መዝሙር ፲፮

1. Verse 1.፩

   መዝሙር ፡ ዘዳዊት ። እግዚኦ ፡ ስምዐኒ ፡ ጽድቅየ ፡ ወአፅምአኒ ፡ ስእለትየ ። ወአፅምአኒ ፡ ጸሎትየ ፤ ዘኢኮነ ፡ በከናፍረ ፡ ጕሕሉት ።

   A psalm of David. O Yahweh, hear my righteousness, and attend to my petition. And give ear to my prayer, which is not from deceitful lips.

2. Verse 2.፪

   እምቅድመ ፡ ገጽከ ፡ ይወፅእ ፡ ፍትሕየ ፤ አዕይንትየኒ ፡ ርእያ ፡ ጽድቅከ ።

   Let my judgment come forth from before your face; let my eyes behold your uprightness.

3. Verse 3.፫

   ሐወጽከኒ ፡ ሌሊተ ፡ ወፈተንኮ ፡ ለልብየ ፡ ወአመከርከኒ ፡ ወኢተረክበ ፡ ዐመፃ ፡ በላዕሌየ ።

   You have visited me by night; you have tried my heart and tested me, and no iniquity was found in me.

4. Verse 4.፬

   ከመ ፡ ኢይንብብ ፡ አፉየ ፡ ግብረ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ፡ በእንተ ፡ ቃለ ፡ ከናፍሪከ ፤

   That my mouth may not speak of the deeds of men; because of the words of your lips

5. Verse 5.፭

   አነ ፡ ዐቀብኩ ፡ ፍናወ ፡ ዕፁባተ ። አጽንዖን ፡ ለመካይድየ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ፍኖትከ ፤ ከመ ፡ ኢይድኀፃ ፡ ሰኰናየ ።

   I have kept hard ways. Make firm my steps in your paths, that my footsteps may not slip.

6. Verse 6.፮

   አንሰ ፡ ጸራኅኩ ፡ እስመ ፡ ሰምዐኒ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፤ አፅምእ ፡ እዝነከ ፡ ኀቤየ ፡ ወስምዐኒ ፡ ቃልየ ።

   As for me, I cried out, for you heard me, O Yahweh; incline your ear to me and hear my words.

7. Verse 7.፯

   ሰብሓ ፡ ለምሕረትከ ፡ ዘያድኅኖሙ ፡ ለእለ ፡ ይትዌከሉከ ፤ እምእለ ፡ ይትቃወምዋ ፡ ለየማንከ ።

   Show forth the wonders of your mercy, you who save those who hope in you from those who resist your right hand.

8. Verse 8.፰

   ዕቀበኒ ፡ ከመ ፡ ብንተ ፡ ዐይን ፤ ወበጽላሎተ ፡ ክንፊከ ፡ ክድነኒ ።

   Keep me as the apple of the eye; and shelter me under the shadow of your wings,

9. Verse 9.፱

   እምገጸ ፡ ኃጥኣን ፡ እለ ፡ ያኀስሩኒ ፤ ጸላእትየሰ ፡ አስተሐየጽዋ ፡ ለነፍስየ ።

   from the face of the wicked who oppress me; my enemies have surrounded my soul.

10. Verse 10.፲

    ወቈጸሩ ፡ አማዑቶሙ ፤ ወነበበ ፡ ትዕቢተ ፡ አፉሆሙ ።

    They have shut up their fat; their mouth has spoken pride.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    ሰደዱኒ ፡ ይእዜኒ ፡ ዐገቱኒ ፤ ወአትሐቱ ፡ አዕይንቲሆሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ።

    They cast me out, and now they have encircled me; they have set their eyes to cast [me] down to the ground.

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    ወተመጠዉኒ ፡ ከመ ፡ አንበሳ ፡ ዘጽኑሕ ፡ ለመሲጥ ፤ ወከመ ፡ እጓለ ፡ አንበሳ ፡ ዘይነብር ፡ ተኀቢኦ ።

    They seized me like a lion ready for the prey, and like a lion's whelp lurking in hiding.

13. Verse 13.፲፫

    ተንሥአ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ በጽሖሙ ፡ ወአዕቅጾሙ ፤ ወበልሓ ፡ እምኲናት ፡ ለነፍስየ ። ሰይፍከ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ፀረ ፡ እዴከ ፤

    Arise, O Yahweh, confront them and overthrow them; deliver my soul from the sword, your sword upon the enemies of your hand.

14. Verse 14.፲፬

    እግዚኦ ፡ እምውኁዳን ፡ ምድር ፡ ንፍቆሙ ፡ በሕይወቶሙ ፤ እምኅቡኣቲከ ፡ ጸግበት ፡ ከርሦሙ ። ጸግቡ ፡ ደቂቆሙ ፡ ወኀደጉ ፡ ትራፋቲሆሙ ፡ ለሕፃናቲሆሙ ።

    O Yahweh, cut them off from the few of the earth in their lifetime; their belly is filled from your hidden stores. Their children are filled, and they leave their remnant to their little ones.

15. Verse 15.፲፭

    ወአንሰ ፡ በጽድቅከ ፡ እሬኢ ፡ ገጸከ፤ ወእጸግብ ፡ በርእየ ፡ ስብሐቲከ ።

    But as for me, in righteousness I will behold your face; I will be satisfied when I see your glory.
