መዝሙር ፻፲፫

1. Verse 1.፩

   ሀሌሉያ ። አመ ፡ ይወፅኡ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ እምግብጽ ፤ ወቤተ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ እምሕዝበ ፡ ፀር ።

   Hallelujah. When Israel went out from Egypt, and the house of Jacob from a people of adversaries,

2. Verse 2.፪

   ወኮነ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ መቅደሶ ፤ ወእስራኤልኒ ፡ ምኵናኖ ።

   then Judah became his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.

3. Verse 3.፫

   ባሕርኒ ፡ ርእየት ፡ ወጐየት ፤ ወዮርዳኖስኒ ፡ ገብአ ፡ ድኅሬሁ ።

   The sea saw it and fled; and the Jordan turned back behind it.

4. Verse 4.፬

   ወአድባር ፡ አንፈርዐጹ ፡ ከመ ፡ ሐራጊት ፤ ወአውግርኒ ፡ ከመ ፡ መሓስአ ፡ አባግዕ ፤

   And the mountains leaped like rams, and the hills like the lambs of the sheep.

5. Verse 5.፭

   ምንተ ፡ ኮንኪ ፡ ባሕር ፡ ዘጐየይኪ ፤ ወአንተኒ ፡ ዮርዳኖስ ፡ ዘገባእከ ፡ ድኅሬከ ።

   What was it with you, O sea, that you fled? And you, O Jordan, that you turned back behind you?

6. Verse 6.፮

   ወአድባር ፡ ዘአንፈርዐጽክሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ሐራጊት ፤ ወአውግርኒ ፡ ከመ ፡ መሓስአ ፡ አባግዕ ፤

   And you mountains, that you leaped like rams, and the hills like the lambs of the sheep?

7. Verse 7.፯

   እምቅድመ ፡ ገጹ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አድለቅለቀት ፡ ምድር ፤ እምቅድመ ፡ ገጹ ፡ ለአምላከ ፡ ያዕቆብ ።

   Before the face of Yahweh the earth trembled, before the face of the God of Jacob,

8. Verse 8.፰

   ዘይሬስያ ፡ ለኰኵሕ ፡ አንቅዕተ ፡ ማያት ፤ ወለእዝኅ ፡ ዐዘቃተ ፡ ማያት ።

   who turns the rock into pools of waters, and the flint into springs of waters.

9. Verse 9.፱

   አኮ ፡ ለነ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ አኮ ፡ ለነ ፤ ለስመ ፡ ዚአከ ፡ ሀብ ፡ ስብሐተ ፤

   Not to us, O Yahweh, not to us, but to your own name give glory,

10. Verse 10.፲

    በምሕረትከ ፡ ወበጽድቅከ ። ከመ ፡ ኢይበሉነ ፡ አሕዛብ ፤ አይቴ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ አምላኮሙ ።

    for your mercy and for your truth; lest the nations say to us, Where is their God?

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    አምላክነሰ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሰማይ ፡ ላዕለ ፤ በሰማይኒ ፡ ወበምድርኒ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘፈቀደ ፡ ገብረ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።

    But our God is in heaven above; in heaven and on earth, all that he willed Yahweh has done.

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    አማልክቲሆሙ ፡ ለአሕዛብ ፡ ዘወርቅ ፡ ወብሩር ፤ ግብረ ፡ እደ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ።

    The gods of the nations are silver and gold, the work of the hands of the children of men.

13. Verse 13.፲፫

    አፈ ፡ ቦሙ ፡ ወኢይነቡ ፤ ዐይነ ፡ ቦሙ ፡ ወኢይሬእዩ ።

    They have mouths, but they do not speak; they have eyes, but they do not see.

14. Verse 14.፲፬

    እዝነ ፡ ቦሙ ፡ ወኢይሰምዑ ፤ አንፈ ፡ ቦሙ ፡ ወኢያጼንዉ ።

    They have ears, but they do not hear; they have noses, but they do not smell.

15. Verse 15.፲፭

    እደ ፡ ቦሙ ፡ ወኢይገሱ ፤ እግረ ፡ ቦሙ ፡ ወኢየሐውሩ ፤ ወኢይነቡ ፡ በጐራዒቶሙ ። ወአልቦሙ ፡ መንፈሰ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አፉሆሙ ።

    They have hands, but they do not touch; they have feet, but they do not walk; nor do they speak in their throats. And there is no breath in their mouths.

16. Verse 16.፲፮

    ከማሆሙ ፡ ለይኩኑ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ገብርዎሙ ፤ ወኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ይትዌከሉ ፡ ቦሙ ።

    Let those who make them become like them, and all who trust in them.

17. Verse 17.፲፯

    ቤተ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ተወከሉ ፡ በእግዚአብሔር ፤ ረዳኢሆሙ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ወምእመኖሙ ።

    House of Israel, trust in Yahweh; he is their helper and their defender.

18. Verse 18.፲፰

    ቤተ ፡ አሮን ፡ ተወከሉ ፡ በእግዚአብሔር ፤ ረዳኢሆሙ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ወምእመኖሙ ።

    House of Aaron, trust in Yahweh; he is their helper and their defender.

19. Verse 19.፲፱

    እለ ፡ ትፈርህዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ተወከሉ ፡ በእግዚአብሔር ፤ ረዳኢሆሙ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ወምእመኖሙ ።

    You who fear Yahweh, trust in Yahweh; he is their helper and their defender.

20. Verse 20.፳

    እግዚአብሔር ፡ ተዘከረነ ፡ ወባረከነ ፤ ባርክ ፡ ቤተ ፡ እስራኤል ፤ ወባርክ ፡ ቤተ ፡ አሮን ።

    Yahweh has remembered us and blessed us; he has blessed the house of Israel, and he has blessed the house of Aaron.

21. Verse 21.፳፩

    ባርኮሙ ፡ ለኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ይፈርህዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፤ ለንኡሶሙ ፡ ወለዐቢዮሙ ።

    He has blessed all who fear Yahweh, the small among them and the great among them.

22. Verse 22.፳፪

    ይዌስክ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ላዕሌክሙ ፤ ላዕሌክሙ፡ ወላዕለ ፡ ውሉድክሙ ።

    May Yahweh increase you, you and your children.

23. Verse 23.፳፫

    ብሩካን ፡ አንትሙ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፤ ዘገብረ ፡ ሰማየ ፡ ወምድረ ።

    Blessed are you of Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.

24. Verse 24.፳፬

    ሰማየ ፡ ሰማያት ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፤ ወምድረሰ ፡ ወሀበ ፡ ለእጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ።

    The heaven of heavens belongs to Yahweh; but the earth he has given to the children of men.

25. Verse 25.፳፭

    ዘአኮ ፡ ምዉታን ፡ ይሴብሑከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፤ ወኢኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ይወርዱ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሲኦል ።

    The dead shall not praise you, O Yahweh, nor any who go down into Sheol.

26. Verse 26.፳፮

    ንሕነ ፡ ሐያዋን ፡ ንባርኮ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፤ እምይእዜ ፡ ወእስከ ፡ ለዓለም ።

    But we who are living will bless Yahweh, from now and forever.
