መዝሙር ፩

1. Verse 1.፩

   ብፁዕ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ዘኢሖረ ፡ በምክረ ፡ ረሲዓን ፤ ወዘኢቆመ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ ኃጥኣን ፤ ወዘኢነበረ ፡ ውስተ ፡ መንበረ ፡ መስተሳልቃን ።

   Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the wicked, and has not stood in the way of sinners, and has not sat in the seat of the scornful.

2. Verse 2.፪

   ዘዳእሙ ፡ ሕገ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ሥምረቱ ፤ ወዘሕጎ ፡ ያነብብ ፡ መዕልተ ፡ ወሌሊተ ።

   But rather his delight is in the law of Yahweh, and on his law he meditates day and night.

3. Verse 3.፫

   ወይከውን ፡ ከመ ፡ ዕፅ ፡ እንተ ፡ ትክልት ፡ ኀበ ፡ ሙሓዘ ፡ ማይ ፤ እንተ ፡ ትሁብ ፡ ፍሬሃ ፡ በበጊዜሃ ። ወቈጽላኒ ፡ ኢይትነገፍ ፤ ወኵሎ ፡ ዘገብረ ፡ ይፌጽም ።

   And he shall be like a tree planted by the streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season. And its leaf does not wither, and everything that he does he brings to completion.

4. Verse 4.፬

   አኮ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ኃጥኣንሰ ፡ አኮ ፡ ከመዝ ፤ ዳእሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ መሬት ፡ ዘይግሕፍ ፡ ነፍስ ፡ እምገጸ ፡ ምድር ።

   Not so are the wicked, not so; but rather they are like the chaff that the wind sweeps from the face of the earth.

5. Verse 5.፭

   ወበእንተዝ ፡ ኢይትነሥኡ ፡ ረሲዓን ፡ እምደይን ፤ ወኢኃጥኣን ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምክረ ፡ ጻድቃን ።

   And therefore the wicked shall not rise up in the judgment, nor sinners in the council of the righteous.

6. Verse 6.፮

   እስመ ፡ ያአምር ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ፍኖቶሙ ፡ ለጻድቃን ፤ ወፍኖቶሙ ፡ ለኃጥኣን ፡ ትጠፍእ ።

   For Yahweh knows the way of the righteous, and the way of the wicked shall perish.
