- Verse 1.
መዝሙር ፡ ዘዳዊት ። ፍታሕ ፡ ሊተ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ወተበቀል ፡ በቀልየ ፡ እምሕዝብ ፡ ውፁኣን ፡ እምጽድቅ ፤ እምብእሲ ፡ ዐማፂ ፡ ወጽልሕው ፡ ባልሐኒ ፡
A psalm of David. Judge me, O Yahweh, and avenge my cause against a people that are not holy; from a man unjust and deceitful deliver me;
- Verse 2.
እስመ ፡ አንተ ፡ አምላኪየ ፡ ወኀይልየ ፡ ለምንት ፡ ተኀድገኒ ፤ ወለምንት ፡ ትኩዝየ ፡ ኣንሶሱ ፡ ሶበ ፡ ያመነድቡኒ ፡ ፀርየ ።
For you are my God and my strength; why do you forsake me? And why do I go about mourning while my foes oppress me?
- Verse 3.
ፈኑ ፡ ብርሃነከ ፡ ወጽድቀከ ፡ እማንቱ ፡ ይምርሓኒ ፤ ወይስዳኒ ፡ ደብረ ፡ መቅደስከ ፡ ወውስተ ፡ አብያቲከ ፡ እግዚኦ ።
Send forth your light and your truth; they shall lead me, and they shall bring me to the mountain of your sanctuary and into your dwellings, O Yahweh.
- Verse 4.
ወእበውእ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ምሥዋዒሁ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ኀበ ፡ አምላኪየ ፡ ዘአስተፈሥሓ ፡ ለውርዙትየ ፤
And I shall go in to the altar of Yahweh, to my God who gladdens my youth;
- Verse 5.
እገኒ ፡ ለከ ፡ አምላኪየ ፡ በመሰንቆ ። ለምንት ፡ ትቴክዚ ፡ ነፍስየ ፡ ወለምንት ፡ ተሀውክኒ ፤ እመኒ ፡ በእግዚአብሔር ፡ ከመ ፡ እገኒ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ወድኀኔ ፡ ገጽየ ፡ አምላኪየ ።
I will confess to you, O my God, with the harp. Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why do you trouble me? Trust in Yahweh, for I shall yet confess to him; the salvation of my countenance is my God.
