  1. Verse 1.

    ሥርዐተ ፡ አርአያ ፡ መጽሐፍ ፡ ዘዳዊት ። ዕቀበኒ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኪያከ ፡ ተወከልኩ ።

    An inscription of a memorial, of David. Keep me, O Yahweh, for in you I have trusted.

  2. Verse 2.

    እብሉ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ እግዚእየ ፡ አንተ ፤ እስመ ፡ ኢትፈቅዳ ፡ ለሠናይትየ ፡

    I said to Yahweh, You are my Lord; for you have no need of my good things.

  3. Verse 3.

    ለቅዱሳን ፡ እለ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፤ ተሰብሐ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ሥምረትከ ፡ በላዕሌሆሙ ።

    As for the saints who are in the land, all your delight in them is glorified.

  4. Verse 4.

    በዝኀ ፡ ደዌሆሙ ፡ ወእምዝ ፡ አስፋጠኑ ፤ ወኢይትኃበር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ማኅበሮሙ ፡ ዘደም ፡ ወኢይዜከር ፡ አስማቲሆሙ ፡ በአፉየ ።

    Their infirmities were multiplied; thereafter they hastened. I will not gather their assemblies of blood, nor will I make mention of their names with my lips.

  5. Verse 5.

    እግዚአብሔር ፡ መክፈልተ ፡ ርስትየ ፡ ወጽዋዕየ ፤ አንተ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዘታገብአ ፡ ሊተ ፡ ርስትየ ።

    Yahweh is the portion of my inheritance and of my cup; you are he who restores my inheritance to me.

  6. Verse 6.

    አሕባለ ፡ ወረው ፡ ሊተ ፡ የአኅዙኒ ፤ ወርስትየሰ ፡ እኁዝ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ሊተ ።

    The lines have fallen to me [in the strongest places]; and my inheritance is held fast for me.

  7. Verse 7.

    እባርኮ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘአለበወኒ ፤ ወዐዲ ፡ ሌሊተኒ ፡ ገሠጻኒ ፡ ኵልያትየ ።

    I will bless Yahweh who has instructed me; and even by night my reins have chastened me.

  8. Verse 8.

    ዘልፈ ፡ እሬእዮ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ቅድሜየ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ጊዜ ፤ እስመ ፡ በየማንየ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይትሀወክ ።

    I beheld Yahweh always before me; for he is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken.

  9. Verse 9.

    በእንተዝ ፡ ተፈሥሐ ፡ ልብየ ፡ ወተሐሥየ ፡ ልሳንየ ፤ ወዐዲ ፡ በተስፋሁ ፡ ኀደረ ፡ ሥጋየ ።

    Therefore my heart rejoiced and my tongue was glad; and moreover my flesh shall dwell in hope.

  10. Verse 10.

    እስመ ፡ ኢተኀድጋ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሲኦል ፡ ለነፍስየ ፤ ወኢትሁቦ ፡ ለጻድቅከ ፡ ይርአይ ፡ ሙስና ።

    For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, nor will you give your holy one to see corruption.

  11. Verse 11.

    ወአርአይከኒ ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ ሕይወት ፤ ወአጽገብከኒ ፡ ሐሤተ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ገጽከ ፡ ወትፍሥሕት ፡ ውስተ ፡ የማንከ ፡ ለዝሉፉ ።

    You have made known to me the ways of life; you have filled me with gladness with your countenance; delight is at your right hand forever.
