መዝሙር ፴

1. Verse 1.፩

   መዝሙር ፡ ዘዳዊት ፡ ዘበተደሞ ፡ ከመዘ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ በካልእ ።

   A Psalm of David, of ecstasy [trance], as it stands in another [copy].

2. Verse 2.፪

   ኪየከ ፡ ተወከልኩ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ወኢይትኀፈር ፡ ለዓለም ፤ ወበጽድቅከ ፡ አንግፈኒ ፡ ወባልሐኒ ።

   In you I have trusted, O Yahweh; let me never be ashamed; and in your righteousness deliver me and rescue me.

3. Verse 3.፫

   አፅምእ ፡ እዝነከ ፡ ኀቤየ ፡ ወፍጡነ ፡ አድኅነኒ ። ኩነኒ ፡ አምላኪየ ፡ ወመድኀንየ ፤ ወቤተ ፡ ጸወንየ ፡ ከመ ፡ ታድኅነኒ ፡

   Incline your ear to me, and swiftly save me. Be to me my God and my savior; and a house of refuge to save me;

4. Verse 4.፬

   እስመ ፡ ኀይልየ ፡ ወጸወንየ ፡ አንተ ፤ ወበእንተ ፡ ስምከ ፡ ምርሐኒ ፡ ወሴስየኒ ።

   For you are my strength and my refuge; and for your name's sake guide me and sustain me.

5. Verse 5.፭

   ወአውፅእኒ ፡ እምዛቲ ፡ መሥገርት ፡ እንተ ፡ ኀብኡ ፡ ሊተ ፤ እስመ ፡ አንተ ፡ ረዳእየ ፡ እግዚኦ ።

   And bring me out from this snare which they have hidden for me; for you are my helper, O Yahweh.

6. Verse 6.፮

   ውስተ ፡ እዴከ ፡ ኣምኀፅን ፡ ነፍስየ ፤ ቤዝወኒ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላከ ፡ ጽድቅ ።

   Into your hand I commit my soul; you have redeemed me, O Yahweh, God of truth.

7. Verse 7.፯

   ጸላእከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘየዐቅብ ፡ ከንቶ ፡ ለዝሉፉ ፤ ወአንሰ ፡ በእግዚአብሔር ፡ እወከልኩ ።

   You have hated, O Yahweh, all who keep watch over vanity continually; but I, I have trusted in Yahweh.

8. Verse 8.፰

   እትፌሣሕ ፡ ወእትሐሠይ ፡ በአድኅኖትከ ። እስመ ፡ ርኢከኒ ፡ በሕማምየ ፤ ወአድኀንካ ፡ እምንዳቤሃ ፡ ለነፍስየ ።

   I will rejoice and be glad in your salvation. For you have seen my affliction; and you have saved my soul from its distress.

9. Verse 9.፱

   ወኢዘጋሕከኒ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እደ ፡ ፀርየ ። ወአቀምኮን ፡ ውስተ ፡ መርሕብ ፡ ለእገርየ ።

   And you have not shut me up into the hand of my enemy. And you have set my feet in a broad place.

10. Verse 10.፲

    ተሣሀለኒ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ እስመ ፡ ሐመምኩ ፤ ወተሀውከት ፡ እመዐት ፡ ዐይንየ ፡ ነፍስየኒ ፡ ወከርሥየኒ ።

    Have mercy on me, O Yahweh, for I am afflicted; and my eye is troubled with grief, my soul also and my belly.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    እስመ ፡ ኀልቀ ፡ በሕማም ፡ ሕይወትየ ፤ ወዐመትየኒ ፡ በገዐር ። ደክመ ፡ በተጽናስ ፡ ኀይልየ ፤ ወአንቀልቀለ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ አዕጽምትየ ።

    For my life is consumed with grief; and my years with groaning. My strength is weakened through affliction; and all my bones are shaken.

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    ተጸአልኩ ፡ በኀበ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ ጸላእትየ ፤ ወፈድፋደሰ ፡ በኀበ ፡ ጎርየ ፡ ግሩም ፡ ኮንክዎሙ ፡ ለአዝማድየ ።

    I have become a reproach before all my enemies; and exceedingly so before my neighbors; I have become a terror to my kinsmen.

13. Verse 13.፲፫

    ወእለኒ ፡ ይሬእዩኒ ፡ አፍአ ፡ ይጐዩ ፡ እምኔየ ። ቀብጹኒ ፡ እምልብ ፡ ከመ ፡ ዘሞተ ፤ ወኮንኩ ፡ ከመ ፡ ንዋይ ፡ ዘተሐጕለ ።

    And those who see me outside flee from me. They have given me up out of mind like one who is dead; and I have become like a vessel that is lost.

14. Verse 14.፲፬

    እስመ ፡ ሰማዕኩ ፡ ድምፀ ፡ ብዙኃን ፡ እለ ፡ ዐገቱኒ ፡ ዐውድየ ። ሶበ ፡ ተጋብኡ ፡ ኅቡረ ፡ ላዕሌየ ፤ ወተማከሩ ፡ ይምስጥዋ ፡ ለነፍስየ ።

    For I have heard the slander of the many who surrounded me on every side, when they gathered together against me; and they took counsel to seize my soul.

15. Verse 15.፲፭

    ወአንሰ ፡ ብከ ፡ ተወከልኩ ፡ እግዚኦ ፤ ወእቤለከ ፡ አምላኪየ ፡ አንተ ።

    But I, I have trusted in you, O Yahweh; and I said, You are my God.

16. Verse 16.፲፮

    ውስተ ፡ እዴከ ፡ ርስትየ ፤ አድኅነኒ ፡ እንእደ ፡ ፀርየ ፡ ወእምእለ ፡ ሮዱኒ ።

    In your hand are my lots; deliver me from the hand of my enemy and from those who pursue me.

17. Verse 17.፲፯

    አብርህ ፡ ገጸከ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ገብርከ ፤ ወአድኅነኒ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ምሕረትከ ።

    Make your face shine upon your servant; and save me for your mercy's sake.

18. Verse 18.፲፰

    ወኢይትኀፈር ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ እስመ ፡ ጸዋዕኩከ ፤ ለይትኀፈሩ ፡ ጽልሕዋን ፡ ወይረዱ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሲኦል ።

    And let me not be put to shame, O Yahweh, for I have called upon you; let the wicked be put to shame, and let them go down into Sheol.

19. Verse 19.፲፱

    አሌሎን ፡ ለከናፍረ ፡ ጕሕሉት ፤ እለ ፡ ይነባ ፡ ዐመፃ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ጻድቅ ፡ በትዕቢት ፡ ወበመንኖ ።

    Woe to the deceitful lips [let the deceitful lips be silenced], which speak iniquity against the righteous in pride and in contempt.

20. Verse 20.፳

    ወበከመ ፡ ብዝኀ ፡ ምሕረትከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ሰወርኮሙ ፡ ለእለ ፡ ይፈርሁከ ። ወአድኀንኮሙ ፡ ለእለ ፡ ይትዌከሉ ፡ ብከ ፤ በቅድመ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እምሕያው ።

    And according to the abundance of your mercy, O Yahweh, you have hidden them away for those who fear you. And you have saved those who trust in you, before the sons of the children of men.

21. Verse 21.፳፩

    ወተኀብኦሙ ፡ በጽላሎትከ ፡ እምሀከከ ፡ ሰብእ ፤ ወትከድኖሙ ፡ በመንጦላዕትከ ፡ እምባህለ ፡ ልሳን ።

    And you hide them in your shelter from the disturbance of men; and you cover them in your pavilion from the strife of tongues.

22. Verse 22.፳፪

    ይትባረክ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘሰብሐ ፡ ምሕረቶ ፡ ላዕሌየ ፡ በብዝኀ ፡ ምንዳቤየ ።

    Blessed be Yahweh, who has magnified his mercy upon me in the abundance of my affliction.

23. Verse 23.፳፫

    አንሰ ፡ እቤ ፡ ተገደፍኩኒ ፡ እንጋ ፡ እምቅድመ ፡ አዕይንቲከ ። በእንተዝ ፡ ሰምዐኒ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ቃለ ፡ ስእለትየ ፡ ዘጸራኅኩ ፡ ኀቤሁ ።

    But I, I said, I am cast off, then, from before your eyes. Therefore Yahweh heard the voice of my supplication, which I cried to him.

24. Verse 24.፳፬

    አፍቅርዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ኵልክሙ ፡ ጻድቃኑ ። እስመ ፡ ጽድቀ ፡ የኀሥሥ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፤ ወይትቤቀሎሙ ፡ ለእለ ፡ የኀሥሡ ፡ ትዕቢተ ፡ ፈድፋደ ።

    Love Yahweh, all you his righteous ones. For Yahweh seeks truth; and he requites those who pursue pride, abundantly.

25. Verse 25.፳፭

    ተዐገሡ ፡ ወአጽንዑ ፡ ልበክሙ ፤ ኵልክሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ተወከልክሙ ፡ በእግዚአብሔር ።

    Be of good courage, and let your heart be strong; all you who trust in Yahweh.
