መዝሙር ፮

1. Verse 1.፩

   ፍጹሜ ፡ ዘስብሐት ፡ በእንተ ፡ ሳምንት ፤ መዝሙር ፡ ዘዳዊት ።

   For the end, in songs of praise, concerning the eighth; a psalm of David.

2. Verse 2.፪

   እግዚኦ ፡ በመዐትከ ፡ ኢትቅሥፈኒ ፤ ወበመቅሠፍትከ ፡ ኢትገሥጸኒ ።

   O Yahweh, do not rebuke me in your anger, nor chasten me in your wrath.

3. Verse 3.፫

   ትሣሀለኒ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ እስመ ፡ ድውይ ፡ አነ ፤ ወፈውሰኒ ፡ እስመ ፡ ተሀውከ ፡ አዕጽምትየ ።

   Have mercy on me, O Yahweh, for I am weak; and heal me, for my bones are troubled.

4. Verse 4.፬

   ወነፍስየኒ ፡ ተሀውከት ፡ ፈድፋደ ፤ ወአንተኒ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ እስከ ፡ ማእዜኑ ።

   And my soul also is greatly troubled; and you, O Yahweh, how long?

5. Verse 5.፭

   ተመየጥ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ወባልሓ ፡ ለነፍስየ ፤ ወአድኅነኒ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ምሕረትከ ።

   Return, O Yahweh, and deliver my soul; and save me for the sake of your mercy.

6. Verse 6.፮

   እስመ ፡ አልቦ ፡ በውስተ ፡ ሞት ፡ ዘይዘከረከ ፤ ወበሲኦልኒ ፡ መኑ ፡ የአምነከ ።

   For in death there is none who remembers you; and in Sheol who shall confess to you?

7. Verse 7.፯

   ሰራሕኩ ፡ በምንዳቤየ ፡ ወአኀፅብ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ሌሊተ ፡ ዐራትየ ፤ ወበአንብዕየ ፡ አርሐስኩ ፡ ምስካብየ ።

   I have toiled in my distress, and every night I wash my bed; with my tears I drench my couch.

8. Verse 8.፰

   ወተሀውከት ፡ እመዐት ፡ ዐይንየ ፤ ወበለይኩ ፡ በኀበ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ ጸላእትየ ።

   My eye is troubled because of wrath; I have grown old among all my enemies.

9. Verse 9.፱

   ረሐቁ ፡ እምኔየ ፡ ኵልክሙ ፡ ገበርተ ፡ ዐመፃ ፤ እስመ ፡ ሰምዐኒ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ቃለ ፡ ብካይየ ።

   Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity; for Yahweh has heard the voice of my weeping.

10. Verse 10.፲

    ወሰምዐኒ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ስእለትየ ፤ ወተወክፈ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ጸሎትየ ።

    And Yahweh has heard my supplication; and Yahweh has received my prayer.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    ለይትኀፈሩ ፡ ወይኅሰሩ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ ጸላእትየ ፤ ለይገብኡ ፡ ድኅሬሆሙ ፡ ወይትኀፈሩ ፡ ፈድፋደ ፡ ወፍጡነ ።

    Let all my enemies be ashamed and confounded; let them be turned back, and be ashamed exceedingly and suddenly.
