መዝሙር ፶፮

1. Verse 1.፩

   ፍጻሜ ፡ ኢታማስን ፡ ዘዳዊት ፡ አርአያ ፡ መጽሐፍ ፤ ዘአመ ፡ ጐየ ፡ እምቅድመ ፡ ገጸ ፡ ሳኦል ፡ ውስተ ፡ በአት ።

   To the end. Do not destroy. Of David, as a memorial inscription; when he fled from before the face of Saul into the cave.

2. Verse 2.፪

   ተሣሀለኒ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ተሣሀለኒ ። እስመ ፡ ኪያከ ፡ ተወከለት ፡ ነፍስየ ፤ ወተወከልኩ ፡ በጽላሎተ ፡ ክንፊከ ፤ እስከ ፡ ተኀልፍ ፡ ኀጢአት ።

   Have mercy on me, O Yahweh, have mercy on me. For my soul has trusted in you; and I will trust in the shadow of your wings, until the iniquity passes by.

3. Verse 3.፫

   እጸርኅ ፡ ኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ልዑል ፤ ኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘረድአኒ ።

   I will cry out to Yahweh the Most High, to Yahweh who has helped me.

4. Verse 4.፬

   ፈነወ ፡ እምሰማይ ፡ ወአድኀነኒ ፡ ወወሀቦሙ ፡ ኀሳረ ፡ ለእለ ፡ ኬዱኒ ፤ ገነወ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ሣህሎ ፡ ወጽድቆ ።

   He has sent from heaven and saved me, and he has given shame to those who trod me down; Yahweh has sent forth his mercy and his righteousness.

5. Verse 5.፭

   ወአድኀና ፡ ለነፍስየ ፡ እምእከለ ፡ አናብስት ፡ ወኖምኩ ፡ ድንጉፅየ ፤ ደቂቀ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እምሕያው ፡ ስነኒሆሙ ፡ ሐጽ ፡ ወኲናት ፡ ወልሳኖሙኒ ፡ በሊኅ ፡ መጥባሕት ።

   And he has delivered my soul from the midst of lions, and I slept in dismay; the children of the sons of men, their teeth are arrows and spears, and their tongue is a sharp sword.

6. Verse 6.፮

   ተለዐለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ መልዕልተ ፡ ሰማያት ፤ ወበኵሉ ፡ ምድር ፡ ስብሐቲሁ ።

   Be exalted, O Yahweh, above the heavens; and your glory over all the earth.

7. Verse 7.፯

   መሥገርተ ፡ አስተዳለዉ ፡ ለእገርየ ፡ ወቀጽዕዋ ፡ ለነፍስየ ፤ ከሩዩ ፡ ግበ ፡ ቅድሜየ ፡ ወወድቁ ፡ ውስቴቱ ።

   They have prepared a snare for my feet, and they have bowed down my soul; they have dug a pit before me, and they have fallen into it.

8. Verse 8.፰

   ጥቡዕ ፡ ልብየ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ጥቡዕ ፡ ልብየ ፤ እሴብሕ ፡ ወእዜምር ።

   My heart is fixed, O Yahweh, my heart is fixed; I will sing praise and make melody.

9. Verse 9.፱

   ወይትንሣእ ፡ ክብርየ ፤ ወይትንሣእ ፡ በመዝሙር ፡ ወበመሰንቆ ፤ ወእትንሣእ ፡ በጽባሕ ።

   And my glory shall arise; it shall arise with the psalm and with the harp; and I will arise at dawn.

10. Verse 10.፲

    እገኒ ፡ ለከ ፡ በውስተ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ እግዚኦ ፤ ወእዜምር ፡ ለከ ፡ በውስተ ፡ ሕዝብ ።

    I will confess you among the peoples, O Yahweh; and I will sing praise to you among the nations.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    እስመ ፡ ዐብየት ፡ እስከ ፡ ሰማያት ፡ ምሕረትከ ፤ ወእስከ ፡ ደመናት ፡ ጽድቅከ ።

    For your mercy is great, reaching to the heavens; and your righteousness to the clouds.

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    ተለዐለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ መልዕልተ ፡ ሰማያት ፤ ወበኵሉ ፡ ምድር ፡ ስብሓቲሁ ።

    Be exalted, O Yahweh, above the heavens; and your glory over all the earth.
