መዝሙር ፲፩

1. Verse 1.፩

   ፍጻሜ ፡ ስብሐት ፡ መዝሙር ፡ ዘዳዊት ፡ በእንተ ሳምንት ።

   To the end. A song. A psalm of David, concerning the eighth.

2. Verse 2.፪

   አድኅነኒ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኀልቀ ፡ ኄር ፤ ወውሕደ ፡ ሀይማኖት ፡ እምአጓለ ፡ እምሕያው ።

   Save me, O Yahweh, for the godly has failed; and faithfulness has grown scarce among the children of men.

3. Verse 3.፫

   ከንቶ ፡ ይትናገሩ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ካልኡ ፤ በከናፍረ ፡ ጕሕሉት ፡ በልብ ፡ ወበልብ ፡ ይትናገሩ ።

   Vain things they speak, each one with his neighbor; with deceitful lips, with a double heart they speak.

4. Verse 4.፬

   ይሤርዎን ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለከናፍረ ፡ ጕሕሉት ፤ ወለልሳን ፡ እንተ ፡ ታዐቢ ነቢበ ።

   May Yahweh destroy the deceitful lips, and the tongue that speaks boastful things,

5. Verse 5.፭

   እለ ፡ ይብሉ ፡ ናዐቢ ፡ ልሳናቲነ ፡ ወከናፍሪነኒ ፡ ኀቤነ ፡ እሙንቱ ፤ መኑ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እግዚእነ ።

   those who say, We will magnify our tongues; our lips are our own; who is lord over us?

6. Verse 6.፮

   በእንተ ፡ ሕማዎሙ ፡ ለነዳያን ፡ ወበእንተ ፡ ገዐሮሙ ፡ ለሙቁሓን ፤ ይእዜ ፡ እትነሣእ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እሬሲ ፡ መድኀኒተ ፡ ወእግህድ ፡ ቦቱ ።

   Because of the affliction of the poor and because of the groaning of the bound, Now I will arise, says Yahweh; I will set him in safety; I will deal openly with him.

7. Verse 7.፯

   ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ቃል ፡ ንጹሕ ፤ ከመ ብሩር ፡ ጽሩይ ፡ ወንጡፍ ፡ ወፍቱን ፡ እምድር ፡ ዘአጽረይዎ ፡ ምስብዒተ ።

   The word of Yahweh is a pure word; like silver refined and purged and tried in the earth, purified sevenfold.

8. Verse 8.፰

   አንተ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ዕቀበነ ፤ ወተማኅፀነነ ፡ እምዛቲ ፡ ትውልድ ፡ ወእስከ ፡ ለዓለም ።

   You, O Yahweh, keep us; and protect us from this generation and forevermore.

9. Verse 9.፱

   ዐውደ ፡ የሐውሩ ፡ ረሲዓን ፤ ወበከመ ፡ ልዕልናከ ፡ ሠራዕኮሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ።

   The wicked walk round about; according to your loftiness you have set the children of men.
