መዝሙር ፵፯

1. Verse 1.፩

   ማኅሌት ፡ መዝሙር ፡ ዘደቂቀ ፡ ቆሬ ፡ በሳኒታ ፡ ሰንበት ።

   A song, a psalm of the sons of Korah, on the second day after the sabbath.

2. Verse 2.፪

   ዐቢይ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወብዙኅ ፡ አኰቴቱ ፤ በሀገረ ፡ አምላክነ ፡ በደብረ ፡ መቅደሱ ።

   Great is Yahweh, and great is his praise, in the city of our God, on his holy mountain.

3. Verse 3.፫

   ዘይዔዝዝ ፡ ትፍሥሕተ ፡ ለኰሉ ፡ ምድር ፤ አድባረ ፡ ጽዮን ፡ በገቦ ፡ መስዕ ፡ ሀገሩ ፡ ለንጉሥ ፡ ዐቢይ ።

   He who commands rejoicing for all the earth: the mountains of Zion, on the side of the north, the city of the great King.

4. Verse 4.፬

   እግዚአብሔር ፡ ያአምር ፡ ክበዲሃ ፡ ሶበ ፡ ተመጠውዋ ።

   Yahweh knows her heaviness when they take hold of her.

5. Verse 5.፭

   እስመ ፡ ናሁ ፡ ነገሥተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ተጋብኡ ፤ ወመጽኡ ፡ ኅቡረ ።

   For behold, the kings of the earth gathered together, and they came as one.

6. Verse 6.፮

   እሙንቱሰ ፡ ዝንተ ፡ ርእዮሙ ፡ አንከሩ ፤ ደንገፁ ፡ ወፈርሁ ።

   But they, when they saw this, were astonished; they were terrified and afraid.

7. Verse 7.፯

   ወአኀዞሙ ፡ ረዐድ ፡ ወሐሙ ፡ በህየ ፡ ከመ ፡ እንተ ፡ ትወልድ ።

   And trembling seized them, and they were in anguish there, like a woman who gives birth.

8. Verse 8.፰

   በነፋስ ፡ ኀያል ፡ ትቀጠቅጦን ፡ ለአሕማረ ፡ ተርሴስ ።

   With a mighty wind you shatter the ships of Tarshish.

9. Verse 9.፱

   በከመ ፡ ሰማዕነ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ርኢነ ፡ በሀገረ ፡ እግዚአ ፡ ኀያላን ፡ በሀገረ ፡ አምላክነ ፤ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ሳረራ ፡ ለዓለም ።

   As we have heard, so also we have seen, in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God; Yahweh has established her forever.

10. Verse 10.፲

    ተወከፍነ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ሣህለከ ፡ በማእከለ ፡ ሕዝብከ ።

    We have received your mercy, O Yahweh, in the midst of your people.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    ወበከመ ፡ ስምከ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ስብሐቲከ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ አጽናፈ ፡ ምድር ፤ ጽድቅ ፡ ምሉእ ፡ የማንከ ።

    And as is your name, so also is your praise to the ends of the earth; your right hand is full of righteousness.

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    ይትፌሥሓ ፡ አድባረ ፡ ጽዮን ፡ ወይትሐሠያ ፡ አዋልደ ፡ ይሁዳ ፤ በእንተ ፡ ፍትሕከ ፡ እግዚኦ ።

    Let the mountains of Zion rejoice, and let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of your judgments, O Yahweh.

13. Verse 13.፲፫

    ዕግትዋ ፡ ለጽዮን ፡ ወሕቀፍዋ ፤ ወተናገሩ ፡ በውስተ ፡ መኃፍዲሃ ።

    Surround Zion and embrace her; and tell of it among her towers.

14. Verse 14.፲፬

    ደዩ ፡ ልበክሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኀይላ ፤ ወትትካፈልዎ ፡ ለክበዲሃ ፤ ከመ ፡ ትንግሩ ፡ ለካልእ ፡ ትውልድ ።

    Set your hearts upon her strength, and divide her heaviness, that you may tell it to another generation.

15. Verse 15.፲፭

    ከመ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ አምላክነ ፡ ለዓለም ፡ ወለዓለመ ፡ ዓለም ፤ ወውእቱ ፡ ይሬዕየነ ፡ እስከ ፡ ለዓለም ።

    For this is our God forever and ever and ever; and he will shepherd us forever.
