መዝሙር ፵፫

1. Verse 1.፩

   ፍጻሜ ፡ ዘደቂቀ ፡ ቆሬ ፡ ዘበኣእምሮ ፡ መዝሙር ።

   To the end. Of the sons of Korah, a psalm of understanding.

2. Verse 2.፪

   እግዚኦ ፡ ሰማዕነ ፡ በእዘኒነ ፡ ወአበዊነሂ ፡ ዜነዉነ ። ግብረ ፡ ዘገበርከ ፡ በመዋዕሊሆሙ ፡ በመዋዕለ ፡ ትካት ።

   O Yahweh, we have heard with our ears, and our fathers have told us the work that you did in their days, in the days of old.

3. Verse 3.፫

   እዴከ ፡ ሠረወቶሙ ፡ ለፀር ፡ ወተከልከ ፡ ኪያሆሙ ፤ ሣቀይኮሙ ፡ ለአሕዛብ ፡ ወሰደድኮሙ ።

   Your hand uprooted the enemies, and you planted them; you afflicted the nations and drove them out.

4. Verse 4.፬

   ዘአኮ ፡ በኲናቶሙ ፡ ወረስዋ ፡ ለምድር ፡ ወመዝራዕቶሙ ፡ ኢያድኀኖሙ ፤ ዘእንበለ ፡ የማንከ ፡ ወመዝራዕትከ ፡ ወብርሃነ ፡ ገጽከ ፡ እስመ ፡ ተሣሀልኮሙ ።

   For not by their sword did they inherit the land, neither did their arm save them; but your right hand and your arm and the light of your countenance, because you were pleased with them.

5. Verse 5.፭

   አንተ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ንጉሥየ ፡ ወአምላኪየ ፤ ዘአዘዝከ ፡ መድኀኒቶ ፡ ለያዕቆብ ።

   You are my king and my God, who command salvation for Jacob.

6. Verse 6.፮

   ብከ ፡ ንወግኦሙ ፡ ለኵሎሙ ፡ ፀርነ ፤ ወበስምከ ፡ ናኀስሮሙ ፡ ለእለ ፡ ቆሙ ፡ ላዕሌነ ።

   Through you we will gore all our enemies; and in your name we will bring low those who rise up against us.

7. Verse 7.፯

   ዘአኮ ፡ በቀስትየ ፡ እትአመን ፤ ወኲናትየኒ ፡ ኢይድኀነኒ ።

   For not in my bow do I trust; neither shall my sword save me.

8. Verse 8.፰

   ወአድኀንከነ ፡ እምእለ ፡ ሮዱነ ፤ ወአስተኀፈርኮሙ ፡ ለኵሎሙ ፡ ጸላእትነ ።

   But you have saved us from those who pursue us; and you have put to shame all our enemies.

9. Verse 9.፱

   በእግዚአብሔር ፡ ንከብር ፡ ኵሎ ፡ አሚረ ፤ ወለስምከ ፡ ንገኒ ፡ ለዓለም ።

   In Yahweh we will glory all the day; and to your name we will give thanks forever.

10. Verse 10.፲

    ይእዜሰ ፡ ገደፍከነ ፡ ወአስተኀፈርከነ ፤ ወኢትወፅእ ፡ አምላክነ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ኀይልነ ፡

    But now you have cast us off and put us to shame; and you do not go forth, O our God, with our armies.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    ወአግባእከነ ፡ ድኅሬነ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ፀርነ ፤ ወተማሰጡነ ፡ ጸላእትነ ።

    And you have turned us back behind, before our enemies; and our foes have plundered us.

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    ወወሀብከነ ፡ ይብልዑነ ፡ ከመ ፡ አባግዕ ፤ ወዘረውከነ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አሕዛብ ።

    And you have given us up to be devoured like sheep; and you have scattered us among the nations.

13. Verse 13.፲፫

    መጦከ ፡ ሕዝበከ ፡ ዘእንበለ ፡ ሤጥ ፤ ወአልቦ ፡ ብዝኀ ፡ ለይባቤነ ።

    You have sold your people for no price; and there was no abundance in our purchase-price.

14. Verse 14.፲፬

    ረሰይከነ ፡ ጽእለተ ፡ ለጎርነ ፤ ሠሓቀ ፡ ወሥላቀ ፡ ለአድያሚነ ።

    You have made us a reproach to our neighbors, a derision and a mockery to those around us.

15. Verse 15.፲፭

    ወረሰይከነ ፡ አምሳለ ፡ ለአሕዛብ ፤ ወሑስተ ፡ ርእስ ፡ ለሕዝብ ።

    And you have made us a byword among the nations, and a shaking of the head among the peoples.

16. Verse 16.፲፮

    ኵሎ ፡ አሚረ ፡ ቅድሜየ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ኀፍረትየ ፤ ወከደነኒ ፡ ኀፍረተ ፡ ገጽየ ።

    All the day my shame is before me; and the shame of my face has covered me,

17. Verse 17.፲፯

    እምቃለ ፡ ዘይጽእል ፡ ወይዘረኪ ፤ እምገጸ ፡ ፀራዊ ፡ ዘይረውድ ።

    Because of the voice of him that reviles and rails; before the face of the enemy and the avenger.

18. Verse 18.፲፰

    ዝንቱ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ በጽሐ ፡ ላዕሌነ ፡ ወኢረሳዕናከ ፡ ወኢዐመፅነ ፡ ኪዳነከ ።

    All this has come upon us, and we have not forgotten you, neither have we dealt falsely with your covenant.

19. Verse 19.፲፱

    ወኢገብአ ፡ ድኀሬሁ ፡ ልብነ ፤ ወኢተግሕሠ ፡ አሰርነ ፡ እምፍኖትከ ።

    And our heart has not turned back; neither have our steps swerved from your path.

20. Verse 20.፳

    እስመ ፡ አሕመምከነ ፡ በብሔር ፡ እኩይ ፤ ወደፈነነ ፡ ጽላሎተ ፡ ሞት ።

    For you have brought us low in a place of evil; and the shadow of death has covered us.

21. Verse 21.፳፩

    ሶበሁ ፡ ረሳዕነ ፡ ስሞ ፡ ለአምላክነ ፤ ወሶበሁ ፡ አንሣእነ ፡ እደዊነ ፡ ኀበ ፡ አምላክ ፡ ነኪር ።

    If we had forgotten the name of our God, and if we had stretched out our hands to a strange god,

22. Verse 22.፳፪

    አኮኑ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እምተኃሠሦ ፡ ለዝንቱ ፤ እስመ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ያአምር ፡ ኀቡኣተ ፡ ልብ ።

    Would not Yahweh have searched this out? For he knows the secrets of the heart.

23. Verse 23.፳፫

    እስመ ፡ በእንቲአከ ፡ ይቀትሉነ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ አሚረ ፡ ወኮነ ፡ ከመ ፡ አባግዕ ፡ ዘይጠብሑ ።

    For on account of you we are killed all the day; we have become like sheep for the slaughter.

24. Verse 24.፳፬

    ንቃህ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ለምንት ፡ ትነውም ፡ ተንሥእ ፡ ወኢትግድፈነ ፡ ለዝሉፉ ።

    Awake, O Yahweh; why do you sleep? Arise, and do not cast us off forever.

25. Verse 25.፳፭

    ወለምንት ፡ ትመይጥ ፡ ገጸከ ፡ እምኔነ ፤ ወትረስዐነ ፡ ሕማመነ ፡ ወተጽናሰነ ።

    And why do you turn away your face from us, and forget our affliction and our oppression?

26. Verse 26.፳፮

    እስመ ፡ ኀስረት ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ነፍስነ ፤ ወጠግዐት ፡ በምድር ፡ ከርሥነ ።

    For our soul is brought down to the dust; our belly cleaves to the earth.

27. Verse 27.፳፯

    ተንሥእ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ርድአነ ፤ ወአድኅነነ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ስምከ ።

    Arise, O Yahweh, help us; and redeem us for your name's sake.
