መዝሙር ፴፯

1. Verse 1.፩

   መዝሙር ፡ ዘዳዊት ፡ ለተዝካረ ሰንበት ።

   A psalm of David, for a memorial concerning the Sabbath.

2. Verse 2.፪

   እግዚኦ ፡ በመዐትከ ፡ ኢትቅሥፈኒ ፤ ወበመቅሠፍትከ ፡ ኢትገሥጸኒ ።

   O Yahweh, rebuke me not in your wrath, and chasten me not in your anger.

3. Verse 3.፫

   እስመ ፡ አሕጻከ ፡ ደጐጻኒ ፤ ወአጽናዕከ ፡ እዴከ ፡ ላዕሌየ ።

   For your arrows have pierced me, and you have pressed your hand hard upon me.

4. Verse 4.፬

   ወአልቦ ፡ ፈውሰ ፡ ለሥጋየ ፡ እምገጸ ፡ መዐትከ ፤ ወአልቦ ፡ ሰላመ ፡ ለአዕጽምትየ ፡ እምገጸ ፡ ኀጢአትየ ።

   There is no healing for my flesh because of your wrath, and there is no peace for my bones because of my sin.

5. Verse 5.፭

   እስመ ፡ ኖኀ ፡ እምሥዕርትየ ፡ ጌጋይየ ፤ ከመ ፡ ጾር ፡ ክብድ ፡ ከብደ ፡ ላዕሌየ ።

   For my iniquities have risen higher than my head; like a heavy burden they have weighed heavily upon me.

6. Verse 6.፮

   ጼአ ፡ ወባኍብኈ ፡ አዕጽምትየ ፡ እምገጸ ፡ እበድየ ።

   My bones stink and are corrupt because of my folly.

7. Verse 7.፯

   ሐርተምኩ ፡ ወተቀጻዕኩ ፡ ለዝሉፉ ፤ ወኵሎ ፡ አሚረ ፡ ትኩዝየ ፡ ኣንሶሱ ።

   I am bent down and brought utterly low; all the day I go about mourning.

8. Verse 8.፰

   እስመ ፡ ጸግበት ፡ ጽእለተ ፡ ነፍስየ ፤ ወኀጣእኩ ፡ ፈውሰ ፡ ለሥጋየ ።

   For my soul is filled with scorn, and there is no healing for my flesh.

9. Verse 9.፱

   ደወይኩ ፡ ወሐመምኩ ፡ ፈድፋደ ፤ ወእጐሥዕ ፡ እምሐዘነ ፡ ልብየ ።

   I am afflicted and brought low exceedingly; I groan from the sorrow of my heart.

10. Verse 10.፲

    በቅድሜከ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ፍትወትየ ፤ ወገዓርየኒ ፡ ኢይትኀባእ ፡ እምኔከ ።

    Before you is all my desire, and my groaning is not hidden from you.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    ልብየኒ ፡ ደንገፀኒ ፡ ወኀይልየኒ ፡ ኀደገኒ ፤ ወብርሃነ ፡ አዕይንትየኒ ፡ ለከወኒ ።

    My heart is troubled, and my strength has forsaken me, and the light of my eyes, even it has failed me.

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    አዕርክትየኒ ፡ ወቢጽየኒ ፡ ዕድወ ፡ ኮኑኒ ፡ ሮዱኒ ፡ ወደበዩኒ ፤

    My friends and my companions have become my adversaries; they pursued me and lay in wait against me,

13. Verse 13.፲፫

    ወአዝማድየኒ ፡ ቀብፁኒ ፡ ወተናከሩኒ ። ወተኀየሉኒ ፡ እለ ፡ የኀሥሥዋ ፡ ለነፍስየ ፤ ወእለኒ ፡ ይፈቅዱ ፡ ሕማምየ ፡ ነበቡ ፡ ከንቶ ፤ ወኵሎ ፡ አሚረ ፡ ይመክሩ ፡ በቍፅር ፡ ያመነስዉኒ ።

    and my kinsmen abandoned me and held aloof. And those who seek my soul prevailed against me; and those who desire my hurt spoke vanity, and all the day they devise mischief in wrath to entrap me.

14. Verse 14.፲፬

    ወአንሰ ፡ ከመ ፡ ጽሙም ፡ ዘኢይሰምዕ ፤ ወከመ ፡ በሃም ፡ ዘኢይከሥት ፡ አፉሁ ።

    But I was like a deaf man who does not hear, and like a mute who does not open his mouth.

15. Verse 15.፲፭

    ወኮንኩ ፡ ከመ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ዘኢይሰምዕ ፤ ወከመ ፡ ዘኢይክል ፡ ተናግሮ ፡ በአፉሁ ።

    And I became like a man who does not hear, and like one who has no answer in his mouth.

16. Verse 16.፲፮

    እስመ ፡ ኪያከ ፡ ተወከልኩ ፡ እግዚኦ ፤ አንተ ፡ ስምዐኒ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ አምላኪየ ።

    For in you I have trusted, O Yahweh; you will hear me, O Yahweh my God.

17. Verse 17.፲፯

    እስመ ፡ እቤ ፡ ኢትረስየኒ ፡ ስላተ ፡ ጸላእየ ፤ ወእመኒ ፡ ድኅፀ ፡ ሰኰናየ ፡ ያዐብዩ ፡ አፉሆሙ ፡ ላዕሌየ ።

    For I said, 'Let not my enemies mock me, and when my feet slip, let them not magnify themselves against me.'

18. Verse 18.፲፰

    እስመ ፡ ሊተሰ ፡ አጽንሑኒ ፡ ይቅሥፉኒ ፤ ወቍስልየኒ ፡ ቅድሜየ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ጊዜ ።

    For I am ready for scourges, and my pain is before me continually.

19. Verse 19.፲፱

    ወእነግር ፡ ጌጋይየ ፤ ወእቴክዝ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ኀጢአትየ ።

    And I will declare my iniquity, and I will be sorrowful for my sin.

20. Verse 20.፳

    ጸላእትየሰ ፡ ሕያዋን ፡ ወይኄይሉኒ ፤ ወበዝኁ ፡ እለ ፡ በዐመፃ ፡ ይጸልኡኒ ።

    But my enemies live and are stronger than I, and those who hate me wrongfully are multiplied.

21. Verse 21.፳፩

    እለ ፡ ይፈድዩኒ ፡ እኪተ ፡ ህየንተ ፡ ሠናይት ፡ ወያስተዋድዩኒ ፡ በተሊወ ፡ ጽድቅ ። ወገደፉ ፡ እኅዋሆሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ በድን ፡ ርኩስ ።

    Those who repay me evil for good slander me because I follow after righteousness. And they have cast off their brother like an unclean corpse.

22. Verse 22.፳፪

    አንተ ፡ ኢትግድፈኒ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ አምላኪየ ፡ ወኢትርሕቅ ፡ እምኔየ ።

    Do not forsake me, O Yahweh my God; do not be far from me.

23. Verse 23.፳፫

    ወነጽር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ረዱኦትየ ፤ እግዚኦ ፡ አምላከ ፡ መድኀኒትየ ።

    And look to my help, O Yahweh, God of my salvation.
