መዝሙር ፳፬

1. Verse 1.፩

   መዝሙር ፡ ዘዳዊት ። ኀቤከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ አንቃዕደውኩ ፡ ነፍስየ ፡

   A psalm of David. To you, O Yahweh, have I lifted up my soul,

2. Verse 2.፪

   አምላኪየ ፡ ኪያከ ፡ ተወከልኩ ፡ ኢይትኀፈር ፡ ለዓለም ፤ ወኢይስሐቁኒ ፡ ጸላእትየ ።

   my God, in you have I trusted; let me not be put to shame forever, and let not my enemies mock me.

3. Verse 3.፫

   እስመ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ይሴፈዉከ ፡ ኢይትኀፈሩ ፤ ለይትኀፈሩ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ይኤብሱ ፡ ዘልፈ ።

   For all who wait for you shall not be put to shame; let them be put to shame who do iniquity without cause.

4. Verse 4.፬

   ፍኖተከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ አምረኒ ፤ ወአሰረ ፡ ዚአከ ፡ ምህረኒ ።

   Make known to me your ways, O Yahweh, and teach me your paths.

5. Verse 5.፭

   ወምርሐኒ ፡ በጽድቅከ ፡ ወምህረኒ ፡ እስመ ፡ አንተ ፡ አምላኪየ ፡ ወመድኀኒየ ፤ ወኪየከ ፡ እሴፎ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ አሚረ ።

   And lead me in your righteousness, and teach me, for you are my God and my savior; and for you I wait all the day.

6. Verse 6.፮

   ተዘከር ፡ ሣህለከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ወምሕረተከኒ ፤ እስመ ፡ ለዓለም ፡ ውእቱ ።

   Remember your compassion, O Yahweh, and your mercy, for it is from everlasting.

7. Verse 7.፯

   ኃጢአትየ ፡ ዘበንእስየ ፡ ወእበድየ ፡ ኢተዝክር ፡ ሊተ ። ወበከመ ፡ ሣህልከ ፡ ተዘከረኒ ፤ በእንተ ፡ ምሕረትከ ፡ እግዚኦ ።

   Remember not against me the sins of my youth and my folly. According to your compassion remember me, for the sake of your mercy, O Yahweh.

8. Verse 8.፰

   ኄርኒ ፡ ወጻድቅኒ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፤ በእንተዝ ፡ ይመርሖሙ ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ ለእለ ፡ ይስሕቱ ።

   Yahweh is good and righteous; therefore he guides in the way those who go astray.

9. Verse 9.፱

   ወይሜህሮሙ ፡ ፍትሐ ፡ ለየዋሃን ፤ ወይኤምሮሙ ፡ ፍኖቶ ፡ ለልቡባን ።

   And he teaches the meek his judgment, and he makes known his way to the understanding.

10. Verse 10.፲

    ኵሉ ፡ ፍኖቱ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ሣህል ፡ ወጽድቅ ፤ ለእለ ፡ የኀሡ ፡ ሕጎ ፡ ወስምዖ ።

    All the ways of Yahweh are mercy and truth for those who seek his law and his testimony.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    በእንተ ፡ ስምከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፤ ወስረይ ፡ ሊተ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ኃጢአትየ ፡ እስመ ፡ ብዙኅ ፡ ውእቱ ።

    For your name's sake, O Yahweh, forgive me all my sin, for it is great.

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    መኑ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ዘይፈርሆ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፤ ወይመርሖ ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ እንተ ፡ ኀርየ ።

    Who is the man that fears Yahweh? Him he will guide in the way that he has chosen.

13. Verse 13.፲፫

    ወነፍሱሂ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሠናይ ፡ ተኀድር ፤ ወዘርዑሂ ፡ ይወርስዋ ፡ ለምድር ።

    And his soul shall dwell in prosperity, and his seed shall inherit the earth.

14. Verse 14.፲፬

    ኀይሎሙ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለእለ ፡ ይፈርህዎ ፤ ወስሙሂ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ለእለ ፡ ይጼውዕዎ ። ወሕጎሂ ፡ ይሜህሮሙ ።

    Yahweh is the strength of those who fear him, and the name of Yahweh is for those who call upon him; and he will teach them his law.

15. Verse 15.፲፭

    አዕይንትየሰ ፡ ዘልፈ ፡ ኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፤ እስመ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ይባልሖን ፡ እመሥገርት ፡ ለእገርየ ።

    My eyes are ever toward Yahweh, for he will draw my feet out of the snare.

16. Verse 16.፲፮

    ነጽር ፡ ላዕሌየ ፡ ወተሣሀለኒ ፤ እስመ ፡ ባሕታዊ ፡ ወነዳይ ፡ አነ ።

    Look upon me and have mercy on me, for I am alone and poor.

17. Verse 17.፲፯

    ወብዙኅ ፡ ሐዘኑ ፡ ለልብየ ፤ አድኅነኒ ፡ እምንዳቤየ ።

    And great is the sorrow of my heart; deliver me from my distresses.

18. Verse 18.፲፰

    ርኢ ፡ ሕማምየ ፡ ወስራሕየ ፤ ወኅድግ ፡ ሊተ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ኃጢአትየ ።

    Behold my affliction and my labor, and forgive me all my sin.

19. Verse 19.፲፱

    ወርኢ ፡ ከመ ፡ በዝኁ ፡ ጸላእትየ ፤ ጽልአ ፡ በዐመፃ ፡ ይጸልኡኒ ።

    And behold how my enemies have multiplied; with unjust hatred they hate me.

20. Verse 20.፳

    ዕቀባ ፡ ለነፍስየ ፡ ወአድኅና ፤ ወኢይትኀፈር ፡ እስመ ፡ ኪየከ ፡ ተወከልኩ ።

    Keep my soul and deliver it, and let me not be put to shame, for in you have I trusted.

21. Verse 21.፳፩

    የዋሃን ፡ ወራትዓን ፡ ተለዉኒ ፤ እስመ ፡ ተሰፈውኩከ ፡ እግዚኦ ።

    The meek and the upright have cleaved to me, for I have waited for you, O Yahweh.

22. Verse 22.፳፪

    ያድኅኖ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለእስራኤል ፡ እምኵሉ ፡ ምንዳቤሁ ።

    Yahweh shall redeem Israel out of all his troubles.
