- Verse 1.
ፍጻሜ ፡ መዝሙር ፡ ማኅሌት ፡ ለተሐድሶ ፡ ቤቱ ፡ ለዳዊት ።
The conclusion. A Psalm, a song for the dedication of the house, of David.
- Verse 2.
ኣአኵተከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ እስመ ፡ ተወከፍክኒ ፤ ወስላተ ፡ ጸላኢየ ፡ ኢረሰይከኒ ።
I give thanks to you, O Yahweh, for you have received me; and you have not made me a mockery to my enemy.
- Verse 3.
እግዚኦ ፡ አምላኪየ ፡ ጸራኅኩ ፡ ኀቤከ ፡ ወተሣሀልከኒ ።
O Yahweh my God, I cried out to you, and you had mercy on me.
- Verse 4.
እግዚኦ ፡ አውፃእካ ፡ እምሲኦል ፡ ለነፍስየ ፤ ወአድኀንከኒ ፡ እምእለ ፡ ይወርዱ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ግብ ።
O Yahweh, you brought up my soul from Sheol; and you saved me from those who go down into the pit.
- Verse 5.
ዘምሩ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ጻድቃኑ ፤ ወግነዩ ፡ ለዝክረ ፡ ቅድሳቱ ።
Sing to Yahweh, you his righteous ones; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
- Verse 6.
እስመ ፡ መቅሠፍት ፡ እመዐቱ ፡ ወሐይው ፡ እምፈቅዱ ፤ በምሴት ፡ ይደምፅ ፡ ብካይ ፡ ወበጽባሕ ፡ ፍሥሓ ።
For chastisement is from his wrath, and life from his good will; at evening weeping lodges, and at morning, gladness.
- Verse 7.
አንሰ ፡ እቤ ፡ በትድላየ ፤ ኢይትሀወክ ፡ ለዓለም ።
But I, I said in my prosperity, I shall never be shaken.
- Verse 8.
እግዚኦ ፡ በሥምረትከ ፡ ሀባ ፡ ኀይለ ፡ ለሕይወትየ ፤ ሜጥከሰ ፡ ገጸከ ፡ ወኮንኩ ፡ ድንጉፀ ።
O Yahweh, by your favor you gave strength to my life; but you turned away your face, and I became dismayed.
- Verse 9.
ኀቤከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ጸራኅኩ ፡ ኀበ ፡ አምላኪየ ፡ እስእል ።
To you, O Yahweh, I cried out; to my God I make my supplication.
- Verse 10.
ምንተ ፡ ያሰልጥ ፡ ደምየ ፡ ለእመ ፡ ወረድኩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሙስና ፤ መሬትኑ ፡ የአምነከ ፡ ወይነግር ፡ ጽድቀከ ።
What profit is there in my blood, if I go down into corruption? Shall the dust confess you, and declare your truth?
- Verse 11.
ሰምዐ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወተሠሀለኒ ፤ ወኮነኒ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ረዳኢየ ።
Yahweh heard and had mercy on me; and Yahweh became my helper.
- Verse 12.
ሜትከ ፡ ላሕየ ፡ ወአስተፈሣሕከኒ ፤ ሰጠጥከ ፡ ሠቅየ ፡ ወሐሤተ ፡ አቅነትከኒ ።
You turned my mourning into [gladness] for me, and made me rejoice; you tore off my sackcloth, and girded me with joy.
- Verse 13.
ከመዝ ፡ እዜምር ፡ ለከ ፡ ክብርየ ፡ ወኢይደንግፅ ፤ እግዚኦ ፡ አምላኪየ ፡ እገኒ ፡ ለከ ፡ ለዓለም ።
Thus my glory will sing to you, and will not be dismayed; O Yahweh my God, I will give thanks to you forever.
