- Verse 1.
ፍጻሜ ፡ በእንተ ፡ እለ ፡ ተበዐዱ ፡ ዘውሉደ ፡ ቆሬ ፤ መዝሙር ፡ ዘዳዊት ፡ ዘበኣእምሮ ።
To the end. Concerning those who shall be changed, of the sons of Korah; a psalm of David, of understanding.
- Verse 2.
ጐሥዐ ፡ ልብየ ፡ ቃለ ፡ ሠናየ ፡ አነ ፡ ኣየድዕ ፡ ግብርየ ፡ ለንጉሥ ፤ ከመ ፡ ቀለመ ፡ ጸሓፊ ፡ ዘጠበጠበ ፡ ይጽሕፍ ፡ ልሳንየ ።
My heart has poured forth a good word; I tell my works to the king; my tongue is like the pen of a swift scribe.
- Verse 3.
ይሤኒ ፡ ላሕዩ ፡ እምውሉደ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ፡ ተክዕወ ፡ ሞገስ ፡ እምከናፍሪከ ፤ በእንተዝ ፡ ባረከከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለዓለም ።
Fairer is his beauty than the children of those born of man; grace is poured out upon your lips; therefore Yahweh has blessed you forever.
- Verse 4.
ቅንት ፡ ሰይፈከ ፡ ኀይል ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሐቌከ ፤ በሥንከ ፡ ወበላሕይከ ።
Gird your sword upon your loins, O mighty one, in your splendor and your beauty.
- Verse 5.
አርትዕ ፡ ተሠራሕ ፡ ወንገሥ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ጽድቅ ፡ ወርትዕ ፡ ወየዋሃት ፤ ወይመርሐከ ፡ ስብሐተ ፡ የማንከ ።
Direct your course, prosper, and reign, for the sake of righteousness and equity and meekness; and your right hand shall guide you gloriously.
- Verse 6.
አሕጻከ ፡ ስሑል ፡ ኀያል ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ይወድቁ ፡ ታሕቴከ ፤ ውስተ ፡ ልቦሙ ፡ ለጸላእተ ፡ ንጉሥ ።
Your arrows are sharpened, O mighty one; the nations shall fall under you, in the heart of the king's enemies.
- Verse 7.
ወንበርከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ለዓለመ ፡ ዓለም ፤ በትረ ፡ ጽድቅ ፡ በትረ ፡ መንግሥትከ ።
And your throne, O Yahweh, [endures] forever and ever; a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your kingdom.
- Verse 8.
አፍቀርከ ፡ ጽድቀ ፡ ወዐመፃ ፡ ጸላእከ ፡ በእንተዝ ፡ ቀብአከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፤ ቅብአ ፡ ትፍሥሕት ፡ እምእለ ፡ ከማከ ።
You have loved righteousness and hated iniquity; therefore Yahweh your God has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.
- Verse 9.
ከርቤ ፡ ወቀንአተ ፡ ወሰሊኆት ፡ እምነ ፡ አልባሲከ ፤ እምክቡዳነ ፡ አቅርንት ፡ ዘእምኔሆሙ ፡ አስተፈሥሓከ ፡ አዋልደ ፡ ነገሥት ፡ ለክብርከ ፤
Myrrh and cassia and aloes are upon your garments; out of the honored ivory palaces, whereby the daughters of kings have gladdened you for your glory;
- Verse 10.
ወትቀውም ፡ ንግሥት ፡ በየማንከ ፡ በአልባሰ ፡ ወርቅ ፡ ዑጽፍት ፡ ወሑብርት ።
And the queen stands at your right hand in raiment of gold, wrapped about and embroidered.
- Verse 11.
ስምዒ ፡ ወለትየ ፡ ወርእዪ ፡ ወአፅምዒ ፡ እዝነኪ ፤ ወርስዒ ፡ ሕዝበኪ ፡ ወቤተ ፡ አቡኪ ።
Hear, O my daughter, and see, and incline your ear; and forget your people and your father's house.
- Verse 12.
እስመ ፡ ፈተወ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ሥነኪ ፤ እስመ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እግዚእኪ ።
For the king has desired your beauty; for he is your lord.
- Verse 13.
ወይሰግዳ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ አዋልደ ፡ ጠሮስ ፡ በአምኃ ፡ ወለገጽኪ ፡ ይትመሀለሉ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ብዑላነ ፡ ምድር ።
And the daughters of Tyre shall bow down to him with a gift; and toward your face the rich of the earth among all the peoples shall make entreaty.
- Verse 14.
ኵሉ ፡ ክብራ ፡ ለወለተ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ሐሴቦን ፤ በዘአዝፋረ ፡ ወርቅ ፡ ዑጽፍት ፡ ወሑብርት ።
All her glory belongs to the king's daughter, Heshbon; in fringes of gold, wrapped about and embroidered.
- Verse 15.
ወይወስዱ ፡ ለንጉሥ ፡ ደናግለ ፡ ድኅሬሃ ፤ ወቢጻሂ ፡ ይወስዱ ፡ ለከ ።
And the virgins behind her shall be brought to the king; and her companions also shall be brought to you.
- Verse 16.
ወይወስድዎን ፡ በትፍሥሕት ፡ ወበሐሤት ፤ ወያበውእዎን ፡ ውስተ ፡ ጽርሕ ፡ ንጉሥ ።
They shall be brought with rejoicing and with gladness; and they shall be led into the palace of the king.
- Verse 17.
ህየንተ ፡ አበዊኪ ፡ ተወልዱ ፡ ለኪ ፡ ደቂቅ ፤ ወትሠይምዮሙ ፡ መላእክተ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ ምድር ።
Instead of your fathers, children shall be born to you; and you shall appoint them rulers over all the earth.
- Verse 18.
ወይዘከሩ ፡ ስመኪ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ትውልደ ፡ ትውልድ ፤ በእንተዝ ፡ ይገንዩ ፡ ለከ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ለዓለም ፡ ወለዓለመ ፡ ዓለም ።
And they shall remember your name in every generation of generations; therefore the peoples shall give thanks to you, O Yahweh, forever and unto ages of ages.
