መዝሙር ፳፫

1. Verse 1.፩

   መዝሙር ፡ ዘዳዊት ፡ ዘቀዳሚተ ሰንበት ። ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ምድር ፡ በምልኣ ፤ ወዓለምኒ ፡ ወኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ውስቴታ ።

   A psalm of David, for the first day of the week. The earth is Yahweh's, in its fullness, and the world, and all who dwell in it.

2. Verse 2.፪

   ወውእቱ ፡ በባሕር ፡ ሳረራ ፤ ወበአፍላግኒ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ አጽንዓ ።

   For he founded it upon the seas, and upon the rivers he established it.

3. Verse 3.፫

   መኑ ፡ የዐርግ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ደብረ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፤ ወመኑ ፡ ይቀውም ፡ ውስተ ፡ መካነ ፡ መቅደሱ ።

   Who shall ascend the mountain of Yahweh, and who shall stand in the place of his sanctuary?

4. Verse 4.፬

   ዘንጹሕ ፡ ልቡ ፡ ወንጹሕ ፡ እደዊሁ ። ወዘኢነሥአ ፡ ከንቶ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ነፍሱ ፤ ወዘኢመሐለ ፡ በጕሕሉት ፡ ለቢጹ ።

   The one whose heart is pure and whose hands are clean, and who has not lifted up his soul to vanity, and who has not sworn deceitfully to his neighbor.

5. Verse 5.፭

   ውእቱ ፡ ይነሥእ ፡ በረከተ ፡ እምኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፤ ወሣህሉኒ ፡ እምኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላኩ ።

   He shall receive a blessing from Yahweh, and compassion from Yahweh his God.

6. Verse 6.፮

   ዛቲ ፡ ትውልድ ፡ ተኀሦ ፡ ሎቱ ፤ ወተኀሥሥ ፡ ገጾ ፡ ለአምላከ ፡ ያዕቆብ ።

   This is the generation that seeks him, that seeks the face of the God of Jacob.

7. Verse 7.፯

   አርኅው ፡ ኆኃተ ፡ መኳንንት ፡ ወይትረኀዋ ፡ ኆኃት ፡ እለ ፡ እምፍጥረት ፤ ወይባእ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ስብሐት ።

   Open the gates, O rulers, and let the ancient doors be opened, and the King of glory shall enter in.

8. Verse 8.፰

   መኑ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ስብሐት ። እግዚአብሔር ፡ ኀያል ፡ ወጽኑዕ ፤ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ኀያል ፡ በውስተ ፡ ፀብእ ።

   Who is this King of glory? Yahweh strong and mighty, Yahweh mighty in battle.

9. Verse 9.፱

   አርኅው ፡ ኆኃተ ፡ መኳንንት ፡ ወይትረኀዋ ፡ ኆኃት ፡ እለ ፡ እምፍጥረት ፤ ወይባእ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ስብሐት ።

   Open the gates, O rulers, and let the ancient doors be opened, and the King of glory shall enter in.

10. Verse 10.፲

    መኑ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ስብሐት ፤ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላከ ፡ ኀያላን ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ስብሐት ።

    Who is this King of glory? Yahweh the God of hosts, he is this King of glory.
