መዝሙር ፻፲፩

1. Verse 1.፩

   ሀሌሉያ ። ብፁዕ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ዘይፈርሆ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፤ ወዘይፈቅድ ፡ ትእዛዞ ፡ ፈድፋደ ።

   Hallelujah. Blessed is the man who fears Yahweh, and who greatly desires his commandments.

2. Verse 2.፪

   ወይከውን ፡ ጽኑዐ ፡ ዘርዑ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፤ ትውልደ ፡ ጻድቃን ፡ ይትባረኩ ።

   And his seed shall be mighty upon the earth; the generation of the righteous shall be blessed.

3. Verse 3.፫

   ክብር ፡ ወብዕል ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቤቱ ፤ ወጽድቁኒ ፡ ይነብር ፡ ለዓለመ ፡ ዓለም ።

   Glory and riches are in his house; and his righteousness abides forever and ever.

4. Verse 4.፬

   ሠረቀ ፡ ብርሃን ፡ ለራትዓን ፡ በውስተ ፡ ጽልመት ፤ መሓሪ ፡ ወመስተሣህል ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወጻድቅ ፡ አምላክነ ።

   Light has risen for the upright in the midst of darkness; merciful and compassionate is Yahweh, and righteous is our God.

5. Verse 5.፭

   ብእሲ ፡ መሓሪ ፡ መስተሣህል ፡ ወኄር ፤ ወይዔቅም ፡ ቃሎ ፡ በውስተ ፡ ፍትሕ ።

   A man who is merciful, compassionate, and good; and he orders his words in justice.

6. Verse 6.፮

   ወኢይትሀወክ ፡ ለዓለም ፤ ዝክረ ፡ ጻድቅ ፡ ለዓለም ፡ ይሄሉ ።

   And he shall not be shaken forever; the memory of the righteous shall endure forever.

7. Verse 7.፯

   ወኢይፈርህ ፡ እምነገር ፡ እኩይ ፤ ጥቡዕ ፡ ልቡ ፡ ለተወክሎ ፡ በእግዚአብሔር ።

   And he shall not fear an evil report; his heart is firm to trust in Yahweh.

8. Verse 8.፰

   ጽኑዕ ፡ ልቡ ፡ ወኢይትሀወክ ፡ ለዓለም ፤ እስከ ፡ ይሬኢ ፡ በጸላእቱ ።

   His heart is steadfast and shall not be shaken forever, until he looks upon his enemies.

9. Verse 9.፱

   ዘረወ ፡ ወወሀበ ፡ ለነዳይ ፡ ወጽድቁኒ ፡ ይነብር ፡ ለዓለመ ፡ ዓለም ፤ ወይትሌዐል ፡ ቀርኑ ፡ በክብር ።

   He has scattered abroad and given to the poor, and his righteousness abides forever and ever; and his horn shall be exalted in glory.

10. Verse 10.፲

    ይሬኢ ፡ ኃጥእ ፡ ወይትመዓዕ ፡ ወይሐቂ ፡ ስነኒሁ ፡ ወይትመሰው ፤ ወተኀልቅ ፡ ፍትወቶሙ ፡ ለኃጥኣን ፡፡

    The sinner shall see it and be angry; he shall gnash his teeth and waste away; and the desire of sinners shall perish.
