መዝሙር ፫

1. Verse 1.፩

   መዝሙር ፡ ዘዳዊት ፡ ዘአመ ፡ ጐየ ፡ እምገጸ ፡ አቤሰሎም ።

   A psalm of David, when he fled from before Absalom.

2. Verse 2.፪

   እግዚኦ ፡ ሚበዝኁ ፡ እለ ፡ ይሣቅዩኒ ፤ ብዙኃን ፡ ቆሙ ፡ ላዕሌየ ።

   O Yahweh, how many are they who afflict me; many have risen up against me.

3. Verse 3.፫

   ብዙኃን ፡ ይቤልዋ ፡ ለነፍስየ ፤ ኢያድኅነኪ ፡ አምላክኪ ።

   Many say to my soul, “There is no salvation for you in your God.”

4. Verse 4.፬

   አንተሰ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ምስካይየ ፡ አንተ ፤ ክብርየ ፡ ወመልዕለ ፡ ርእስየ ።

   But you, O Yahweh, are my refuge; my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.

5. Verse 5.፭

   ቃልየ ፡ ኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ጸራኅኩ ፤ ወሰምዐኒ ፡ እምደብረ ፡ መቅደሱ ።

   With my voice I cried to Yahweh, and he heard me from the mountain of his sanctuary.

6. Verse 6.፮

   አንሰ ፡ ሰከብኩ ፡ ወኖምኩ ፤ ወተንሣእኩ ፡ እስመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አንሥአኒ ።

   I lay down and slept; and I rose up, because Yahweh raised me.

7. Verse 7.፯

   ኢይፈርህ ፡ እምአእላፍ ፡ አሕዛብ ፤ እለ ፡ ዐገቱኒ ፡ ወቆሙ ፡ ላዕሌየ ።

   I will not fear the myriads of the peoples who have surrounded me and risen up against me.

8. Verse 8.፰

   ተንሥእ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ አምላኪየ ፡ ወአድኅነኒ ፤ እስመ ፡ አንተ ፡ ቀሠፍኮሙ ፡ ለኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ይፃረሩኒ ፡ በከንቱ ። ስነኒሆሙ ፡ ለኃጥኣን ፡ ሰበርከ ።

   Arise, O Yahweh my God, and save me; for you have struck all those who oppose me in vain. You have broken the teeth of the wicked.

9. Verse 9.፱

   ዘእግዚአብሔር ፡ አድኅኖ ፤ ወላዕለ ፡ ሕዝብከ ፡ በረከትከ ።

   Salvation is Yahweh's; and your blessing is upon your people.
