መዝሙር ፬

1. Verse 1.፩

   ፍጻሜ ፡ ዘአኩቴት ፤ መዝሙር ፡ ዘዳዊት ።

   For the end, a song of thanksgiving; a psalm of David.

2. Verse 2.፪

   ሶበ ፡ ጸዋዕክዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ሰምዐኒ ፡ ጽድቅየ ፡ ወእምንዳቤየ ፡ አርሐበ ፡ ሊተ ። ተሥሀለኒ ፡ ወስምዐኒ ፡ ጸሎትየ ።

   When I called upon Yahweh, the God of my righteousness heard me, and out of my distress he made room for me. Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.

3. Verse 3.፫

   ደቂቀ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ፡ እስከ ፡ ማእዜኑ ፡ ታከብዱ ፡ ልብክሙ ፡ ለምንት ፡ ታፈቅሩ ፡ ከንቶ ፡ ወተኀሡ ፡ ሐሰተ ።

   O sons of men, how long will you be heavy of heart? Why do you love vanity and seek after a lie?

4. Verse 4.፬

   ኣእምሩ ፡ ከመ ፡ ተሰብሐ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በጻድቁ ፤ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ይሰምዐኒ ፡ ሶበ ፡ ጸራኅኩ ፡ ኀቤሁ ።

   Know that Yahweh has glorified his holy one; Yahweh will hear me when I cry to him.

5. Verse 5.፭

   ተምዑ ፡ ወኢተአብሱ ፤ ወዘትሔልዩ ፡ በልብክሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ መስካቢክሙ ፡ ይትዐወቀክሙ ።

   Be angry, and do not sin; and what you ponder in your hearts upon your beds, let it be known to you.

6. Verse 6.፮

   ሡዑ ፡ መሥዋዕተ ፡ ጽድቅ ፡ ወተወከሉ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ።

   Offer the sacrifice of righteousness, and trust in Yahweh.

7. Verse 7.፯

   ብዙኃን ፡ እለ ፡ ይቤሉ ፡ መኑ ፡ ያርእየነ ፡ ሠናይቶ ፤ ተዐውቀ ፡ በላዕሌነ ፡ ብርሃነ ፡ ገጽከ ፡ እግዚኦ ።

   Many are they who say, “Who will show us good things?” The light of your countenance has been marked upon us, O Yahweh.

8. Verse 8.፰

   ወወደይከ ፡ ትፍሥሕተ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ልብነ ፤ እምፍሬ ፡ ስርናይ ፡ ወወይን ፡ ወቅብእ ፡ በዝኃ ።

   And you have put gladness in our heart; from the fruit of wheat, and wine, and oil, they are multiplied.

9. Verse 9.፱

   በሰላም ፡ ቦቱ ፡ እሰክብ ፡ ወእነውም ። እስመ ፡ እንተ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ በተስፋ ፡ ባሕቲትከ ፡ ኣኅደርከኒ ።

   In peace I will both lie down and sleep in him; for you alone, O Yahweh, have made me to dwell in hope.
