መዝሙር ፲፫

1. Verse 1.፩

   ፍጻሜ ፡ መዝሙር ፡ ዘዳዊት ። ይብል ፡ አብድ ፡ በልቡ ፡ አልቦ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፤ ኀስሩ ፡ ወረኵሱ ፡ በምግባሪሆሙ ፤ አልቦ ፡ ዘይገብራ ፡ ለሠናይት ፡ አልቦ ፡ ወኢአሐዱ ።

   To the end. A psalm of David. The fool says in his heart, There is no Yahweh; they are corrupt and have become abominable in their deeds; there is none who does good, no, not one.

2. Verse 2.፪

   እግዚአብሔር ፡ ሐወጸ ፡ እምሰማይ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እምሕያው ፤ ከመ ፡ ይርአይ ፡ እመቦ ፡ ጠቢበ ፡ ዘየኀሦ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ።

   Yahweh looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any wise one who seeks after Yahweh.

3. Verse 3.፫

   ኵሉ ፡ ዐረየ ፡ ወኅቡረ ፡ ዐለወ ፤ አልቦ ፡ ዘይገብራ ፡ ለሠናይት ፡ አልቦ ፡ ወኢአሐዱ ። [-] ከመ ፡ መቃብር ፡ ክሡት ፡ ጐራዒቶሙ ፡ ወጸልሐዉ ፡ በልሳናቲሆሙ ፡ ሕምዘ ፡ አርዌ ፡ ምድር ፡ ታሕተ ፡ ከነፍሪሆሙ ። [-] መሪር ፡ አፋሆሙ ፡ ወምሉእ ፡ መርገም ፤ በሊኅ ፡ እገሪሆሙ ፡ ለክዒወ ፡ ደም ። [-] ኀሳር ፡ ወቅጥቃጤ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ፍኖቶሙ ፤ ወኢያአምርዋ ፡ ለፍኖተ ፡ ሰላም ። ወአልቦ ፡ ፍርሀተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ቅድመ ፡ አዕይንቲሆሙ ።

   All have turned aside, together they have become depraved; there is none who does good, no, not one. [-] Their throat is an open grave; with their tongues they have practiced deceit; the venom of asps is under their lips. [-] Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness; their feet are swift to shed blood. [-] Destruction and misery are in their ways; and the way of peace they have not known. There is no fear of Yahweh before their eyes.

4. Verse 4.፬

   ወኢያአምሩ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ ገበርተ ፡ ዐመፃ ፤ እለ ፡ ይውኅጥዎሙ ፡ ለሕዝብየ ፡ ከመ ፡ በሊዐ ፡ እክል ። ወለእግዚአብሔርሰ ፡ ኢጸውዕዎ ።

   Shall not all the workers of iniquity know, who devour my people as though eating bread? They have not called upon Yahweh.

5. Verse 5.፭

   ወበህየ ፡ ፈርሁ ፡ ወገረሞሙ ፡ ዘኢኮነ ፡ ግሩመ ፤ እስመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ትውልደ ፡ ጻድቃን ።

   There they feared with fear, where there was no fear; for Yahweh is in the generation of the righteous.

6. Verse 6.፮

   ወአስተኀፈርክሙ ፡ ምክረ ፡ ነዳይ ፤ እስመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ተስፋሆሙ ፡ ውእቱ ።

   You have shamed the counsel of the poor; for Yahweh is their hope.

7. Verse 7.፯

   መኑ ፡ ይሁብ ፡ መድኀኒተ ፡ እምጽዮን ፡ ለእስራኤል ። አመ ፡ ሜጠ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ፄዋ ፡ ሕዝቡ ፤ ይትፌሣሕ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ወይትሐሠይ ፡ እስራኤል ።

   Who shall give salvation to Israel out of Zion? When Yahweh turns back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice and Israel shall be glad.
