መዝሙር ፻

1. Verse 1.፩

   መዝሙር ፡ ዘዳዊት ። ምሕረተ ፡ ወፍትሕ ፡ አኀሊ ፡ ለከ ።

   A psalm of David. Of mercy and judgment I will sing to you.

2. Verse 2.፪

   እዜምር ፡ ወእሌቡ ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ ንጹሕ ፤ ማእዜ ፡ ትመጽእ ፡ ኀቤየ ። ወአሐውር ፡ በየዋሃተ ፡ ልብየ ፡ በማእከለ ፡ ቤትየ ።

   I will make music and give heed to the way of the innocent; when will you come to me? And I will walk in the integrity of my heart within my house.

3. Verse 3.፫

   ወኢረሰይኩ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ አዕይንትየ ፡ ግብረ ፡ እኩየ ፤ ጸላእኩ ፡ ገበርተ ፡ ዐመፃ ፡

   And I have set before my eyes no evil deed; I have hated the workers of iniquity.

4. Verse 4.፬

   ወኢተለወኒ ፡ ልብ ፡ ጠዋይ ። ሶበ ፡ ተግሕሠ ፡ እኩይ ፡ እምኔየ ፡ ኢያእመርኩ ።

   A crooked heart has not clung to me; when the evil one turned aside from me, I did not acknowledge him.

5. Verse 5.፭

   ዘየሐሚ ፡ ቢጾ ፡ በጽሚት ፡ ኪያሁ ፡ ሰደድኩ ፤ ዕቡየ ፡ ዐይን ፡ ወሥሡዐ ፡ ልብ ፡ ኢይትሀወል ፡ ምስሌየ ።

   Him who secretly slanders his neighbor, him I drove away; the proud of eye and the greedy of heart shall not abide with me.

6. Verse 6.፮

   አዕይንትየሰ ፡ ኀበ ፡ መሀይምናነ ፡ ምድር ፡ ከመ ፡ ኣንብሮሙ ፡ ምስሌየ ፤ ዘየሐውር ፡ በፍኖት ፡ ንጹሕ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ይትለአከኒ ።

   But my eyes are upon the faithful of the land, that I may settle them with me; he who walks in the way of innocence, he shall minister to me.

7. Verse 7.፯

   ወኢይነብር ፡ ማእከለ ፡ ቤትየ ፡ ዘይገብር ፡ ትዕቢተ ፤ ወኢያረትዕ ፡ ቅድሜየ ፡ ዘይነብብ ፡ ዐመፃ ።

   And he who works pride shall not abide within my house; and he who speaks iniquity shall not be established before me.

8. Verse 8.፰

   በጽባሕ ፡ እቀትሎሙ ፡ ለኵሎሙ ፡ ኃጥኣነ ፡ ምድር ፤ ከመ ፡ እሠርዎሙ ፡ እምሀገረ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለኵሎሙ ፡ ገበርተ ፡ ዐመፃ ።

   In the morning I will slay all the sinners of the land, that I may cut off from the city of Yahweh all the workers of iniquity.
