- Verse 1.
ሀሌሉያ ። ግኔዩ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወጸውዑ ፡ ስሞ ፤ ወንግርዎሙ ፡ ለአሕዛብ ፡ ምግባሮ ።
Hallelujah. Give thanks to Yahweh and call upon his name; and declare his deeds among the nations.
- Verse 2.
ሰብሕዎ ፡ ወዘምሩ ፡ ሎቱ ፤ ወንግሩ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ መንክሮ ።
Praise him and sing to him; and tell of all his wonders.
- Verse 3.
ወትከብሩ ፡ በስሙ ፡ ቅዱስ ፤ ለይትፌሣሕ ፡ ልብ ፡ ዘየኀሦ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ።
And glory in his holy name; let the heart of those who seek Yahweh rejoice.
- Verse 4.
ኅሥዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወትጸንዑ ፤ ወኅሡ ፡ ገጾ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ጊዜ ።
Seek Yahweh and be strong; and seek his face at all times.
- Verse 5.
ወተዘከሩ ፡ መንክሮ ፡ ዘገብረ ፤ ተኣምሪሁ ፡ ወኵነኔ ፡ አፉሁ ።
And remember his wonders which he did, his signs and the judgments of his mouth.
- Verse 6.
ዘርዐ ፡ አብርሃም ፡ አግብርቲሁ ፤ ወደቂቀ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ኅሩያኒሁ ።
O seed of Abraham his servants, and children of Jacob his chosen ones.
- Verse 7.
ውእቱ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክነ ፤ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ምድር ፡ ኵነኔሁ ።
He is Yahweh our God; in all the earth are his judgments.
- Verse 8.
ወተዘከረ ፡ ሥርዐቶ ፡ ዘለዓለም ፤ ቃሎ ፡ ዘአዘዘ ፡ ለዐሠርቱ ፡ ምእት ፡ ትውልድ ።
And he remembered his ordinance for ever, his word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
- Verse 9.
ዘሠርዐ ፡ ለአብርሃም ፤ ወመሐለ ፡ ለይስሐቅ ።
Which he ordained for Abraham, and his oath to Isaac.
- Verse 10.
ወአቀመ ፡ ስምዐ ፡ ለያዕቆብ ፤ ወለእስራኤል ፡ ኪዳኖ ፡ ዘለዓለም ።
And he established it as a testimony for Jacob, and for Israel an everlasting covenant.
- Verse 11.
ወይቤሎ ፤ ለከ ፡ እሁበከ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ከናዐን ፤ ትኩንክሙ ፡ ሐብለ ፡ ርስትክሙ ።
And he said to him, To you I will give the land of Canaan, that it may be to you the portion of your inheritance.
- Verse 12.
እንዘ ፡ ውኁዳን ፡ ጥቀ ፡ እሙንቱ ፤ ወፈላስያን ፡ ውስቴታ ።
When they were very few, and sojourners in it.
- Verse 13.
ወኀለፉ ፡ እምሕዝብ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሕዝብ ፤ ወእምነገሥት ፡ ውስተ ፡ ካልእ ፡ ሕዝብ ።
And they passed from people to people, and from kingdoms to another people.
- Verse 14.
ወኢኀደገ ፡ ይስሐጦሙ ፡ ሰብእ ፤ ወገሠጸ ፡ ነገሥተ ፡ በእንቲአሆሙ ።
And he did not let man wrong them; and he rebuked kings on their account.
- Verse 15.
ኢትግስሱ ፡ መሲሓንየ ፤ ወኢታሕሥሙ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ነቢያትየ ።
Touch not my anointed ones, and do not deal harshly with my prophets.
- Verse 16.
ወአምጽአ ፡ ረኃበ ፡ ለብሔር ፤ ወአጥፍአ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ኀይለ ፡ እክል ።
And he brought a famine upon the land, and destroyed all the strength of bread.
- Verse 17.
ፈነወ ፡ ብእሴ ፡ ቅድሜሆሙ ፤ ወተሰይጠ ፡ ዮሴፍ ፡ ወኮነ ፡ ገብረ ።
He sent a man before them; and Joseph was sold and became a slave.
- Verse 18.
ወሐማ ፡ እገሪሁ ፡ በመዋቅሕት ፤ ወአምሰጠት ፡ ነፍሱ ፡ እምኀጺን ።
And they afflicted his feet with fetters; and his soul escaped from the iron.
- Verse 19.
ዘእንበለ ፡ ይብጻሕ ፡ ቃሉ ፤ ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እመከሮ ።
Until the time that his word came; the word of Yahweh tried him.
- Verse 20.
ወፈነወ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ወፈትሖ ፤ ወሤሞ ፡ መልአከ ፡ አሕዛብ ።
And the king sent and loosed him; and he set him a ruler over the peoples.
- Verse 21.
ወረሰዮ ፡ እግዚአ ፡ ለቤቱ ፤ ወአኰነኖ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ጥሪቱ ።
And he made him lord of his house, and gave him authority over all his possessions.
- Verse 22.
ከመ ፡ ይገሥጾሙ ፡ ለመላእክቲሁ ፡ ከማሁ ፤ ወከመ ፡ ያጥብቦሙ ፡ ለሊቃውንቲሁ ፡ ከማሁ ።
That he might instruct his princes likewise, and that he might make his elders wise likewise.
- Verse 23.
ወቦአ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ብሔረ ፡ ግብጽ ፤ ወያዕቆብኒ ፡ ኀደረ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ካም ።
And Israel entered the land of Egypt; and Jacob also sojourned in the land of Ham.
- Verse 24.
ወአብዝኆሙ ፡ ለሕዝቡ ፡ ፈድፋደ ፤ ወአጽንዖሙ ፡ እምፀሮሙ ።
And he greatly multiplied his people; and made them stronger than their adversaries.
- Verse 25.
ወሜጠ ፡ ልቦሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይጽልኡ ፡ ሕዝቦ ፤ ወከመ ፡ ይሐብልይዎሙ ፡ ለአግብርቲሁ ።
And he turned their heart to hate his people, and to deal craftily with his servants.
- Verse 26.
ወፈነወ ፡ ሙሴሃ ፡ ገብሮ ፤ ወአሮንሃ ፡ ኅሩዮ ።
And he sent Moses his servant, and Aaron his chosen one.
- Verse 27.
ወሤመ ፡ ቃለ ፡ ትእምርት ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፤ ወመንክሮሂ ፡ በምድረ ፡ ካም ።
And he set the words of his signs upon them, and his wonders in the land of Ham.
- Verse 28.
ወፈነወ ፡ ጽልመተ ፡ ወአጽለሞሙ ፤ ወአምረርዎ ፡ ለቃሉ ።
And he sent darkness and made it dark; and they embittered his word.
- Verse 29.
ወረሰየ ፡ ማዮሙ ፡ ደመ ፤ ወቀተለ ፡ ዐሣቲሆሙ ።
And he made their water blood, and killed their fish.
- Verse 30.
ወአውፅአት ፡ ምድሮሙ ፡ ቈርነነዓተ ፤ ውስተ ፡ አብያተ ፡ ነገሥቶሙ ።
And their land brought forth frogs, in the chambers of their kings.
- Verse 31.
ይቤ ፡ ወመጽአ ፡ አኮት ፤ ወትንንያ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ምድሮሙ ።
He spoke, and there came the dog-fly, and gnats in all their land.
- Verse 32.
ወረሰየ ፡ ዝናሞሙ ፡ በረደ ፤ ወነደ ፡ እሳት ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድሮሙ ።
And he made their rain hail, and a flame of fire in their land.
- Verse 33.
ወቀተለ ፡ ወይኖሙ ፡ ወበለሶሙ ፤ ወቀጥቀጠ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዕፀወ ፡ ብሔሮሙ ።
And he killed their vines and their fig trees, and shattered all the trees of their land.
- Verse 34.
ይቤ ፡ ወመጽአ ፡ አንበጣ ፤ ወደጎብያ ፡ ዘአልቦ ፡ ኈልቈ ።
He spoke, and there came the locust, and the caterpillar without number.
- Verse 35.
[ወበልዐ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ሣዕረ ፡ ብሔሮሙ ፤] ወበልዐ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ፍሬ ፡ ምድሮሙ ።
[And it devoured all the grass of their land;] and it devoured all the fruit of their land.
- Verse 36.
ወቀተለ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ በኵረ ፡ ብሔሮሙ ፤ ወቀዳሜ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ተግባሮሙ ።
And he killed all the firstborn of their land, the firstfruits of all their labor.
- Verse 37.
ወአውፅኦሙ ፡ በወርቅ ፡ ወበብሩር ፤ ወአልቦ ፡ ደዌ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሕዝቦሙ ።
And he brought them out with gold and with silver; and there was no sickness among their people.
- Verse 38.
ወተፈሥሑ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ በፀአቶሙ ፤ እስመ ፡ ፈርሀዎሙ ።
And Egypt rejoiced at their going out, for the fear of them had fallen upon them.
- Verse 39.
ወአንጦልዐ ፡ ደመና ፡ ወሰወሮሙ ፤ ወእሳትኒ ፡ ከመ ፡ ያብርህ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ በሌሊት ።
And he spread out a cloud and covered them; and fire to give them light by night.
- Verse 40.
ወሰአሉ ፡ ወመጽአ ፡ ፍርፍርት ፤ ወአጽገቦሙ ፡ ኅብስተ ፡ ሰማይ ።
And they asked, and there came the quail; and he satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
- Verse 41.
ወአንቅዐ ፡ ኰኵሐ ፡ ወአውሐዘ ፡ ማየ ፤ ወሖሩ ፡ አፍላግ ፡ ውስተ ፡ በድው ።
And he split the rock and poured out water; and the rivers ran in the desert.
- Verse 42.
እስመ ፡ ተዘከረ ፡ ቃሎ ፡ ቅዱሰ ፤ ዘኀበ ፡ አብርሃም ፡ ገብሩ ።
For he remembered his holy word, which was with Abraham his servant.
- Verse 43.
ወአውፅኦሙ ፡ ለሕዝብ ፡ በትፍሥሕት ፤ ወለኅሩያኒሁ ፡ በሐሤት ።
And he brought out his people with gladness, and his chosen ones with joy.
- Verse 44.
ወወሀቦሙ ፡ በሐውርተ ፡ አሕዛብ ፤ ወወረሱ ፡ ጻማ ፡ ባዕድ ።
And he gave them the lands of the nations; and they inherited the toil of others.
- Verse 45.
ከመ ፡ ይዕቀቡ ፡ ሕጎ ፤ ወይኅሥሡ ፡ ሥርዐቶ ።
That they might keep his law, and seek out his ordinance.
