  1. Verse 1.

    ዘዳዊት ። ትባርኮ ፡ ነፍስየ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ። እግዚኦ ፡ አምላኪየ ፡ ጥቀ ፡ ዐበይከ ፡ ፈድፋደ ፤ አሚነ ፡ ወዕበየ ፡ ስብሐት ፡ ለበስከ ።

    Of David. Bless Yahweh, O my soul. O Yahweh my God, you are exceedingly great indeed; faithfulness and the greatness of glory you have put on.

  2. Verse 2.

    ወለበስከ ፡ ብርሃነ ፡ ከመ ፡ ልብስ ፤ ወረበብኮ ፡ ለሰማይ ፡ ከመ ፡ ሠቅ ።

    And you have clothed yourself with light as with a garment; and you have spread out the heaven like a tent-cloth.

  3. Verse 3.

    ዘይጠፍር ፡ በማይ ፡ ጽርሖ ፡ ወረሰየ ፡ ደመና ፡ መከየዶ ፤ ዘየሐውር ፡ በክነፈ ፡ ነፋስ ።

    Who roofs his upper chamber with water, and has made the clouds his treading-place; who walks upon the wings of the wind.

  4. Verse 4.

    ዘይሬስዮሙ ፡ ለመላእክቲሁ ፡ መንፈሰ ፤ ወለእለ ፡ ይትለአክዎ ፡ ነደ ፡ እሳት ።

    Who makes his angels spirits, and those who serve him a flame of fire.

  5. Verse 5.

    ሳረራ ፡ ለምድር ፡ ወአጽንዓ ፤ ከመ ፡ ኢታንቀልቅል ፡ ለዓለመ ፡ ዓለም ።

    He founded the earth and made it firm, that it should not be shaken for ever and ever.

  6. Verse 6.

    ወቀላይኒ ፡ ከመ ፡ ልብስ ፡ ዐጽፋ ፤ ውስተ ፡ አድባር ፡ ይቀውሙ ፡ ማያት ።

    And the deep, like a garment, is its mantle; upon the mountains the waters stand.

  7. Verse 7.

    ወእምተግሣጽከ ፡ ይጐዩ ፤ ወእምድምፀ ፡ ነጐድጓድከ ፡ ይደነግፁ ።

    And at your rebuke they flee; and at the sound of your thunder they are terrified.

  8. Verse 8.

    የዐርጉ ፡ አድባረ ፡ ወይወርዱ ፡ ገዳመ ፤ ውስተ ፡ ብሔር ፡ ኀበ ፡ ሳረርኮሙ ።

    They go up the mountains and go down the valleys, to the place where you founded them.

  9. Verse 9.

    ወሠራዕኮሙ ፡ ወሰኖሙ ፡ እምኀበ ፡ ኢየኀልፉ ፤ ከመ ፡ ኢይትመየጡ ፡ ወኢይክድንዋ ፡ ለምድር ።

    And you set them a bound which they shall not pass over, that they should not turn back and cover the earth.

  10. Verse 10.

    ዘይፌኑ ፡ አንቅዕተ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቈላት ፤ ማእከለ ፡ አድባር ፡ የኀልፉ ፡ ማየት ።

    Who sends the springs into the ravines; in the midst of the mountains the waters pass.

  11. Verse 11.

    ወያሰትዩ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ አርዌ ፡ ገዳም ፤ ወይትወክፉ ፡ ሐለስትዮታት ፡ ለጽምኦሙ ።

    And they give drink to every beast of the field; and the wild asses receive [them] for their thirst.

  12. Verse 12.

    ወያጸሉ ፡ ህየ ፡ አዕዋፈ ፡ ሰማይ ፤ ወይነቅዉ ፡ በማእከለ ፡ ጾላዓት ።

    And there the birds of heaven nest; from the midst of the rocks they utter their voice.

  13. Verse 13.

    ዘይሰቅዮሙ ፡ ለአድባር ፡ እምውሳጥያቲሆሙ ፤ እምፍሬ ፡ ተግባርከ ፡ ትጸግብ ፡ ምድር ።

    Who waters the mountains from his upper chambers; from the fruit of your works the earth is satisfied.

  14. Verse 14.

    ዘያበቍል ፡ ሣዕረ ፡ ለእንስሳ ፡ ወኀመልማለ ፡ ለቅኔ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ፤ ከመ ፡ ያውፅእ ፡ እክለ ፡ እምድር ።

    Who makes the grass grow for the cattle, and green herb for the service of the children of men; that he may bring forth bread out of the earth.

  15. Verse 15.

    ወወይን ፡ ያስተፌሥሕ ፡ ልበ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ወቅብእ ፡ ለአብርሆ ፡ ገጽ ፤ ወእክል ፡ ያጸንዕ ፡ ኀይለ ፡ ሰብእ ።

    And wine that gladdens the heart of man, and oil to make the face shine; and bread that strengthens the strength of man.

  16. Verse 16.

    ወይጸግቡ ፡ ዕፀወ ፡ ገዳም ፤ አርዘ ፡ ሊባኖስ ፡ ዘተከልከ ።

    And the trees of the field are satisfied; the cedars of Lebanon which you planted.

  17. Verse 17.

    ወበህየ ፡ ይትዋለዳ ፡ አዕዋፍ ፤ ወይትጋወሮን ፡ ቤተ ፡ ሄርድያኖስ ።

    And there the birds make their nests; and the heron, its house is among them.

  18. Verse 18.

    አድባር ፡ ነዋኃት ፡ ለሀየላት ። ወጾላዓት ፡ ምጕያዮን ፡ ለግሔያት ።

    The high mountains are for the harts, and the rocks a refuge for the conies.

  19. Verse 19.

    ወገበርከ ፡ ወርኀ ፡ በዕድሜሁ ፤ ፀሐይኒ ፡ አእመረ ፡ ምዕራቢሁ ።

    And you made the moon for its season; the sun also knows its setting.

  20. Verse 20.

    ታመጽእ ፡ ጽልመተ ፡ ወይከውን ፡ ሌሊተ ፤ ወይወፅኡ ፡ ቦቱ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ አርዌ ፡ ገዳም ።

    You bring on darkness, and it becomes night; and in it all the beasts of the field go out.

  21. Verse 21.

    እጕለ ፡ አናብስት ፡ ይጥሕሩ ፡ ወይመስጡ ፤ ወይስእሉ ፡ ኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ሲሳዮሙ ።

    The young lions roar and seize, and seek their food from Yahweh.

  22. Verse 22.

    ወእምከመ ፡ ሠረቀ ፡ ፀሐይ ፡ የአትዉ ፤ ወይውዕሉ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ግበቢሆሙ ።

    And when the sun has risen they gather, and lie down in their dens.

  23. Verse 23.

    ወይወፍር ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ተግባሩ ፤ ወይውዕል ፡ ወይትቀነይ ፡ እስከ ፡ ይመሲ ።

    And man goes out to his work, and labors and toils until the evening.

  24. Verse 24.

    ጥቀ ፡ ዐቢይ ፡ ግብርከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ በጥበብ ፡ ገበርከ ፤ መልአ ፡ ምድር ፡ ዘፈጠርከ ።

    How great are your works, O Yahweh, and all in wisdom you have made them; the earth is full of what you have created.

  25. Verse 25.

    ዛቲ ፡ ባሕር ፡ ዐባይ ፡ ወረሓብ ፤ ህየ ፡ ዘይትሐወስ ፡ ዘአልቦ ፡ ኈልቁ ፡ እንስሳ ፡ ዐበይተ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ደቃቅ ።

    This sea, great and wide; there is that which moves there, of which there is no number, animals, great with small.

  26. Verse 26.

    ህየ ፡ ይሐውራ ፡ አሕማር ፤ ከይሲ ፡ ዘፈጠርከ ፡ ይሳለቅ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ።

    There the ships go; the serpent which you made plays therein.

  27. Verse 27.

    ወኵሉ ፡ ይሴፎ ፡ ኀቤከ ፤ አንተ ፡ ትሁቦሙ ፡ ሲሳዮሙ ፡ በበጊዜሁ ።

    And all wait upon you, that you may give them their food in its season.

  28. Verse 28.

    ወእምከመ ፡ ወሀብኮሙ ፡ ያስተጋብኡ ፤ ወፈቲሕከ ፡ እዴከ ፡ ታጸግብ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ እምሕረትከ ።

    And when you have given to them they gather it; and when you have opened your hand you satisfy all with your mercy.

  29. Verse 29.

    ወእመሰ ፡ ሜጥከ ፡ ገጸከ ፡ ይደነግፁ ፤ ታወፅእ ፡ መንፈሶሙ ፡ ወየኀልቁ ፡ ወይገብኡ ፡ ውስተ ፡ መሬቶሙ ።

    But when you have turned away your face they are terrified; you take away their spirit and they perish and return to their dust.

  30. Verse 30.

    ወትፌኑ ፡ መንፈሰከ ፡ ወይትፈጠሩ ፤ ወትሔድስ ፡ ገጻ ፡ ለምድር ።

    And you send forth your spirit and they are created; and you renew the face of the earth.

  31. Verse 31.

    ለይኩን ፡ ስብሐቲሁ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ለዓለም ፤ ይትፌሣሕ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በተግባሩ ።

    Let the glory of Yahweh be for ever; let Yahweh rejoice in his works.

  32. Verse 32.

    ዘይኔጽራ ፡ ለምድር ፡ ወይሬስያ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትርዐድ ፤ ዘይገሶሙ ፡ ለአድባር ፡ ወይጠይሱ ።

    Who looks upon the earth and makes it tremble; who touches the mountains and they smoke.

  33. Verse 33.

    እሴብሖ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ በሕይወትየ ፤ ወእዜምር ፡ ለአምላኪየ ፡ በአምጣነ ፡ ሀሎኩ ።

    I will praise Yahweh in my life; and I will sing to my God as long as I am.

  34. Verse 34.

    ወኣሠምሮ ፡ በቃልየ ፤ ወአንሰ ፡ እትፌሣሕ ፡ በእግዚአብሔር ።

    And may I please him with my word; and as for me, I will rejoice in Yahweh.

  35. Verse 35.

    ወየኀልቁ ፡ ኃጥኣን ፡ እምድር ፡ ወአማፅያንሂ ፡ ኢይሄልዉ ፡ እንከ ፤ ትባርኮ ፡ ነፍስየ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ።

    And let the sinners perish from the earth, and let the rebellious be no more; bless Yahweh, O my soul.
