መዝሙር ፻፭

1. Verse 1.፩

   ሀሌሉያ ። ግኔዩ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ እስመ ፡ ኄር ፤ እስመ ፡ ለዓለም ፡ ምሕረቱ ።

   Halleluyah. Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good; for his mercy endures forever.

2. Verse 2.፪

   መኑ ፡ ይነግር ፡ ኀይለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፤ ወይገብር ፡ ከመ ፡ ይስማዕ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ስብሐቲሁ ።

   Who shall declare the might of Yahweh, and make all his praise to be heard?

3. Verse 3.፫

   ብፁዓን ፡ እለ ፡ የዐቅቡ ፡ ፍትሐ ፤ ወይገብሩ ፡ ጽድቀ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ጊዜ ።

   Blessed are they who keep judgment, and who do righteousness at all times.

4. Verse 4.፬

   ተዘከረነ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ብሣህልከ ፡ ሕዝበከ ፤ ወተሣሀለነ ፡ በአድኅኖትከ ።

   Remember us, O Yahweh, in the favor you bear your people; and visit us with your salvation,

5. Verse 5.፭

   ከመ ፡ ንርአይ ፡ ሠናይቶሙ ፡ ለኅሩያኒከ ፤ ወከመ ፡ ንትፈሣሕ ፡ በፍሥሓ ፡ ሕዝብከ ፤ ወከመ ፡ ንክበር ፡ ምስለ ፡ ርስትከ ።

   that we may see the good things of your chosen ones, and that we may rejoice in the gladness of your people, and that we may glory together with your inheritance.

6. Verse 6.፮

   አበስነ ፡ ምስለ ፡ አበዊነ ፤ ዐመፅነ ፡ ወጌገይነ ።

   We have sinned together with our fathers; we have done iniquity and have transgressed.

7. Verse 7.፯

   ወአበዊነሂ ፡ በብሔረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ኢያእመሩ ፡ መንክረከ ፤ ወኢተዘከሩ ፡ ብዝኀ ፡ ምሕረትከ ፤ ወአምረሩከ ፡ አመ ፡ የዐርጉ ፡ ባሕረ ፡ ኤርትራ ።

   And our fathers also, in the land of Egypt, did not understand your wonders; neither did they remember the abundance of your mercy; and they provoked you when they went up by the Red Sea.

8. Verse 8.፰

   ወአድኀኖሙ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ስሙ ፤ ከመ ፡ ያርእዮሙ ፡ ኀይሎ ።

   Yet he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his might known to them.

9. Verse 9.፱

   ወገሠጻ ፡ ለባሕረ ፡ ኤርትራ ፡ ወየብሰት ፤ ወመርሖሙ ፡ በቀላይ ፡ ከመ ፡ ዘበገዳም ።

   And he rebuked the Red Sea, and it was dried up; and he led them through the deep as through a wilderness.

10. Verse 10.፲

    ወአድኀኖሙ ፡ እምእደ ፡ ጸላእቶሙ ፤ ወአንገፎሙ ፡ እምእደ ፡ ፀሮሙ ።

    And he saved them from the hand of those who hated them; and he redeemed them from the hand of their enemies.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    ወደፈኖሙ ፡ ማይ ፡ ለእለ ፡ ሮድዎሙ ፤ ወኢተርፈ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ እምውስቴቶሙ ።

    And the water covered over those who pursued them; and not one of them was left.

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    ወተአመኑ ፡ በቃሉ ፤ ወሰብሕዎ ፡ በስብሐቲሁ ።

    Then they trusted in his word; and they praised him with his praise.

13. Verse 13.፲፫

    ወአፍጠኑ ፡ ረሲዐ ፡ ምግባሩ ፤ ወኢተዐገሡ ፡ በምክሩ ።

    But they quickly forgot his works; and they did not wait for his counsel.

14. Verse 14.፲፬

    ወፈተዉ ፡ ፍትወተ ፡ በገዳም ፤ ወአምረርዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ በበድው ።

    And they lusted with lust in the wilderness; and they provoked Yahweh in the desert.

15. Verse 15.፲፭

    ወወሀቦሙ ፡ ዘሰአሉ ፤ ወገነወ ፡ ጽጋበ ፡ ለነፍሶሙ ።

    And he gave them what they asked; and he sent satiety into their soul.

16. Verse 16.፲፮

    ወአምዕዕዎ ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ በትዕይንት ፤ ወለአሮን ፡ ቅዱሰ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።

    And they angered Moses in the camp, and Aaron the holy one of Yahweh.

17. Verse 17.፲፯

    ወአብቀወት ፡ ምድር ፡ ወውኅጠቶ ፡ ለዳታን ፤ ወደፈነቶሙ ፡ ለተዓይነ ፡ አቤሮን ።

    And the earth opened and swallowed up Dathan; and it covered over the company of Abiron.

18. Verse 18.፲፰

    ወነደ ፡ እሳት ፡ ውስተ ፡ ተዓይንቲሆሙ ፤ ወአውዐዮሙ ፡ ነበልባል ፡ ለኃጥኣን ።

    And fire blazed up in their camp; the flame consumed the sinners.

19. Verse 19.፲፱

    ወገብሩ ፡ ላህመ ፡ በኮሬብ ፤ ወሰገዱ ፡ ለግልፎ ።

    And they made a calf in Horeb; and they bowed down to the graven image.

20. Verse 20.፳

    ወወለጡ ፡ ክብሮሙ ፤ በአምሳለ ፡ ላህም ፡ ዘይትረዐይ ፡ ሣዕረ ።

    And they exchanged their glory for the likeness of an ox that feeds on grass.

21. Verse 21.፳፩

    ወረስዕዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘአድኅኖሙ ፤ ዘገብረ ፡ ዐቢያተ ፡ በግብጽ ።

    And they forgot Yahweh who had saved them, who had done great things in Egypt,

22. Verse 22.፳፪

    ወመንክረ ፡ በምድረ ፡ ካም ፤ ወግሩመ ፡ በባሕረ ፡ ኤርትራ ።

    and wonders in the land of Ham, and terrible things at the Red Sea.

23. Verse 23.፳፫

    ወይቤ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይሠርዎሙ ፤ ሶበ ፡ አኮ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ኅሩዮ ፡ ቆመ ፡ ቅድሜሁ ፡ አመ ፡ ብድብድ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይሚጥ ፡ መቅሠፍተ ፡ መዐቱ ፡ ወከመ ፡ ኢይሠርዎሙ ።

    And he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen one stood before him in the time of the plague, to turn away the scourge of his wrath, so that he should not destroy them.

24. Verse 24.፳፬

    ወመነኑ ፡ ምድረ ፡ መፍትወ ፤ ወኢተአመኑ ፡ በቃሉ ።

    And they despised the desirable land; and they did not trust in his word.

25. Verse 25.፳፭

    ወአንጐርጐሩ ፡ በውስተ ፡ ተዓይኒሆሙ ፤ ወኢሰምዑ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።

    And they murmured within their tents; and they did not hearken to the voice of Yahweh.

26. Verse 26.፳፮

    ወአንሥአ ፡ እዴሁ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፤ ከመ ፡ ይንፅኆሙ ፡ በገዳም ።

    So he lifted up his hand against them, to cast them down in the wilderness,

27. Verse 27.፳፯

    ወከመ ፡ ይንፃኅ ፡ ዘርዖሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አሕዛብ ፤ ወከመ ፡ ይዝርዎሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ በሓውርት ።

    and to scatter their seed among the nations, and to disperse them throughout the lands.

28. Verse 28.፳፰

    ወተፈጸሙ ፡ በብዔል ፡ ፌጎር ፤ ወበልዑ ፡ መሥዋዕተ ፡ ምዉተ ።

    And they were joined to Baal-Peor; and they ate the sacrifices of the dead.

29. Verse 29.፳፱

    ወወሐክዎ ፡ በምግባሪሆሙ ፤ ወበዝኀ ፡ ብድብድ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ።

    And they provoked him with their deeds; and the plague was multiplied upon them.

30. Verse 30.፴

    ወተንሥአ ፡ ፊንሐስ ፡ ወአድኀኖሙ ፤ ወኀደገ ፡ ብድብድ ።

    Then Phinehas arose and saved them; and the plague ceased.

31. Verse 31.፴፩

    ወተኈለቀ ፡ ጽድቅ ፤ ልትውልደ ፡ ትውልድ ፡ ወእስከ ፡ ለዓለም ።

    And it was counted to him as righteousness, from generation to generation, and even forever.

32. Verse 32.፴፪

    ወአምዕዕዎ ፡ በኀበ ፡ ማየ ፡ ቅሥት ፤ ወሐመ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ በእንቲአሆሙ ።

    And they angered him at the water of Strife; and Moses suffered for their sake.

33. Verse 33.፴፫

    እስመ ፡ አምረርዋ ፡ ለነፍሱ ፤ ወአዘዘ ፡ በከናፍሪሁ ።

    For they embittered his soul; and he spoke with his lips.

34. Verse 34.፴፬

    ወኢሠረዉ ፡ አሕዛበ ፡ ዘይቤሎሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።

    And they did not destroy the nations of which Yahweh had told them.

35. Verse 35.፴፭

    ወተደመሩ ፡ ምስለ ፡ አሕዛብ ፤ ወተመሀሩ ፡ ምግባሮሙ ።

    And they mingled with the nations; and they learned their deeds.

36. Verse 36.፴፮

    ወተቀንዩ ፡ ለግልፎሆሙ ፤ ወኮኖሙ ፡ ጌጋየ ።

    And they served their graven images; and it became to them a stumbling.

37. Verse 37.፴፯

    ወዘብሑ ፡ ደቂቆሙ ፡ ወአዋልዲሆሙ ፡ ለአጋንንት ።

    And they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons.

38. Verse 38.፴፰

    ወከዐዉ ፡ ደመ ፡ ንጹሐ ፡ ደመ ፡ ደቂቆሙ ፡ ወአዋልዲሆሙ ፤ ወሦዑ ፡ ለግልፎ ፡ ከናዐን ፤ ወተቀትለት ፡ ምድር ፡ በደም ።

    And they shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the graven images of Canaan; and the land was defiled with blood.

39. Verse 39.፴፱

    ወረኵሰት ፡ ምድር ፡ በምግባሪሆሙ ፤ ወዘመዉ ፡ በጣዖቶሙ ።

    And the land was made unclean by their deeds; and they played the harlot with their idols.

40. Verse 40.፵

    ወተምዕዐ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ መዐተ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ሕዝቡ ፤ ወአስቆረሮሙ ፡ ለርስቱ ።

    So Yahweh was angry with wrath against his people; and he abhorred his inheritance.

41. Verse 41.፵፩

    ወአግብኦሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እደ ፡ ፀሮሙ ፤ ወቀነይዎሙ ፡ ጸላእቶሙ ።

    And he delivered them into the hand of their enemies; and those who hated them ruled over them.

42. Verse 42.፵፪

    ወአሕመምዎሙ ፡ ፀሮሙ ፤ ወኀስሩ ፡ በታሕተ ፡ እደዊሆሙ ።

    And their enemies afflicted them; and they were brought low under their hands.

43. Verse 43.፵፫

    ወዘልፈ ፡ ያድኅኖሙ ፤ ወእሙንቱሰ ፡ አምረርዎ ፡ በምክሮሙ ፡ ወሐሙ ፡ በኀጢአቶሙ ።

    And many times he delivered them; but they kept provoking him in their counsel, and they were brought low in their iniquity.

44. Verse 44.፵፬

    ወርእዮሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ተመንደቡ ፤ ወሰምዖሙ ፡ ጸሎቶሙ ።

    Yet he saw them, that they were afflicted; and he heard their prayer.

45. Verse 45.፵፭

    ወተዘከረ ፡ ኪዳኖ ፤ ወነስሐ ፡ በከመ ፡ ብዙኀ ፡ ምሕረቱ ።

    And he remembered his covenant; and he relented according to the abundance of his mercy.

46. Verse 46.፵፮

    ወወሀቦሙ ፡ ሣህሎ ፤ በቅድመ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ፀወውዎሙ ።

    And he granted them compassion in the sight of all those who held them captive.

47. Verse 47.፵፯

    አድኅነነ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ አምላክነ ፡ ወአስተጋብአነ ፡ እምአሕዛብ ፤ ከመ ፡ ንግበይ ፡ ለስምከ ፡ ቅዱስ ፡ ወከመ ፡ ንትመካሕ ፡ በስብሐቲከ ።

    Save us, O Yahweh our God, and gather us from among the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name, and that we may glory in your praise.

48. Verse 48.፵፰

    ይትባረክ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላከ ፡ እስራኤል ፤ እምቅድመ ፡ ዓለም ፡ ወእስከ ፡ ለዓለም ፤ ወይበል ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ለይኩን ፡ ለይኩን ።

    Blessed be Yahweh the God of Israel, from before the world and even forever; and let all the people say, Let it be, let it be.
