መዝሙር ፻፪

1. Verse 1.፩

   ዘዳዊት ። ተባርኮ ፡ ነፍስየ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፤ ወኵሉ ፡ አዕጽምትየ ፡ ለስሙ ፡ ቅዱስ ።

   Of David. Bless Yahweh, O my soul; and all my bones, his holy name.

2. Verse 2.፪

   ተባርኮ ፡ ነፍስየ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፤ ወኢትርሳዕ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ሰብሐቲሁ ።

   Bless Yahweh, O my soul, and do not forget all his benefits.

3. Verse 3.፫

   ዘይሰሪ ፡ ለከ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ኃጢአትከ ፤ ዘይፌውሰከ ፡ እምኵሉ ፡ ደዌከ ።

   Who pardons for you all your sin; who heals you of all your sickness.

4. Verse 4.፬

   ዘያድኅና ፡ እሙስና ፡ ለሕይወትከ ፤ ዘይኬልለከ ፡ በሣህሉ ፡ ወበምሕረቱ ።

   Who saves your life from corruption; who crowns you with his grace and with his mercy.

5. Verse 5.፭

   ዘያጸግባ ፡ እምበረከቱ ፡ ለፍትወትከ ፤ ዘይሔድሳ ፡ ከመ ፡ ንስር ፡ ለውርዙትከ ።

   Who satisfies your desire from his blessing; who renews your youth like an eagle.

6. Verse 6.፮

   ገባሬ ፡ ሣህል ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፤ ወይፈትሕ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ ግፉዓን ።

   Yahweh is the worker of grace, and he does justice for all the oppressed.

7. Verse 7.፯

   አርአየ ፡ ፍናዊሁ ፡ ለሙሴ ፤ ወለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ሥምረቶ ።

   He showed his ways to Moses, and his good pleasure to the children of Israel.

8. Verse 8.፰

   መሓሪ ፡ ወመስተሣህል ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፤ ርሑቀ ፡ መዐት ፡ ወብዙኀ ፡ ምሕረት ፡ ወጻድቅ ።

   Yahweh is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in mercy, and righteous.

9. Verse 9.፱

   ኢይቀሥፍ ፡ ወትረ ፡ ወኢይትመዓዕ ፡ ዘልፈ ።

   He does not chastise forever, nor is he angry continually.

10. Verse 10.፲

    አኮ ፡ በከመ ፡ ኀጢአትነ ፡ ዘገብረ ፡ ለነ ፤ ወኢፈደየነ ፡ በከመ ፡ አበሳነ ።

    He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor repaid us according to our trespasses.

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    ወበከመ ፡ ልዑል ፡ ሰማይ ፡ እምድር ፤ አጽንዐ ፡ ምሕረቶ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ላዕለ ፡ እለ ፡ ይፈርህዎ ።

    And as high as heaven is above the earth, so has Yahweh made strong his mercy upon those who fear him.

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    ወበከመ ፡ ይርሕቅ ፡ ሠርቅ ፡ እምዐረብ ፤ አርሐቀ ፡ እምኔነ ፡ ኀጢአተነ ።

    And as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our sins from us.

13. Verse 13.፲፫

    ወበከመ ፡ ይምሕር ፡ አብ ፡ ውሉደ ፤ ከማሁ ፡ ይምሕሮሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለእለ ፡ ይፈርህዎ ።

    And as a father has mercy on his children, so does Yahweh have mercy on those who fear him.

14. Verse 14.፲፬

    እስመ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ያአመር ፡ ፍጥረተነ ፤ ተዘከር ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ከመ ፡ መሬት ፡ ንሕነ ።

    For he it is who knows our nature; remember, O Yahweh, that we are dust.

15. Verse 15.፲፭

    ወሰብእሰ ፡ ከመ ፡ ሣዕር ፡ መዋዕሊሁ ፤ ወከመ ፡ ጽጌ ፡ ገዳም ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ይፈሪ ።

    And as for man, his days are like grass; like the flower of the field, so does he blossom.

16. Verse 16.፲፮

    እስመ ፡ መንፈስ ፡ ይወፅእ ፡ እምኔሁ ፡ ወኢይሄሉ ፡ እንከ ፤ ወኢያአምር ፡ እንከ ፡ መካኖ ።

    For the wind passes out from it, and it is no more; and it knows its place no longer.

17. Verse 17.፲፯

    ወሣህሉሰ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ እምዓለም ፡ ወእስከ ፡ ለዓለም ፡ ዲበ ፡ እለ ፡ ይፈርህዎ ፤ ወጽድቁኒ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ትውልደ ፡ ትውልድ ።

    But the mercy of Yahweh is from everlasting and unto everlasting upon those who fear him; and his righteousness upon generation of generations.

18. Verse 18.፲፰

    ለእለ ፡ የዐቅቡ ፡ ሕጎ ፤ ወይዜከሩ ፡ ትእዛዞ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይግበሩ ።

    Upon those who keep his law, and remember his commandments to do them.

19. Verse 19.፲፱

    እግዚአብሔር ፡ አስተዳለወ ፡ መንበሮ ፡ በሰማያት ፤ ወኵሎ ፡ ይኴንን ፡ በመንግሥቱ ።

    Yahweh has prepared his throne in the heavens, and he rules over all in his kingdom.

20. Verse 20.፳

    ባርክዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ኵልክሙ ፡ መላእክቲሁ ፤ ጽኑዓን ፡ ወኀያላን ፡ እለ ፡ ትገብሩ ፡ ቃሎ ፡ ወእለ ፡ ትሰምዑ ፡ ቃለ ፡ ነገሩ ።

    Bless Yahweh, all you his angels; mighty and strong ones who do his word and who hear the voice of his speech.

21. Verse 21.፳፩

    ባርክዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ኀይሉ ፤ ላእካኑ ፡ እለ ፡ ይገብሩ ፡ ፈቃዶ ።

    Bless Yahweh, all his host; his servants who do his will.

22. Verse 22.፳፪

    ባርክዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ተግባሩ ፤ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ በሐውርተ ፡ መለኮቱ ፤ ትባርኮ ፡ ነፍስየ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ።

    Bless Yahweh, all his works, in every place of his dominion; bless Yahweh, O my soul.
