መዝሙር ፶፪

1. Verse 1.፩

   ፍጻሜ ፡ ዘአመ ፡ መጽአ ፡ ዘበኣእምሮ ፡ ዘዳዊት ።

   To the end. A psalm of instruction, of David,

2. Verse 2.፪

   ይብል ፡ አብድ ፡ በልቡ ፡ አልቦ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፤ ኀስሩ ፡ ወረኵሱ ፡ በጌጋዮሙ አልቦ ፡ ዘይገብራ ፡ ለሠናይት ።

   The fool has said in his heart, There is no Yahweh; they are corrupt and have become abominable in their transgressions; there is none who does good.

3. Verse 3.፫

   እግዚአብሔር ፡ ሐወጸ ፡ እምሰማይ ፡ ዲበ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እምሕያው ፤ ከመ ፡ ይርአይ ፡ እመቦ ፡ ጠቢበ ፤ ዘየኀሦ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ።

   Yahweh looked down from heaven upon the sons of mortal men, to see if there were any who understood, who sought after Yahweh.

4. Verse 4.፬

   ኵሉ ፡ ዐረየ ፡ ወኅቡረ ፡ ዐለወ ፤ አልቦ ፡ ዘይገብራ ፡ ለሠናይት ፤ አልቦ ፡ ወኢአሐዱ ።

   All have turned aside, together they have become depraved; there is none who does good, no, not even one.

5. Verse 5.፭

   ወኢያአምሩ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ ገበርተ ፡ ዐመፃ ፤ እለ ፡ ይውኅጥዎሙ ፡ ለሕዝብየ ፡ ከመ ፡ በሊዐ ፡ እክል ፤ ወለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ኢጸውዕዎ ።

   Have all the workers of iniquity no understanding, who devour my people as they would eat bread, and have not called upon Yahweh?

6. Verse 6.፮

   ወበህየ ፡ ፈርሁ ፡ ወገረሞሙ ፡ ዘኢኮነ ፡ ግሩመ ፤ እስመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘረወ ፡ አዕጽምቲሆሙ ፡ ለመዳልዋን ፡ ወተኀፍሩ ፡ እስመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አኅሰሮሙ ።

   There they were afraid, and terror seized them where there was no terror; for Yahweh has scattered the bones of those who please men; they were put to shame, for Yahweh has brought them to nothing.

7. Verse 7.፯

   መኑ ፡ ይሁብ ፡ እምጽዮን ፡ መድኀኒተ ፡ ልእስራኤል ፤ አመ ፡ ሜጠ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ፄዋ ፡ ሕዝቡ ፡ ይትፌሣሕ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ወይትሐሠይ ፡ እስራኤል ።

   Who shall grant out of Zion salvation for Israel? When Yahweh turns back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice and Israel shall be glad.
