መዝሙር ፻፴፱

1. Verse 1.፩

   ፍጻሜ ፡ መዝሙር ፡ ዘዳዊት ።

   The conclusion of a psalm of David.

2. Verse 2.፪

   አድኅነኒ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ እምብእሲ ፡ እኩይ ፤ ወእምሰብእ ፡ ዐመፂ ፡ ባልሐኒ ።

   Deliver me, O Yahweh, from the evil man; and from the man of iniquity rescue me.

3. Verse 3.፫

   እለ ፡ ዐመፃ ፡ መከሩ ፡ በልቦሙ ፤ ኵሎ ፡ አሚረ ፡ ይረውዱኒ ፡ ይቅትሉኒ ።

   those who devised iniquity in their heart; all day long they make war upon me to kill me.

4. Verse 4.፬

   ወአብልኁ ፡ ልሳኖሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ አርዌ ፡ ምድር ፤ ሕምዘ ፡ አርዌ ፡ ምድር ፡ ታሕተ ፡ ከናፍሪሆሙ ።

   They sharpened their tongue like a serpent; the venom of a serpent is under their lips.

5. Verse 5.፭

   ዕቅበኒ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ እምእደ ፡ ኃጥኣን ፡ ወእምብእሲ ፡ ዐመፂ ፡ አድኅነኒ ፤ እለ ፡ መከሩ ፡ ያዕቅጹ ፡ መከየድየ ።

   Guard me, O Yahweh, from the hand of the wicked, and from the man of iniquity deliver me; those who devised to overthrow my steps.

6. Verse 6.፮

   ወኀብኡ ፡ ሊተ ፡ መሥገርተ ፡ ዕቡያን ፤ ወሠተሩ ፡ አሕባለ ፡ መሣግር ፡ ለእገርየ ፤ ወአንበሩ ፡ ዕቅፍተ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ፍኖትየ ።

   The proud have hidden a snare for me, and they have spread cords as nets for my feet, and they have set a stumbling-block in my path.

7. Verse 7.፯

   ወእቤሎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላኪየ ፡ አንተ ፤ ወአፅምአኒ ፡ ቃለ ፡ ስእለትየ ።

   And I said to Yahweh, You are my God; give ear, O Yahweh, to the voice of my supplication.

8. Verse 8.፰

   እግዚኦ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ኀይለ ፡ መድኀኒትየ ፤ ሰወርከኒ ፡ በዕለተ ፡ ቀትል ፡ መልዕልተ ፡ ርእስየ ።

   O Yahweh, O Yahweh, the strength of my salvation; you sheltered my head in the day of battle.

9. Verse 9.፱

   ኢትመጥወኒ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ እምፍትወትየ ፡ ለኃጥኣን ፤ ተማከሩ ፡ ላዕሌየ ፡ ወኢትኅድገኒ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይዘሀሩ ።

   Do not hand me over, O Yahweh, to my craving for the wicked; they plotted against me, and do not forsake me, lest they exult.

10. Verse 10.፲

    ርእሰ ፡ ማዕገቶሙ ፡ ወጻማ ፡ ከናፍሪሆሙ ፡ ይድፍኖሙ ።

    The chief of their conspiracy, even the trouble of their lips, let it cover them.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    ወይደቅ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፡ አፍሓመ ፡ እሳት ፤ ትንፅኆሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ በምንዳበ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይክሀሉ ፡ ቀዊመ ።

    And let coals of fire fall upon them; cast them into the earth in misery, that they may not be able to stand.

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    ብእሲ ፡ ነባቢ ፡ ኢያረትዕ ፡ በዲበ ፡ ምድር ፤ ወለብእሲ ፡ ዐማፂ ፡ ትንዕዎ ፡ እኪት ፡ ለአማስኖ ።

    A man of slanderous tongue shall not prosper upon the earth; evil shall hunt down the man of iniquity to destroy him.

13. Verse 13.፲፫

    ኣእመርኩ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይገብር ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ኵነኔ ፡ ለነዳያን ፤ ወፍትሐ ፡ ለምስኪናን ።

    I know that Yahweh will execute judgment for the needy, and justice for the poor.

14. Verse 14.፲፬

    ወባሕቱ ፡ ጻድቃን ፡ ይገንዩ ፡ ለስምከ ፤ ወይነብሩ ፡ ራትዓን ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ገጽከ ።

    Yet the righteous shall give thanks to your name, and the upright shall dwell before your face.
