መዝሙር ፻፴፩

1. Verse 1.፩

   ማኅሌት ፡ ዘበመዓርጊሁ ። ተዘከሮ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ለዳዊት ፤ ወለኵሉ ፡ የዋሀቱ ።

   A Song of the Ascents. Remember David, O Yahweh, and all his meekness;

2. Verse 2.፪

   ዘከመ ፡ መሐለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፤ ወበፅአ ፡ ለአምላከ ፡ ያዕቆብ ።

   how he swore to Yahweh, and made a vow to the God of Jacob:

3. Verse 3.፫

   ከመ ፡ ኢይበውእ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ጽላሎተ ፡ ቤትየ ፤ ወከመ ፡ ኢያዐርግ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ዐራተ ፡ ምስካብየ ።

   I will not enter under the shelter of my house, nor go up upon the bed of my couch;

4. Verse 4.፬

   ከመ ፡ ኢይሁቦን ፡ ንዋመ ፡ ለአዕይንትየ ፤ ወኢድቃሰ ፡ ለቀራንብትየ ፡ ወኢዕረፍተ ፡ ለመላትሕየ ።

   I will not give sleep to my eyes, nor slumber to my eyelids, nor rest to my temples,

5. Verse 5.፭

   እስከ ፡ እረክብ ፡ መካኖ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፤ ወማኅደሮ ፡ ለአምላከ ፡ ያዕቆብ ።

   until I find a place for Yahweh, a dwelling for the God of Jacob.

6. Verse 6.፮

   ናሁ ፡ ሰማዕናሁ ፡ በኤፍራታ ፤ ወረከብናሁ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ዖመ ፡ ገዳም ።

   Behold, we heard of it in Ephratah; and we found it in the fields of the forest.

7. Verse 7.፯

   ንበውእ ፡ እንከሰ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አብያቲሁ ፤ ወንሰግድ ፡ ውስተ ፡ መካን ፡ ኀበ ፡ ቆመ ፡ እግረ ፡ እግዚእነ ።

   Let us now enter into his dwellings; and let us worship at the place where the feet of our Lord stood.

8. Verse 8.፰

   ተንሥእ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ዕረፍትከ ፤ አንተ ፡ ወታቦተ ፡ መቅደስከ ።

   Arise, O Yahweh, into your rest, you and the ark of your sanctuary.

9. Verse 9.፱

   ካህናቲከ ፡ ይለብሱ ፡ ጽድቀ ፤ ወጻድቃኒከ ፡ ትፍሥሕተ ፡ ይትፍፈሥሑ ።

   Let your priests be clothed with righteousness; and let your righteous ones rejoice with gladness.

10. Verse 10.፲

    በእንተ ፡ ዳዊት ፡ ገብርከ ፤ ወኢትሚጥ ፡ ገጸከ ፡ እመሲሕከ ።

    For the sake of David your servant, do not turn away your face from your anointed.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    መሐለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለዳዊት ፡ በጽድቅ ፡ ወኢይኔስሕ ፤ እስመ ፡ እምፍሬ ፡ ከርሥከ ፡ ኣነብር ፡ ዲበ ፡ መንበርከ ።

    Yahweh swore to David in truth, and he will not repent of it: Of the fruit of your womb I will set upon your throne.

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    ወለእመ ፡ ዐቀቡ ፡ ደቂቅከ ፡ ሕግየ ፡ ወሰምዑኒ ፡ ዘንተ ፡ ዘእሜህሮሙ ፤ ወደቂቆሙኒ ፡ እስከ ፡ ለዓለም ፤ ይበንሩ ፡ ዲበ ፡ መንበርከ ።

    And if your children keep my covenant and these my testimonies which I shall teach them, their children also forever shall sit upon your throne.

13. Verse 13.፲፫

    እስመ ፡ ኀረያ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለጽዮን ፤ ወአብደራ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትኩኖ ፡ ማኅደሮ ።

    For Yahweh has chosen Zion, and he has desired her to be his dwelling.

14. Verse 14.፲፬

    ዛቲ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ምዕራፍየ ፡ ለዓለም ፤ ዝየ ፡ አኀደር ፡ እስመ ፡ ኀረይክዋ ።

    This is my resting place forever; here I will dwell, for I have chosen her.

15. Verse 15.፲፭

    ለእቤራቲሃኒ ፡ ባርኮ ፡ እባርኮን ፤ ወለነዳያኒሃኒ ፡ ኣጸግቦሙ ፡ እክለ ።

    Blessing I will bless her widows, and I will satisfy her poor with bread.

16. Verse 16.፲፮

    ወለካህናቲሃኒ ፡ ኣለብሶሙ ፡ ሕይወተ ፤ ወጻድቃኒሃኒ ፡ ትፍሥሕተ ፡ ይትፍፌሥሑ ።

    And I will clothe her priests with life, and her righteous ones shall rejoice with gladness.

17. Verse 17.፲፯

    ወበህየ ፡ ኣበቍል ፡ ቀርነ ፡ ለዳዊት ፤ ወኣስተዳሉ ፡ ማኅቶተ ፡ ለመሲሕየ ።

    And there I will make a horn to spring up for David; I will prepare a lamp for my anointed.

18. Verse 18.፲፰

    ወኣለብሶሙ ፡ ኀፍረተ ፡ ለጸላእቱ ፤ ወቦቱ ፡ ይፈሪ ፡ ቅድሳትየ ።

    And I will clothe his enemies with shame; but upon him my sanctification shall flourish.
