መዝሙር ፷፩

1. Verse 1.፩

   ፍጻሜ ፡ ዝበእንተ ፡ ኢዶቱም ፡ መዝሙር ፡ ዘዳዊት ።

   To the end; concerning Idithun. A psalm of David.

2. Verse 2.፪

   አኮኑ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ትገኒ ፡ ነፍስየ ፤ እስመ ፡ ኀቤሁ ፡ መድኀነትየ ።

   Shall not my soul be subject to Yahweh? For from him is my salvation.

3. Verse 3.፫

   እስመ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ አምላኪየ ፡ ወመድኀኒየ ፤ ወውእቱ ፡ ርዳእየ ፡ ወኢይትሀወክ ፡ ለዝሉፉ ።

   For he is my God and my Savior; and he is my helper, and I shall not be shaken forever.

4. Verse 4.፬

   እስከ ፡ ማእዜኑ ፡ ትቀውሙ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ወትቀትልዎ ፡ ኵልክሙ ፤ ከመ ፡ አረፍት ፡ ጽንንት ፡ ወከመ ፡ ጥቅም ፡ ንሑል ።

   How long will you assail a man and slay him, all of you, as though he were a leaning wall and a tottering fence?

5. Verse 5.፭

   ወባሕቱ ፡ መከሩ ፡ ይስዐሩ ፡ ክብርየ ፡ ወሮጽኩ ፡ በጽምእየ ፤ በአፉሆሙ ፡ ይድሕሩ ፡ ወበልቦሙ ፡ ይረግሙ ።

   Yet they took counsel to cast down my honor; I ran in my thirst. With their mouth they bless, but in their heart they curse.

6. Verse 6.፮

   ወባሕቱ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ትገኒ ፡ ነፍስየ ፤ እስመ ፡ ኀቤሁ ፡ ተስፋየ ።

   Yet, O my soul, be subject to Yahweh; for from him is my hope.

7. Verse 7.፯

   እስመ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ አምላኪየ ፡ ወመድኀኒየ ፤ ወርዳእየ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ኢይትሀወክ ።

   For he is my God and my Savior; and he is my helper, I shall not be shaken.

8. Verse 8.፰

   በእግዚአብሔር ፡ መድኀነትየ ፡ ወበእግዚአብሔር ፡ ክብርየ ፤ አምላከ ፡ ረድኤትየ ፡ ወተስፋየ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።

   In Yahweh is my salvation, and in Yahweh is my glory; the God of my help and my hope is Yahweh.

9. Verse 9.፱

   ተወከሉ ፡ ቦቱ ፡ ኵልክሙ ፡ ማኅበሩ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ወከዐዉ ፡ ልበክሙ ፡ ቅድሜሁ ፤ ወእግዚአብሔር ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ርዳኢነ ።

   Trust in him, all you assembly of the peoples, and pour out your heart before him; and Yahweh is our helper.

10. Verse 10.፲

    ወባሕቱ ፡ ከንቱ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እመሕያው፡ ሐሳውያን ፡ ደቂቀ ፡እጓለ ፡ እመሕያው፡ ወይዔምፁ ፡ መዳልወ ፤ እሙንቱሰ ፡ እምከንቱ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ከንቱ ፡ ክመ ።

    Yet vain are all the sons of the children of men; the sons of the children of men are liars, and they tip the scales; they themselves are altogether from vanity into vanity.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    ከመ ፡ ኢትሰፈዉዋ ፡ ለዓመፃ ። ወኢትትአመንዎ ፡ ለሀይድ ፤ ብዕል ፡ ለእመ ፡ በዝኀ ፡ ኢታዕብዮ ፡ ልበክሙ ።

    Do not set your hope on iniquity, and do not put your trust in plunder; if riches increase, do not let your heart be lifted up by them.

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    ምዕረ ፡ ነበበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወዘንተ ፡ ከመ ፡ ሰማዕኩ ፤

    Once has Yahweh spoken, and this is what I heard:

13. Verse 13.፲፫

    እስመ ፡ ዘእግዚአብሔር ፡ ሣህል ። ወዚአከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ኀይል ፤ እስመ ፡ አንተ ፡ ትፈድዮ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ በከመ ፡ ምግባሩ ።

    that mercy is Yahweh's; and yours, O Yahweh, is power; for you repay each one according to his deeds.
