መዝሙር ፲፰

1. Verse 1.፩

   ፍጽሜ ፡ መዝሙር ፡ ዘዳዊት ።

   To the end. A psalm of David.

2. Verse 2.፪

   ሰማያት ፡ ይነግራ ፡ ስብሐተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፤ ወግብረ ፡ እደዊሁ ፡ ያየድዓ ፡ ሰማያት ።

   The heavens declare the glory of Yahweh, and the firmament proclaims the work of his hands.

3. Verse 3.፫

   ዕለት ፡ ለዕለት ፡ ትጐሥዕ ፡ ነቢበ ፤ ወሌሊት ፡ ለሌሊት ፡ ታየድዕ ፡ ጥበበ ።

   Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night declares wisdom.

4. Verse 4.፬

   አልቦ ፡ ነገረ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ነቢበ ፡ ዘኢተሰምዐ ፡ ቃሎሙ ።

   There is no language and there is no speech in which their voice is not heard.

5. Verse 5.፭

   ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወፅአ ፡ ነገሮሙ ፡ ወእስከ ፡ አጽናፈ ፡ ዓለም ፡ በጽሐ ፡ ነቢቦሙ ፤ ወውስተ ፡ ፀሓይ ፡ ሤመ ፡ ጽላሎቶ ።

   Into all the earth their word has gone out, and to the ends of the world their utterance has reached; and in the sun he has set his tabernacle.

6. Verse 6.፮

   ወውእቱሰ ፡ ከመ ፡ መርዓዊ ፡ ዘይወፅእ ፡ እምጽርሑ ፤ ይትፌሣሕ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይርባሕ ፡ ዘይሜርድ ፡ ፍኖቶ ።

   And he is like a bridegroom who comes forth from his chamber; he rejoices like a giant to run his course.

7. Verse 7.፯

   እምአጽናፈ ፡ ሰማይ ፡ ሙፅኡ ፡ ወእስከ ፡ አጽናፈ ፡ ሰማይ ፡ ምእታዉ ፤ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘይትኀባእ ፡ እምላህቡ ።

   From the ends of heaven is his going out, and to the ends of heaven his returning; and there is none that hides itself from his heat.

8. Verse 8.፰

   ሕጉ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ንጹሕ ፡ ወይመይጣ ፡ ለነፍስ ፤ ስምዑ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ እሙን ፡ ዘያጠብብ ፡ ሕፃናተ ።

   The law of Yahweh is pure, and it converts the soul; the testimony of Yahweh is faithful, making little ones wise.

9. Verse 9.፱

   ኵነኔሁ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ርቱዕ ፡ ወይስተፌሥሕ ፡ ልበ ፤ ትእዛዙ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ብሩህ ፡ ወይበርህ ፡ አዕይንተ ።

   The judgments of Yahweh are upright, and they gladden the heart; the commandment of Yahweh is radiant, and it enlightens the eyes.

10. Verse 10.፲

    ፈሪሀ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ንጹሕ ፡ ወየሐዩ ፡ ለዓለም ፤ ፍትሑ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ጽድቅ ፤ ወርትዕ ፡ ኅቡረ ።

    The fear of Yahweh is pure, and it endures forever; the judgments of Yahweh are righteousness, and uprightness together.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    ወይትፈተው ፡ እምወርቅ ፡ ወእምዕንቍ ፡ ክቡር ፤ ወይጥዕም ፡ እመዓር ፡ ወሶከር ።

    And they are more to be desired than gold and than precious stone, and sweeter than honey and the honeycomb.

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    ወገብርከሰ ፡ የዐቅቦ ፤ ወበዐቂቦቱ ፡ ይትዐሰይ ፡ ብዙኀ ።

    Indeed your servant keeps them, and in keeping them there is great reward.

13. Verse 13.፲፫

    ለስሒት ፡ መኑ ፡ ይሌብዋ ፤ እምኅቡኣትየ ፡ አንጽሐኒ ። ወእምነኪር ፡ መሐኮ ፡ ለገብርከ ።

    Who can discern faults? Cleanse me from my hidden things, and from the strange ones spare your servant.

14. Verse 14.፲፬

    እመሰ ፡ ኢቀነዩኒ ፡ ውእተ ፡ ጊዜ ፡ ንጹሐ ፡ እከውን ፤ ወእነጽሕ ፡ እምዐባይ ፡ ኀጢአትየ ።

    If they do not have dominion over me, then I shall be blameless, and I shall be cleansed from my great sin.

15. Verse 15.፲፭

    ወይከውን ፡ ሥሙረ ፡ ቃለ ፡ አፉየ ፡ ወሕሊና ፡ ልብየኒ ፡ ቅድሜየ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ጊዜ ። እግዚእየ ፡ ረዳኢየ ፡ ወመድኀንየ ።

    And the words of my mouth shall be acceptable, and the meditation of my heart is before you at all times. O my Lord, my helper and my savior.
