መዝሙር ፶፭

1. Verse 1.፩

   ፍጻሜ ፡ ዘበእንተ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ እለ ፡ እምቅዱሳን ፡ ርሕቁ ፡ ዘዳዊት ፡ አርአያ ፡ መጽሐፍ ፤ ዘአመ ፡ አኀዝዎ ፡ ኢሎፍሊ ፡ በጌት ።

   To the end. Concerning the people who were removed far from the holy ones. Of David, as a memorial inscription; when the Philistines seized him in Gath.

2. Verse 2.፪

   ተሣሀለኒ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኬደኒ ፡ ሰብእ ፤ ወኵሎ ፡ አሚረ ፡ አስርሐኒ ፡ ቀትል ።

   Have mercy on me, O Yahweh, for man has trodden me down; all the day long warfare has afflicted me.

3. Verse 3.፫

   ወኬዱኒ ፡ ፀርየ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ አሚረ ፡ በኑኀ ፡ ዕለት ፤ እስመ ፡ ብዙኃን ፡ እለ ፡ ፀብኡኒ ፡ ወፈራህኩ ።

   And my foes have trodden me down all the day long, the length of the day; for many are those who fight against me, and I was afraid.

4. Verse 4.፬

   ወአንሰ ፡ ኪያከ ፡ ተወከልኩ ፡ እግዚኦ ።

   But as for me, in you have I trusted, O Yahweh.

5. Verse 5.፭

   በእግዚአብሔር ፡ እሴብሕ ፡ ቃልየ ፤ ወበእግዚአብሔር ፡ ተወከልኩ ፡ ኢይፈርህ ፤ ምንተ ፡ ይሬስየኒ ፡ ዘሥጋ ።

   In Yahweh I will praise my word; and in Yahweh I have trusted, I will not fear; what can flesh do to me?

6. Verse 6.፮

   ወኵሎ ፡ አሚረ ፡ ያስቆርሩኒ ፡ ዘነበብኩ ። ወላዕሌየ ፡ ይመክሩ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ እኩየ ።

   And all the day long they made grievous to me that which I spoke. And against me they devise all evil.

7. Verse 7.፯

   ይጸንሑኒ ፡ ወይትኀብኡኒ ። ወእሙንቱሰ ፡ ሰኰናየ ፡ ያስተሓይጹኒ ፤ ወዘልፈ ፡ ይጸንሕዋ ፡ ለነፍስየ ።

   They lie in wait for me and hide themselves. And they watch my heels closely; and continually they wait for my soul.

8. Verse 8.፰

   ወኢታድኅኖሙ ፡ ወኢበምንትኒ ፤ ወታጸድፎሙ ፡ ለአሕዛብ ፡ በመዐትከ ።

   Yet you will not deliver them by any means; you will cast down the peoples in your wrath.

9. Verse 9.፱

   አምላኪየ ፡ እነግረከ ፡ ሕይወትየ ፤ ወአንበርኩ ፡ አንብዕየ ፡ ቅድሜከ ፡ በከመ ፡ አዘዝከ ።

   My God, I have declared to you my life; and I have set my tears before you, according as you have commanded.

10. Verse 10.፲

    ለይግብኡ ፡ ፀርየ ፡ ድኅሬሆሙ ፡ አመ ፡ ዕለተ ፡ እጼውዐከ ፤ ናሁ ፡ ኣእመርኩ ፡ ከመ ፡ አምላኪየ ፡ አንተ ።

    Let my foes turn back in the day when I call upon you; behold, I know that you are my God.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    በእግዚአብሔር ፡ እሴብሕ ፡ ቃልየ ፤ በእግዚአብሔር ፡ ይከብር ፡ ዘነበብኩ ።

    In Yahweh I will praise my word; in Yahweh that which I spoke is honored.

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    ወበእግዚአብሔር ፡ ተወከልኩ ፡ ኢይፈርህ ፤ ምንተ ፡ ይሬስየኒ ፡ ሰብእ ።

    And in Yahweh I have trusted, I will not fear; what can man do to me?

13. Verse 13.፲፫

    እምኀቤይ ፡ እሁብ ፡ ብፅአትየ ፡ ለስብሓቲከ ።

    From within me I will render my vows to your glory.

14. Verse 14.፲፬

    እስመ ፡ አድኀንካ ፡ እሞት ፡ ለነፍስየ ፡ ወለአዕይንትየኒ ፡ እምአንብዕ ፤ ወለእገርየኒ ፡ እምዳኅፅ ። ከመ ፡ ኣሥምሮ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ በብሔረ ፡ ሕያዋን ።

    For you have delivered my soul from death, and my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling; that I may please Yahweh in the land of the living.
