መዝሙር ፴፫

1. Verse 1.፩

   መዝሙር ፡ ዘዳዊት ፤ ዘአመ ፡ በዐደ ፡ ገጾ ፡ እምቅድሜሁ ፡ ለአቢሜሌክ ።

   A psalm of David, when he changed his countenance before Abimelech.

2. Verse 2.፪

   እባርኮ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ጊዜ ፤ ወዘልፈ ፡ ስብሓቲሁ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አፉየ ።

   I will bless Yahweh at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

3. Verse 3.፫

   በእግዚአብሔር ፡ ትከብር ፡ ነፍስየ ፤ ይስምዑ ፡ የዋሃን ፡ ወይትፈሥሑ ።

   In Yahweh my soul shall be honored; let the meek hear and rejoice.

4. Verse 4.፬

   አዕብይዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ምስሌየ ፤ ወናልዕል ፡ ስሞ ፡ ኅቡረ ።

   Magnify Yahweh with me, and let us exalt his name together.

5. Verse 5.፭

   ኀሠሥክዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወተሠጥወኒ ፤ ወእምኵሉ ፡ ምንዳቤየ ፡ አድኀነኒ ።

   I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, and he delivered me out of all my tribulation.

6. Verse 6.፮

   ቅረቡ ፡ ኀቤሁ ፡ ወያበርህ ፡ ለክሙ ፤ ወኢይትኀፈር ፡ ገጽክሙ ።

   Draw near to him, and he will give you light, and your faces shall not be ashamed.

7. Verse 7.፯

   ዝንቱ ፡ ነዳይ ፡ ጸርኀ ፡ ወእግዚአብሔር ፡ ሰምዖ ፤ ወእምኵሉ ፡ ምንዳቤሁ ፡ አድኀኖ ።

   This poor man cried out, and Yahweh heard him, and saved him out of all his tribulation.

8. Verse 8.፰

   ይትዐየን ፡ መልአከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዐውዶሙ ፡ ለእለ ፡ ይፈርህዎ ፡ ወያድኅኖሙ ።

   The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.

9. Verse 9.፱

   ጠዐሙ ፡ ወታእምሩ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኄር ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፤ ብፁዕ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ዘተወከለ ፡ ቦቱ ።

   Taste and see that Yahweh is good; blessed is the man who trusts in him.

10. Verse 10.፲

    ፍርህዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ኵልክሙ ፡ ቅዱሳኑ ፤ እስመ ፡ አልቦሙ ፡ ተፅናሰ ፡ ለእለ ፡ ይፈርህዎ ።

    Fear Yahweh, all you his holy ones, for there is no want to those who fear him.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    ብዑላንሰ ፡ ነድዩ ፡ ወርኅቡ ፤ ወእለሰ ፡ ይኀሥዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ኢተጸነሱ ፡ እምኵሎ ፡ ሠናይ ።

    The rich have become poor and have hungered, but those who seek Yahweh shall not be lacking in any good thing.

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    ንዑ ፡ ደቂቅየ ፡ ወስምዑኒ ፤ ፈሪሀ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እምህርክሙ ።

    Come, my children, and listen to me; I will teach you the fear of Yahweh.

13. Verse 13.፲፫

    መኑ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ዘይፈቅዱ ፡ ሐይወ ፤ ወያፍቅር ፡ ይርእይ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ ሠናያተ ።

    Who is the man who desires life, and loves to see good days?

14. Verse 14.፲፬

    ክላእ ፡ ልሳነከ ፡ እምእኩይ ፤ ወከናፍሪከኒ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይንብባ ፡ ጕሕሉተ ።

    Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips that they speak no deceit.

15. Verse 15.፲፭

    ተገሐሥ ፡ እምእኩይ ፡ ወግበር ፡ ሠናየ ፤ ኅሥሣ ፡ ለሰላም ፡ ወዴግና ።

    Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

16. Verse 16.፲፮

    እስመ ፡ አዕይንቲሁ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ኀበ ፡ ጻድቃኑ ፤ ወእዝኑሂ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ስእለቶሙ ።

    For the eyes of Yahweh are upon his righteous ones, and his ears toward their petition.

17. Verse 17.፲፯

    ገጹ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ኀበ ፡ እለ ፡ ይገብሩ ፡ እኩየ ፤ ከመ ፡ ይሠረው ፡ እምድር ፡ ዝክሮሙ ።

    But the face of Yahweh is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.

18. Verse 18.፲፰

    ጸርኁ ፡ ጻድቃን ፡ ወእግዚአብሔር ፡ ሰምዖሙ ፤ ወእምኵሉ ፡ ምንዳቤሆሙ ፡ አድኀኖሙ ።

    The righteous cried out, and Yahweh heard them, and delivered them out of all their tribulation.

19. Verse 19.፲፱

    ቅሩብ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለየዋሃነ ፡ ልብ ፤ ወያድኅኖሙ ፡ ለትሑታነ ፡ መንፈስ ።

    Yahweh is near to those of a meek heart, and he saves the lowly in spirit.

20. Verse 20.፳

    ብዙኅ ፡ ሕማሞሙ ፡ ለጻድቃን ፤ ወእምኵሉ ፡ ያድኅኖሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።

    Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but out of them all Yahweh delivers them.

21. Verse 21.፳፩

    እግዚአብሔር ፡ የዐቅብ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ አዕጽምቲሆሙ ፤ ወኢይትቀጠቀጥ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ እምውስቴቶሙ ።

    Yahweh keeps all their bones; not one of them shall be broken.

22. Verse 22.፳፪

    ሞቱ ፡ ለኃጥእ ፡ ፀዋግ ፤ ወእለሰ ፡ ይጸልእዎ ፡ ለጻድቅ ፡ ይኔስሑ ።

    The death of the sinner is wretched, and those who hate the righteous shall do penance.

23. Verse 23.፳፫

    ይቤዙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ነፍሰ ፡ አግብርቲሁ ፤ ወኢይኔስሑ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ይትዌከሉ ፡ ቦቱ ።

    Yahweh will redeem the souls of his servants, and none of those who trust in him shall do penance.
