Command, O Yahweh, by your power; and strengthen, O Yahweh, this which you have ordained for us.

30. Verse 30.፴

    ውስተ ፡ ጽርሕከ ፡ ዘኢየሩሳሌም ፤ ለከ ፡ ያምጽኡ ፡ ነገሥት ፡ አምኃ ።

    In your temple at Jerusalem; to you shall kings bring tribute.

31. Verse 31.፴፩

    ገሥጾሙ ፡ ለአራዊተ ፡ ሕለት ፡ ማኅበረ ፡ አልህምት ፡ ውስተ ፡ እጓላተ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይትዐጸዉ ፡ እለ ፡ ፍቱናን ፡ ከመ ፡ ብሩር ፤ ዝርዎሙ ፡ ለአሕዛብ ፡ እለ ፡ ይፈቅዱ ፡ ቀትለ ።

    Rebuke the beasts of the reed, the herd of bulls among the calves of the peoples, so that those tested like silver may not be shut out; scatter the nations who desire war.

32. Verse 32.፴፪

    ይመጽኡ ፡ ተናብልት ፡ እምግብጽ ፤ ኢትዮጵያ ፡ ታበጽሕ ፡ እደዊሃ ፡ ኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።

    Ambassadors shall come from Egypt; Ethiopia shall stretch out her hands to Yahweh.

33. Verse 33.፴፫

    ነገሥተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ሰብሕዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፤ ወዘምሩ ፡ ለአምላክነ ።

    Kings of the earth, praise Yahweh; and sing to our God.

34. Verse 34.፴፬

    ዘምሩ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘዐርገ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሰማይ ፤ ሰማይ ፡ ዘመንገለ ፡ ጽባሕ ፤ ናሁ ፡ ይሁብ ፡ ቃሎ ፡ ቃለ ፡ ኀይል ። ሀቡ ፡ አኰቴተ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡

    Sing to Yahweh, who has ascended into heaven; the heaven that is toward the east; behold, he gives his voice, a voice of power. Give thanksgiving to Yahweh;

35. Verse 35.፴፭

    ላዕለ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ዐቢይ ፡ ስብሐቲሁ ፤ ወኀይሉሂ ፡ እስከ ፡ ደመናት ።

    great is his glory over Israel; and his power reaches to the clouds.

36. Verse 36.፴፮

    መንክር ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በላዕለ ፡ ቅዱሳኒሁ ። አምላከ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ይሁብ ፡ ኀይለ ፡ ወጽንዐ ፡ ለሕዝቡ ፤ ወይትባረክ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።

    Wonderful is Yahweh over his saints. The God of Israel, he it is who gives power and strength to his people; and blessed be Yahweh.
