መዝሙር ፻፴፰

1. Verse 1.፩

   ፍጻሜ ፡ መዝሙር ፡ ዘዳዊት ። እግዚኦ ፡ አመከርከኒ ፡ ወኣእመርከኒ ።

   The conclusion of a psalm of David. O Yahweh, you have tested me and known me.

2. Verse 2.፪

   አንተ ፡ ታአምር ፡ ንብረትየ ፡ ወተንሥኦትየ ፤ ወአንተ ፡ ታአምር ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ሕሊና ፡ ልብየ ፡ እምርሑቅ ።

   You know my sitting down and my rising up; and you know all the thoughts of my heart from afar.

3. Verse 3.፫

   ፍኖትየ ፡ ወአሰርየ ፡ አንተ ፡ ቀጻዕከ ፤ ወኵሉ ፡ ፍናውየ ፡ አንተ ፡ አቅደምከ ፡ ኣእምሮ ።

   My path and my track you have marked out, and all my ways you have foreknown.

4. Verse 4.፬

   ከመ ፡ አልቦ ፡ ቃለ ፡ ዐመፃ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ልሳንየ ፤

   for there is no false word upon my tongue;

5. Verse 5.፭

   ናሁ ፡ አንተ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ኣእመርከ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘቀዳሚ ፡ ወዘደኃሪ ። አንተ ፡ ፈጠርከኒ ፡ ወወደይከ ፡ እዴከ ፡ ላዕሌየ ።

   Behold, you, O Yahweh, have known all things, the first and the last. You formed me, and you laid your hand upon me.

6. Verse 6.፮

   ተነክረ ፡ ኣእምሮትከ ፡ በላዕሌየ ፤ ጸንዐተኒ ፡ ወኢይክል ፡ ምስሌሃ ።

   Your knowledge has become wondrous to me; it is mighty, and I am not able to attain to it.

7. Verse 7.፯

   አይቴኑ ፡ አሐውር ፡ እመንፈስከ ፤ ወአይቴኑ ፡ እጐይይ ፡ እምቅድመ ፡ ገጽከ ።

   Where shall I go from your spirit, and where shall I flee from before your face?

8. Verse 8.፰

   እመኒ ፡ ዐረጉ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሰማይ ፡ ህየኒ ፡ አንተ ፤ ወእመኒ ፡ ወረድኩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቀላይ ፡ ህየኒ ፡ ሀሎከ ።

   If I ascend into heaven, you are there; and if I go down into the deep, you are present there.

9. Verse 9.፱

   ወእመኒ ፡ ነሣርኩ ፡ ክንፈ ፡ ከመ ፡ ንስር ፤ ወሠረርኩ ፡ እስከ ፡ ማሕለቅተ ፡ ባሕር ።

   And if I take up wings like an eagle, and fly to the uttermost parts of the sea,

10. Verse 10.፲

    ህየኒ ፡ እዴከ ፡ ትመርሐኒ ፤ ወታነብረኒ ፡ የማንከ ።

    there too your hand will guide me, and your right hand will hold me.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    ወእቤ ፡ ጽልመትኑ ፡ እንጋ ፡ ኬደኒ ፤ ወሌሊትኒ ፡ ብሩህ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ትፍሥሕትየ ።

    And I said, Surely darkness will tread me down; but the night also is light in my rejoicing.

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    እስመ ፡ ጽልመትኒ ፡ ኢይጸልም ፡ በኀቤከ ፤ ወሌሊትኒ ፡ ብሩህ ፡ ከመ ፡ መዐልት ፤ በአምጣነ ፡ ጽልመታ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ብርሃነ ።

    For darkness itself is not dark with you, and the night is bright as the day; according to the measure of its darkness, so is its light.

13. Verse 13.፲፫

    እስመ ፡ አንተ ፡ ፈጠርከ ፡ ኵልያትየ ፡ እግዚኦ ፤ ወተወከፍከኒ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኣእምር ።

    For you formed my reins, O Yahweh, and you received me that I might know.

14. Verse 14.፲፬

    እገኒ ፡ ለከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ እስመ ፡ ግሩመ ፡ ተሰባሕከ ፤ መንክር ፡ ግብርከ ፡ ወነፍስየ ፡ ትጤይቆ ፡ ጥቀ ።

    I give thanks to you, O Yahweh, for you are awesomely glorified; marvelous are your works, and my soul knows it well.

15. Verse 15.፲፭

    ወኢይትኀባእ ፡ እምኔከ ፡ አዕጽምትየ ፡ ዘገበርከ ፡ በኅቡእ ፤ ወኢአካልየ ፡ በመትሕት ፡ ምድር ።

    And my bones were not hidden from you, which you made in secret, nor my frame in the lowest parts of the earth.

16. Verse 16.፲፮

    ወዘሂ ፡ ኢገበርኩ ፡ ርእያ ፡ አዕይንቲከ ፡ ወኵሊ ፡ ይጸሐፍ ፡ ውስተ ፡ መጽሐፍከ ፤ መዐልተ ፡ ይትፈጠሩ ፡ ወኢይሄሉ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ እምኔሆሙ ።

    And what I had not yet done your eyes saw, and all of it is written in your book; in their days they are formed, and not one of them shall be lacking.

17. Verse 17.፲፯

    ወበኀቤየሰ ፡ ፈድፋደ ፡ ክቡራን ፡ አዕርክቲከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፤ ወፈድፋደ ፡ ጸንዑ ፡ እምቀደምቶሙ ።

    But to me your friends are exceedingly honored, O Yahweh; and exceedingly are they made strong, more than the first of them.

18. Verse 18.፲፰

    ወእኌልቆሙ ፡ እምኆፃ ፡ ይበዝኁ ፤ ተንሣእኩሂ ፡ ወዓዲ ፡ ሀሎኩ ፡ ምስሌከ ።

    I would count them, but they are more than the sand; I awoke, and I am still with you.

19. Verse 19.፲፱

    እመሰ ፡ ቀተልኮሙ ፡ ለኃጥኣን ፡ እግዚኦ ፤ ዕድወ ፡ ደም ፡ ተገሐሠ ፡ እምኔየ ።

    If only you would slay the wicked, O Yahweh; men of blood, depart from me.

20. Verse 20.፳

    እስመ ፡ ይዜሀሩ ፡ በሕሊናሆሙ ፤ ወይነሥእዎን ፡ ለአህጉሪከ ፡ በከንቱ ።

    For they boast in their thoughts, and they take up your cities in vain.

21. Verse 21.፳፩

    አኮኑ ፡ ጸላእተከ ፡ ጸላእኩ ፡ እግዚኦ ፤ ወተመንሰውኩ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ፀርከ ።

    Have I not hated those who hate you, O Yahweh, and grieved over your foes?

22. Verse 22.፳፪

    ፍጹመ ፡ ጽልአ ፡ ጸላእክዎሙ ፤ ወኮኑኒ ፡ ፀርየ ።

    With a perfect hatred I have hated them; they have become my enemies.

23. Verse 23.፳፫

    ፍትነኒ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ወአመክር ፡ ልብየ ፤ አመክረኒ ፡ ወርኢ ፡ ፍናውየ ።

    Try me, O Yahweh, and test my heart; examine me and see my ways.

24. Verse 24.፳፬

    ወርኢ ፡ እመ ፡ ትረክብ ፡ ዐመፃ ፡ በላዕሌየ ፤ ወምርሐኒ ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ ዘለዓለም ።

    And see whether you find iniquity in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.
