መዝሙር ፻፳፩

1. Verse 1.፩

   ማኅሌት ፡ ዘበመዓርጊሁ ። ተፈሣሕኩ ፡ እስመ ፡ ይቤሉኒ ፤ ቤተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ነሐውር ።

   A Song of the Ascents. I rejoiced, because they said to me, Let us go to the house of Yahweh.

2. Verse 2.፪

   ወቆማ ፡ እገሪነ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አዕጻዲኪ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ።

   And our feet stood within your courts, O Jerusalem.

3. Verse 3.፫

   ኢየሩሳሌምሰ ፡ ሕንጽት ፡ ከመ ፡ ሀገር ፤ እለ ፡ ከማሃ ፡ ኅቡረ ፡ ምስሌሁ ።

   Jerusalem is built like a city; those who are like her are joined together with it.

4. Verse 4.፬

   እስመ ፡ ህየ ፡ ዐርጉ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ሕዝበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ስምዐ ፡ እሰአኤል ፤ ከመ ፡ ይግነዩ ፡ ለስምከ ፡ እግዚኦ ።

   For there the tribes went up, the tribes of Yahweh, a testimony for Israel, to give thanks to your name, O Yahweh.

5. Verse 5.፭

   እስመ ፡ ህየ ፡ አንበሩ ፡ መናብርቲሆሙ ፡ ለኰንኖ ፤ መናብረተ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ዳዊት ።

   For there they set up their thrones for judgment, the thrones of the house of David.

6. Verse 6.፮

   ተዘያነዉ ፡ ደኅናሃ ፡ ለኢየሩሳሌም ፤ ወፍሥሓሆሙ ፡ ለእለ ፡ ያፍቅሩ ፡ ስመከ ።

   Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; and joy be to those who love your name.

7. Verse 7.፯

   ይኩን ፡ ሰላመ ፡ በኀይልከ ፤ ወትፍሥሕት ፡ ውስተ ፡ ማኅፈደ ፡ ክበዲከ ።

   Let there be peace in your strength, and gladness within the tower of your abundance.

8. Verse 8.፰

   በእንተ ፡ አኀውየ ፡ ወቢጽየ ፤ ይትናገሩ ፡ ሰላመ ፡ በእንቲአኪ ።

   For the sake of my brothers and my companions, they shall speak peace concerning you.

9. Verse 9.፱

   ወበእንተ ፡ ቤተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላኪየ ፡ ኀሠሥኩ ፡ ሠናይተኪ ።

   And for the sake of the house of Yahweh my God, I have sought your good.
