1. Verse 1.፩

   ይነግሥ፣ላዕለ፣ኩሉ፣እስራኤል

   and he reigned over all Israel.

2. Verse 2.፪

   ወእሉ፣እሙንቱ፣መላእክት፣ዘሎቱ፣አዛርያስ፣ወልደ፣ሳዶቅ፣ካህን ✣

   And these are the officials who were his: Azariah son of Zadok the priest;

3. Verse 3.፫

   ኤልያብ፣ወአኪያ፣ደቂቀ፣ሱፋት ✣ ወኢዮሳፍጥ፣ወልደ፣አክያድ፣መዘክር ✣

   Elihoreph and Ahijah, the sons of Shisha, [scribes]; and Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud, the recorder;

4. Verse 4.፬

   ወብንያስ፣ወልደ፣ዮዳሐ፣መልአከ፣ኃየሉ፣ሳዶቅ፣ወአብያታር፣ካህናት ✣

   and Benaiah son of Jehoiada over the army; and Zadok and Abiathar, priests;

5. Verse 5.፭

   ወአዛርያስ፣ወልደ፣ናታን፣ላዕለ፣ስዶማን፣ወዛቡል፣ወልደ፣ናታን፣ካህን፣ዘእምታሕቲ፣ንጉሥ

   and Azariah son of Nathan over the officers [governors]; and Zabud son of Nathan, a priest, who was [the king's friend / under the king];

6. Verse 6.፮

   ወአክያል፣መገቤ፣ቤት፣ወአዶኒራም፣ወልደ፣አብዶድ፣ላዕለ፣ዓር ✣

   and Ahishar, steward of the house; and Adoniram son of Abda over the tribute [forced labor].

7. Verse 7.፯

   ወቦ፣ሰሎምን፣፲፣ወ፪ቱ፣እደው፣ላዕለ፣ኩሉ፣እስራኤል፣ከመ፣ይሴስይዎ፣ለንጉሥ፣ወለኩሉ፣ቤቱ፣ለሰውርሐ፣፩ድ፣ብእሲ፣እስከ፣ይትፌጸም፣፩ድ፣አመተ

   And Solomon had twelve officials over all Israel, who provisioned the king and all his household; for one month each one would provision, until the twelve-month was completed.

8. Verse 8.፰

   ወዝንቱ፣ውእቱ፣አስማቲሆሙ፣ወልደ፣ሐር፣በደብረ፣ኤፍሬም

   And these are their names: the son of Hur, in the hill country of Ephraim;

9. Verse 9.፱

   ወልደ፣ራኬብ፣በማኄላስ፣ወቤት፣ሳሚስ፣ወኤሎን፣ወቤተ፣ሄናን ✣

   the son of Rekab [Deker], in Makaz and Beth-shemesh and Elon and Beth-hanan;

10. Verse 10.፲

    ወልደ፣ሄሁድ፣በአራቦት፣ወለሴክ፣ወኩሉ፣ምድረ፣ሔፈር

    the son of Hesed, in Arubboth, and Socoh, and all the land of Hepher;

11. Verse 11.፲፩

    ለወልደ፣አሚናዳብ፣ኩልንፉር፣ወሐናጡፍ፣ወለተ፣ሰሎምን፣ኮነት፣ሎቱ፣ብእሲተ

    the son of Aminadab [Ben-abinadab], all Naphath-dor; and Taphath the daughter of Solomon became his wife;

12. Verse 12.፲፪

    በዓናሳ፣ወልደ፣አኩሁድ፣ወታእናክ፣ወመቄዳ፣ወኩሉ፣ቤተ፣ሳኤን፣ዘመንገሌ፣አስትና፣ዘመትሕተ፣ኢይዝራኤል፣እምቤተ፣ሳኤን፣እስከ፣አቤል፣መሐለ፣እስከ፣ማእደተ፣ሉቅማ ✣

    Baana son of Ahilud, [in] Taanach and Megiddo and all Beth-shan which is beside Zarethan, below Jezreel, from Beth-shan as far as Abel-meholah, as far as the [crossing-place] of Jokmeam;

13. Verse 13.፲፫

    ወልደ፣ጋቤር፣በራሞት፣ዘገለአድ፣ውእቱ፣ወሰናሙ፣ሐውታኤር፣ወልደ፣ምናሴ፣ዝንቱ፣በገለአድ፣ውእቱ፣ወሰናሙ፣ሐቤል፣አርጌብ፣ዝንቱ፣በባሳን፣፷፣አህጉር፣ዓበይት፣እለ፣ቦን፣ቅጻሬ፣ዘመናስግቲሆን፣ብርት።

    the son of Geber, in Ramoth-gilead — his were the villages [encampments] of Havvoth-jair son of Manasseh which are in Gilead; his also was the region of Argob which is in Bashan, sixty great cities that had walls and bronze bars;

14. Verse 14.፲፬

    ወአሄሮብ፣ወልደ፣ኤዳን፣ዘምናህም

    and Ahinadab son of Iddo, [in] Mahanaim;

15. Verse 15.፲፭

    ወአኪማሐስ፣ዘንፍታሌም፣ወውእቱ፣ነሥአ፣ለማሄማት፣ወለተ፣ሰሎምን፣ትኩኖ፣ብእሲተ

    and Ahimaaz, in Naphtali — he too took Basemath the daughter of Solomon to be his wife;

16. Verse 16.፲፮

    በዓና፣ወልደ፣ኩሲ፣በአሴር፣ወብኤሎት ✣

    Baana son of Hushai, in Asher and in Bealoth;

17. Verse 17.፲፯

    ወኢዮሳፍጥ፣ወልደ፣ፋሩኒ፣በይሳኮር ✣

    and Jehoshaphat son of Paruah, in Issachar;

18. Verse 18.፲፰

    ወሰሚ፣ወልደ፣ኤላ፣በብንያም

    and Shimei son of Ela, in Benjamin;

19. Verse 19.፲፱

    ወጋቤር፣ወልደ፣ዑራ፣በምድረ፣ገለአድ፣ምድረ፣ሲዎን፣ንቱው፣አሞርዎን፣ወዐግ፣ንቱው፣ባሳን፣ወናዊብ ፬

    and Geber son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, the land of Sihon king of the Amorites and of Og king of Bashan; and Nasib. (4)

20. Verse 20.፳

    ዝንቱ፣በምድረ፣ይሁዳ፣ወእስራኤል፣ከመ፣ኖዕ፣ባሕር፣ብዙኃን፣ይበልዑ፣ወስትዩ፣ወይትፌሥሑ ✣

    These were in the land of Judah and Israel, as numerous as the sand of the sea; they were eating and drinking and rejoicing.

21. Verse 21.፳፩

    ወኮነ፣ሰሎምን፣ንቱው፣ላዕለ፣ኩሉ፣ነገሥታተ፣ምድር፣እምፈለገ፣ፍልጥኤም፣እስከ፣ፈለገ፣ግብጽ፣ያመጽኡ፣ሎቱ፣እምነ፣ወይትቀነዩ፣ለሰሎምን፣በኩሉ፣መዋዕለ፣ሕይወቱ ✣

    And Solomon was ruler over all the kingdoms of the earth, from the River Euphrates to the river of Egypt; they brought tribute to him, and they served Solomon all the days of his life.

22. Verse 22.፳፪

    ወኮነ፣ማእደ፣ሰሎምን፣ለለ፣ዕለት፣ዕለት፣ዘይትገበር፣፴፣በመስፈርት፣ቆርክ፣ስንዳሌ፣፷፣በመስፈርት፣ቆርስ፣ሐሪጽ፣ለትም ✣

    And the provision of Solomon for each single day was thirty measures of fine flour and sixty measures of meal,

23. Verse 23.፳፫

    ወ፲፣አልሕምት፣ንፁሓን፣ወ፲፣አልህምተ፣መራዕይ፣ወ፮፣አባግዓ፣ዘእንበለ፣ኃየል፣ወወይጠል፣ወመግዝእ፣ደዋርህ ✣

    and ten fatted oxen and ten oxen from the pastures, and six sheep, besides deer and gazelle and roebuck and fatted fowl.

24. Verse 24.፳፬

    እስመ፣ውእቱ፣መኩንን፣ላዕለ፣ኩሉ፣ማእደተ፣ፈለግ፣እምነተፍሲሐ፣እስከ፣አዜብ፣ላዕለ፣ኩሉ፣ነገሥት፣እለ፣ማዕደተ፣ፈለግ፣ወኩሎሙ፣እለ፣ዓውዱ፣ስሰ፣ምስሌሁ ✣

    For he was ruler over all the region beyond the River, from Tiphsah as far as Gaza [Azzah], over all the kings who were beyond the River; and all who were round about him were at peace with him.

25. Verse 25.፳፭

    ወንበሩ፣ይሁዳ፣ወእስራኤል፣ተአሚኖሙ፣ታሕተ፣ወይኖሙ፣ወታሕተ፣በለሱ፣እምዳን፣እስከ፣ቤርሳቤሕ፣በኩሉ፣መዋዕሊሁ፣ለሰሎምን ✣

    And Judah and Israel dwelt securely, each man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.

26. Verse 26.፳፮

    ወቦ፣ለሰሎምን፣፴፣አፍራስ፣እለ፣ይስሕቡ፣ሰረገላተ፣፲፣ወ፪የ፣አፍራስ፣መራድ

    And Solomon had thirty [thousand] horses that drew chariots, and twelve [thousand] riding-horses [horsemen].

27. Verse 27.፳፯

    ወይሤድዕሉ፣እደው፣ስደማነ፣ንቱሥ፣ሰሎምን፣ወኩሎሙ፣ያስተጋብኡ፣ማእደ፣ንቱሥ፣ሰሎምን፣ብእሲ፣ብእሲ፣በወርኁ፣ወአልቦ፣ዘየሐጽፅ

    And the officers provisioned King Solomon, and all who came to the table of King Solomon, each man in his month, and nothing was lacking.

28. Verse 28.፳፰

    ወእምነተን፣ወሰገሜን፣ወኃሠረ፣ይጸውሩ፣ለአፍራስ፣እለ፣ይስሕቡ፣ሠረገላተ፣ንቱሥ፣ወንዋየኒ፣ያበውኡ፣እምዓበ፣መካን፣ብእሲ፣በበ፣ሥርዓቱ ✣

    And the barley and the straw for the horses that drew the chariots [and for the swift steeds] they would bring to the place where it was needed [where the king was], each man according to his charge.

29. Verse 29.፳፱

    ወወሀቦ፣እግዚእብሔር፣ጥበበ፣ወአእምሮ፣ወልቡና፣ለሰሎምን፣ብዙኃ፣ፈድፋዱ፣ወርኅበ፣ልቡ፣ከመ፣ኖዕ፣ባሕር ✣

    And Yahweh gave Solomon wisdom and understanding and discernment exceedingly much, and breadth of heart like the sand that is on the seashore.

30. Verse 30.፴

    ወብዝኃት፣ጥበቡ፣ለሰሎምን፣ፈድፋዱ፣እምጥበበ፣ኩሎሙ፣ደቂቀ፣ቀደም፣ወእምኩሎሙ፣ወቢዓነ፣ግብጽ ✣

    And the wisdom of Solomon was greater than the wisdom of all the children of the East and than all the wise men of Egypt.

31. Verse 31.፴፩

    ወጠበበ፣እምኩሉ፣ሰብእ፣እምነ፣ኤታን፣አዝራኒ፣ወእምነ፣ሄማን፣ወኬልኤል፣ወደርደራ፣ደቂቀ፣ማሁል፣ወበጽሐ፣ስሙ፣ውስተ፣ኩሉ፣አሕዛብ፣እለ፣ዓውዱ

    And he was wiser than all men — than Ethan the Ezrahite, and than Heman and Calcol and Darda the sons of Mahol — and his name reached among all the nations round about.

32. Verse 32.፴፪

    ወነበበ፣ሰሎምን፣፫የ፣ምሳሌቱ፣፬የ፣ማሕሌቱ ✣

    And Solomon spoke three [thousand] proverbs, and his songs were four [thousand].

33. Verse 33.፴፫

    ወነበበ፣በእንተ፣ዕፀው፣እምነ፣እርዘ፣ሊባኖስ፣እስከ፣ሐዛብ፣ዘይውዕእ፣ውስተ፣አረፍት፣ወነበበ፣በእንተ፣እንስሳ፣ወበእንተ፣አዕዋፍ፣ወበእንተ፣ዘይትሐወስ፣ውስተ፣ምድር፣ወበእንተ፣ዓሣታት ✣

    And he spoke concerning the trees, from the cedar of Lebanon to the hyssop that springs out of the wall; and he spoke concerning beasts, and concerning birds, and concerning what creeps upon the earth, and concerning fish.

34. Verse 34.፴፬

    ወይመጽኡ፣ኩሉ፣ሕዝብ፣ከመ፣ይስምዑ፣ጥበቦ፣ለሰሎምን፣ወኩሎሙ፣ነገሥተ፣ምድር፣ይመጽኡ፣ከመ፣ይስምዑ፣ጥበቦ

    And all the peoples came to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and all the kings of the earth came to hear his wisdom.
