መዝሙር ፻፵፪

1. Verse 1.፩

   መዝሙር ፡ ዘዳዊት ፤ ዘአመ ፡ ይሰዶ ፡ ወልዱ ። እግዚኦ ፡ ስምዐኒ ፡ ጸሎትየ ፡ ወአፅምአኒ ፡ ስእለትየ ፡ በጽድቅከ ፤ ወስምዐኒ ፡ በርትዕከ ።

   A psalm of David, when his son pursued him. O Yahweh, hear my prayer, and give ear to my supplication in your faithfulness; and answer me in your righteousness.

2. Verse 2.፪

   ወኢትባእ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቅሥት ፡ ምስለ ፡ ገብርከ ፤ እስመ ፡ ኢይጸድቅ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ሕያው ፡ በቅድሜከ ።

   And do not enter into judgment with your servant, for no living one shall be justified before you.

3. Verse 3.፫

   እስመ ፡ ሮዳ ፡ ጸላኢ ፡ ለነፍስየ ፡

   For the enemy has pursued my soul,

   ወኣኅሰራ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ለሕይወትየ ፤ ወአንበሩኒ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ጽልመት ፡ ከመ ፡ ምዉተ ፡ ትካት ። ወቀብጸተኒ ፡ በፍስየ ፡ በላዕሌየ ፤ ወደንገፀኒ ፡ ልብየ ፡ በውስጥየ ።

   and he has crushed my life to the ground; they have set me in darkness like those long dead. And my spirit fainted within me, and my heart was dismayed within me.

5. Verse 5.፭

   ወተዘከርኩ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ ትካት ፡ ወአንበብኩ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ግብርከ ፤ ወአንብብ ፡ ግብረ ፡ እደቂከ ።

   And I remembered the days of old, and I meditated on all your works; and I will reflect on the works of your hands.

6. Verse 6.፮

   ወአንሣእኩ ፡ እደውየ ፡ ኀቤከ ፤ ነፍስየኒ ፡ ከመ ፡ ምድረ ፡ በድው ፡ ጸምአተከ ።

   And I stretched out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land.

7. Verse 7.፯

   ፍጡነ ፡ ስምዐኒ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ኀለፈት ፡ ነፍስየ ፤ ወኢትሚጥ ፡ ገጸከ ፡ እምኔየ ፤ ወኢይኩን ፡ ከመ ፡ እለ ፡ ይወርዱ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ዐዘቅት ።

   Quickly hear me, O Yahweh, my spirit has failed; and do not turn your face from me, lest I become like those who go down into the pit.

8. Verse 8.፰

   ዘይሰማዕ ፡ ግበር ፡ ሊተ ፡ ምሕረትከ ፡ በጽባሕ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኪያከ ፡ ተወከልኩ ፡ እግዚኦ ፤ ምርሐኒ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ እንተ ፡ ባቲ ፡ አሐውር ፤ እስመ ፡ ኀቤከ ፡ አንቃዕደኩ ፡ ነፍስየ ።

   Let me hear your mercy in the morning, for in you I have trusted, O Yahweh; show me, O Yahweh, the way in which I should walk, for to you I have lifted up my soul.

9. Verse 9.፱

   አድኅነኒ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ እምፀርየ ፤ እስመ ፡ ኀቤከ ፡ ተማኅፀንኩ ።

   Deliver me, O Yahweh, from my foes, for in you I have taken refuge.

10. Verse 10.፲

    ምህረኒ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ለገቢረ ፡ ፈቃድከ ፡ እስመ ፡ አምላኪየ ፡ አንተ ፤ ወመንፈስከ ፡ ቅዱስ ፡ ይምርሐኒ ፡ በምድረ ፡ ጽድቅ ።

    Teach me, O Yahweh, to do your will, for you are my God; and let your good spirit lead me in the land of righteousness.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    በእንተ ፡ ስምከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ኣሕይወኒ ፡ በጽድቅከ ፡ ወአውፅኣ ፡ እምንዳቤሃ ፡ ለነፍስየ ።

    For your name's sake, O Yahweh, give me life; in your righteousness bring my soul out of its distress.

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    ወበሥምረትከ ፡ ሠርዎሙ ፡ ለፀርየ ፤ ወታጠፍኦሙ ፡ ለኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ያሐምዋ ፡ ለነፍስየ ፡ እስመ ፡ አነ ፡ ገብርከ ።

    And in your good pleasure destroy my foes; and wipe out all those who afflict my soul, for I am your servant.
