መዝሙር ፴፭

1. Verse 1.፩

   ፍጻሜ ፡ ዘገብረ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፤ መዝሙር ፡ ዘዳዊት ።

   Unto the end; of the servant of Yahweh [or: of that which Yahweh wrought]; a psalm of David.

2. Verse 2.፪

   ይነብብ ፡ ኃጥእ ፡ በዘ ፡ ያስሕት ፡ ርእሶ ፤ ወአልቦ ፡ ፍርሀተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ቅድመ ፡ አዕይንቲሁ ።

   The sinner speaks in himself that he may lead himself astray; there is no fear of Yahweh before his eyes.

3. Verse 3.፫

   እስመ ፡ ጸልሐወ ፡ በልሳኑ ፤ ሶበ ፡ ትረክቦ ፡ ኀጢአቱ ፡ ይጸልኦ ።

   For he has dealt craftily with his tongue; when his iniquity is found out, he hates it [or: him].

4. Verse 4.፬

   ቃለ ፡ አፉሁ ፡ ዐመፃ ፡ ወጕሕሉት ፤ ወኢፈቀደ ፡ ይለቡ ፡ ከመ ፡ ያሠኒ ።

   The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit; he has refused to understand so as to do good.

5. Verse 5.፭

   ወሐለየ ፡ ዐመፃ ፡ በውስተ ፡ ምስካቡ ፤ ወቆመ ፡ በፍኖት ፡ እንተ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ኢኮነት ፡ ሠናይተ ፡ ወኢተሀከያ ፡ ለእኪት ።

   He has devised iniquity upon his bed; he has set himself in a way that is in no wise good, and he has not abhorred evil.

6. Verse 6.፮

   እግዚኦ ፡ በሰማይ ፡ ሣህልከ ፤ ወጽድቅከኒ ፡ እስከ ፡ ደመናት ።

   O Yahweh, your mercy is in heaven, and your righteousness reaches to the clouds.

7. Verse 7.፯

   ወርትዕከኒ ፡ ከመ ፡ አድባረ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፤ ኵነኔከ ፡ ዕሙቅ ፡ ጥቀ ፤ ሰብአ ፡ ወእንስሳ ፡ ታድኅን ፡ እግዚኦ ።

   And your justice is like the mountains of Yahweh; your judgments are a great deep; man and beast you save, O Yahweh.

8. Verse 8.፰

   በከመ ፡ አብዛኅከ ፡ ምሕረተከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፤ ደቂቀ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ፡ ይትዌከሉ ፡ በታሕተ ፡ ክነፊከ ።

   How you have multiplied your mercy, O Yahweh! The sons of the children of men trust under the shadow of your wings.

9. Verse 9.፱

   ወይረውዩ ፡ እምጠለ ፡ ቤትከ ፤ ወትሰቅዮሙ ፡ ፈለገ ፡ ትፍሥሕትከ ።

   They shall be satisfied with the fatness of your house, and you shall give them to drink of the river of your delight.

10. Verse 10.፲

    እስመ ፡ እምኀቤከ ፡ ነቅዐ ፡ ሕይወት ፤ በብርሃንከ ፡ ንሬኢ ፡ ብርሃነ ።

    For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we shall see light.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    ስፋሕ ፡ ምሕረተከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ እለ ፡ ያአምሩከ ፤ ወጽድቀከኒ ፡ ለርቱዓነ ፡ ልብ ።

    Extend your mercy, O Yahweh, to those who know you, and your righteousness to the upright of heart.

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    ኢይምጽአኒ ፡ እግረ ፡ ትዕቢት ፤ ወእደ ፡ ኃጥእ ፡ ኢይሁከኒ ።

    Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the sinner shake me.

13. Verse 13.፲፫

    ህየ ፡ ወድቁ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ ገበርተ ፡ ዐመፃ ፤ ይሰደዱ ፡ ወኢይክሉ ፡ ቀዊመ ።

    There the workers of iniquity have all fallen; they are driven out and are not able to stand.
